PoliticsRe: How The North And The FCT Voted For Obi And Kwankwaso In The 2023 - TheCable by tishbite41(m): 12:28pm On May 05
eazzzy1:
Kwankwaso has never considered Obi a peer talkless a superior. He considers the Tinubu’s and Atiku’s political equals. He was governor in 1999, minister in 2003. This was before Obi dreamt of joining politics.

Deputizing Obi is however a win-win strategy for him. He can demand the SE bloc vote in 2031. He can even ask Obi to deputize him in 2031.
The coke is way too high

You can say the same thing for Obi because Obi does not think of Nigeria outside the south east who's only reason for contesting for presidency is to achieve Igbo presidency.
Tilumbu wants to achieve Yoruba Presidency
Atiku wants to achieve Fulani Presidency
Why should Obi's case be different? grin grin grin
Abi Igbos aren't humans
Ain't they Nigerians?

PoliticsRe: Breaking: Ex Imo State Governor Ihedioha Resigns From ADC Set To Decamp To NDC by tishbite41(m): 10:25am On May 04
franchasng:
What he is trying to say is that Atiku always refuse to compromise to support a Southeast President despite all that the Southeast did in supporting him in all his contests.

In 2023, when Wike and other PDP Governors insisted the Presidential ticket should go to the South, what a strategic Atiku should have done was to say okay and have a back door meeting with Peter Obi promising to throw his support behind Obi on the agreement that Obi would hand over to him when it's Northern turn. If he had done that, even if they failed, it will be on record that he did something like that.

It's always the Southeast that have been compromising for other region's Presidential ambition, things are not done that way my brother
Thanks
God bless you
That Aminda guy is a closeted bigot
Aren't the Igbos humans that can contest elections as Nigerians
Must they be subsumed under the interests of others?
One thing is sure, Atiku has lost the 2027 elections yesterday

Atiku has contested the presidential elections three times. First time he chose Ben Obi as Vice. Second time he chose Peter Obi as Vice. Third time he chose Ifeanyi Okowa as Vice. When did Atiku become an enemy of the East? Well, we will be here when you lot will come back to declare Kwankwaso an enemy of the Southeast. Until emotions are removed from national politics, we will continue to go round in circles, arriving at the same point.
Yeah
You're confirming my assertions
He sees them as subordinates and slaves!

I hope you guys are in to actually win the election this time and not just to purportedly teach Atiku a lesson? Last time, the goal was to win Lagos, it seems the goal this time will be to make Atiku cry. Meanwhile, the North and the Southwest continue to rotate power between themselves and amass loans for projects sited in both regions that the Southeast will contribute in paying. When will the Southeast actually play politics to win? Genuine question.
We don hear
But let me tell you this for free, Atiku is one of the Fulani supremacists who don't want the Igbos to rule
He has been an enemy of the SE
The real truth is that Wike is the nemesis of Atiku, not Peter Obi

I'm certain Mr. Obi won't be on the ballot in 2027.. he is no match for those bigwigs in ADC.

The same thing Atiku did in PDP is what he will repeat in ADC. I'm even surprised the Agulu man walked right into the trap opposition set for him.

One thing about PO is that he's never afraid to make the big decisions
He's a market man for a reason
PoliticsRe: Our Legal Adviser Resigned From APM Since Last Year - NDC by tishbite41(m): 6:45am On May 04
AMINDA:
If Kwankwaso has no qualms throwing Atiku and all other senior coalition members that went to Kano to personally receive him, under the bus by leaving in just 6 weeks, is it Peter Obi he will now be loyal to? Don't forget he held series of meetings with Tinubu just before Abba defected. He was set to become Tinubu's Vice but apparently Tinubu had another other plans on how to utilise him. Obi might have just set the Southeast back politically by a few years.
You don't love the SE. You just want their votes
As an Igbo man, PO has made me proud
We won't play second fiddle no more
On the contrary, Obi has shown that the SE is a voting bloc to be reckoned with
Atiku should make himself the President and stop disturbing Obi
Amaechi and Makinde are dying to be his VP, he should pick one

Atiku is not a statesman yet he left his EXECUTIVE governor position to be Obasanjo’s spare tyre VP in 1999

Atiku is not a statesman but in 2003, he was loyal to his boss and resisted northern pressure to make Obasanjo a one term president. This was the first time Buhari asked for the job of president and was rejected.

Atiku is not a statesman but in 2007 he led other democratic heroes to defend the constitution and defeat Obasanjo’s 3rd term agenda for life president.

Atiku is not a statesman yet he offered to step down in 2023 if PDP microzoned the presidency to the south east.

Are you sure that you know what statesman means huh
We have one VP and 36 governors. So, who's more important?
The Atiku I know won't leave a big thing for a small stuff. OBJ promoted him to compensate Shehu Yar'Adua's PDM clique.

We all know how he humiliated OBJ.
It is common knowledge that OBJ knelt down to beg Atiku for a second term.

We all know what happened in PDP circa 2018 to 2023. So, your tales by moonlight doesn't make sense.

I don't want to talk about what he did to Goodluck Jonathan

Even the third term agenda war wasn't out of a pure heart. He wanted to be President then.

I think you're the selfish one here. Atiku did not stop anyone from aspiring to be president. Obi wants everyone to step down for him. Same thing you want govt to give you everything, that's why you are where you are because you can't compete with others
Obi asked for direct primaries knowing for a fact that El-Rufai and Kwankwaso are backing him

PoliticsRe: Now I Know Tinubu's Policies Aren't The Problem - Farooq Kperogi by tishbite41(m): 11:16am On May 03
AMINDA:
What is the incentive for the North, that's currently VP, to support Obi to remove another Southerner from power that has already done four years? If Tinubu is doing a fantastic job as a Southerner, then he deserves a second term. Let him continue. The Southeast should actually be more desperate to get Tinubu out of power. In 2015, Tinubu had to travel from Lagos to Daura to convince Buhari out of retirement to come get his fellow Southerner out of power. Even then, he didn't ask for the ticket. He was willing to deputise Buhari. That's how he moved from opposition to incumbent. Clinical, strategic, long-term vision. When he said "Emi Lokan" in 2023, the North understood and returned the favour. Northerners always pay their debts, but nothing goes for nothing. Any region playing politics with emotions is already set to lose. Nigeria was a nation of diverse regions amalgamated into one. The only question that matters when you play national politics is "What's in it for my region?" And leverage is the only currency that players transact in. Not pity, not emotions, not insults and certainly not threats. Only leverage.
You're fast becoming a nuisance
Atiku can contest without Obi

PoliticsRe: Registration Of NDC Raises Concerns As ADA Seeks Legal Action Against INEC by tishbite41(m): 9:03pm On May 02
LegendHero:
Guy that man speaking has nothing to do with Tinubu.

Indirectly, he is postulating that INEC purposely allow NDC to go through despite the process not being straightforward and his own ADA never scale through. That simply allege that NDC is kinda Tinubu asset to ensure opposition split.

Obi and Kwakanso separating from Atiku is the best thing to happen to Tinubu re-election. Except Tinubu is a political illiterate, he won’t even attempt to scuttle that chance of them moving.
Don't be too that confident
Obi and Kwankwaso have a good chance in a three-horse race
PoliticsRe: Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso Are Tinubu’s Most Reliable Campaigners- Farooq Kperogi by tishbite41(m): 10:58am On May 02
Tinubu was able to achieve all he did because he had a core loyal Lagos base
This foundation is what Obiano and Umeh denied Obi
Same happened to Orji Uzor Kalu in Abia with Theodore Orji
I should blame difference in culture for the inability for Eastern politicians to replicate the Tinubu model in the East
Obi tried his best. Believe me you.

As for the LP debacle, I don't blame Obi
My only grouse with him is his movement to the ADC
There was no sense in doing that
GloriousGbola:
Tinubu had the same problem with his deputies and with his successors. While he had a much larger vision and goals their vision began and ended in Lagos. But he was still able to push his agenda through.

As to defections and betrayals, after acn got ondo for mimiko, mimiko promptly backstabbed tinubu. Osun has been a battle ground state requiring compromise and alliances.

It is not going to be easy. The fact is we can see how Obi has handled strife in LP, and now in ADC.
PoliticsRe: Atiku, Obi, Kwankwaso Are Tinubu’s Most Reliable Campaigners- Farooq Kperogi by tishbite41(m): 10:24am On May 02
Your last paragraph was the plan but Willie Obiano and Victor Umeh had other ideas then

Don't forget that PO delivered Imo State for APGA using Rochas Okorocha as gubernatorial candidate

Rochas defected unceremoniously with that mandate
GloriousGbola:
Bola Ahmed Tinubu built what became APC over a period of 9 years from 2006 to 2015. from the ashes of AD after OBJ ran roughshod over everyone else and made PDP the only game in town

he started from lagos and then expanded to a regional party and when the time was right made strategic alliances. he also built a network of support over those 10 years across nigeria - and that network came through for him in the 2023 election. it was not a smooth growth and ACN/AC/APC also suffered losses and setbacks.

all these opposition politicians are trying to shoehorn a decades work into a year. atiku disappears to dubai for two and half years after every election.

i always say Peter obi could have followed the exact template created by Tinubu and grown APGA into an actual regional party controlling the SE as a single voting bloc and having actual negotiating power - but he opted for the easy way of aligning with an almighty PDP.
