Nice tips, I am looking at moving to UAE too with Residence visa before year end but I have a few questions:

Even without UAE experience can I secure a 5k job with my own Visa?

Will Arabic proficiency be of any advantage to me

Someone also mentioned obtaining a valid UAE driving license but that's too expensive to start with.

Gurus in the house should enlighten us.

Regards.

Arabic proficiency will be an added advantage.

Get International drivers license atleast to show you can drive in home country.

Residence visa allows you to rent your own apartment and start that commercial leasing of bed space etc. You can make good money from it but...

Events security , some sales job.

You can do CCTV jobs and lot of other engagements.

Everything is just trial and luck..

The journey is not for the weak.

For freshers, pls dont waste your time in Nigeria come over to hustle and at least it's better off.

For those with good years of professional experience 5-7 yrs above i will advise you come over to UAE on a residence visa. This was an advice from Damac properties HR.

For teaching , a regular education degree is needed, (IELTS band 7 above for non native english speakers) when i called some schools.
Some schools actually put up adverts for europeans and others, they will never hire blacks esp men.

I repeat no job agent has a link for teaching jobs, you rather submit cv to school or be recommended by someone who works there.

Well, i may not have combed everywhere but the 4k--8k jobs available are for experienced hire and require own visa.

I understand that uae visa is very easy, 3months blabla but, will you be ready to do cleaning jobs etc?

Each time i approach a foreigner for job, i hear Nigerians too much problems...

Take your time very well for this UAE journey. It was an eye opener for me anyway.

From the post and comment I have read for some pages so far. It is like most people going to UAE are unskilled or not certified hence the struggle to get job or maybe they are misinformed. However I haven't seen any comments concerning skilled jobs for artisans like painters, plumbers, tilers etc... Like we're made to believe back home that UAE are meant for skilled, professional and business purposes. My question is how about these artisans jobs are they really in demands.
What are their chances of getting a good Jobs over there.
I have two of my cousins who are painters and would like to relocate UAE with their skill in painting. I also have a friend who is into travelling agency whom I spoke to about it and he offer to assist them with Direct employment he said their skill is in demands in UAE and Cyprus. But after much discussion with him he decided we should settle for UAE because I told him I can't afford the two guys at a time.
Note he's not demanding any money from me because he's more than a friend this is a way of assistance. He just told me to get their I P get back to him that he will get them employment Visa for them that UAE company will take care of their flight, work permit and Visa so when they get there they can raise money from there and move to other European countries. So please those with experience what do you think about this. I hope to hear from the experience ones. Thank you

Well, my 2 weeks here made me see alot of things happening.
Construction industry is very open but has its own limitations. But looking away from all odds, i think its possible to secure an employment from Nigeria since pay is like 1000--1500aed.
Finally, let them come over so that they can begin to gain foreign cognate experience too.

The UK bank have IBAN and swift code and all of that right?

just tell her, you want to do like they pay school fees abroad.

Good Afternoon House.
Please is there a minimum amount of cash I am required to hold while traveling to Dubai for a week visit. This is mainly to minimize harassment from Nigerian Immigration officers. I have more than enough money for the trip on my MasterCard, just not sure if I'll be required to hold some in cash - are there any regulations for that? (I prefer to travel cashless)

500usd is ok..

Why not do the NEBOSH IGC from Nigeria if you are not travelling now. NEBOSH training is like 10days, then you book for exam. The result is not instantly. I think it takes some months to come out. So if you do 3months visa and do your NEBOSH exam first week in UAE(Which is very unlikely), your results will come out when your visa is about to kalas.
Also transport costs to your training venue is likely more than what you will spend in Nigeria. And that two weeks you will sit inside class being bored about safety first, your 90days is counting down brother.

You cannot do nebosh igc without HSE1-3 in Nigeria.
Nebosh cost over 500k in Nigeria (you know our people).

Well, even nebosh guys still dey waka about for jobs.

Not decided yet.

I know Autocad, Archi Cad, Orion, 3D max, and photoshop. but I don't know revit or staadpro. Or civil 3D.
I was thinking I can apply for job as interrior designer or draftsman.

You can start shooting applications on nakrigulf or indeed now.

Still on still, you will need to search.

The big jobs are available but penetrating is the issue(not really).

I have gone to over 15 construction sites with my CV , well they sound positive but I have been advised to quickly do Nebosh igc( 300-350k).

I will prefer this to sira since nebosh is globally accepted etc.

Like they have been saying on here, the journey is not for the fainthearted.

I really want to know, is it better for me to go with 3 months visa or residency visa, which one has more advantage ...

My own advise is come with employment visa or 3months then start processing residence visa.

Be very careful with those agents...

Visa is cheaper than what they charge

Thanks so much bro. How long will it take to get a good job there with this residence permit and without UAE job experience? What's the least pay one can get with a residence permit in Dubai? If someone wants to rent let's say a studio or room self con there like how much? How long will it take one to port enter another country with Dubai residence permit? How do I go about it cause this most of these agents hmmmm

The general advice is always to come over with 3months visa and explore the city. All other things will be open to you right in your presence.

My 2cents, yes its easier to port to other countries. How easy i cant say.

Just this evening, a resident told me i can see oman for few days with my 3months visit visa.
There is even a bus to oman from UAE.

Once i try it, i will share the process with the house.
