This is an interesting issue even though am just seeing it about 4 years after it was posted.

I work in an Oil firm and I know the intricacies of contract jobs,they are insecure and uncertain,the so called 4 years contract may not last up to that because what they would offer you is a 1 YEAR contract, renewable every year for "tentatively" 4 years. So if the job they got that made them employ you, is completed within 2 years,my dear,your job is finished.

And for those saying SHELL would open doors for her on her CV,think again,this may be a 3rd party contract arrangement, meaning,she may not be hired as a SHELL contract employee, her employment letter may carry the 3rd labor contractors name like "KASSIM AROWOSHAFE NIGERIA LIMITED".... take your time to research how employment in Oil and Gas has been bastardized in Nigeria.

So if I were you OP,I would stay put where I am,trust me,4 years would fly past very fast and you would regret leaving a secured job for a short term one.
