No, it’s still not lawful but why are you now suddenly realizing that it’s unlawful now that it’s the US that is doing the blockading?🤣
When Iran was doing it, it was all good but it instantly becomes piracy now that the US is the one doing the illegality.
Na crase Dey worry all of una seh.
Wasn’t this what I’ve been schooling you about since yesterday? Why are you suddenly becoming teachable and reasonable now that it’s the US that’s doing the blockading?
Bro said Iran was regulating the traffic🤣 You are right my friend, they were regulating the traffic by planting mines in the waters.
Now that Iran has woken up from its deep sleep and now saying exactly what I’ve been schooling you about since yesterday, what else do you have to say? Are you burying your head in shame now?
Iran themselves have suddenly realized that there are international conventions that forbid creating impediments to traffics on international waterways. Amazing 🤣
I’m more than proud now that you are learning. We are getting there. Again, nobody owns a naturally occurring shipping waterway according to existing international laws and conventions and its blockading and/or tolling is considered illegal and an act of terrorism.
You and Iran are now agreeing to my argument (the one you’ve been rubbishing since yesterday) now that it’s the US that is outplaying Iran in its own game🤣
The fact that you don't understand that I am calling out your hypocrisy and double standards says a lot about you
As per the current situation, the Iranians are firmly in the driver's seat
I hope you heard the warning from the Chinese Chief of Defense

Kid, this is why I said you need to up your knowledge on international politics or better still, go straight to the romance section, that's where your brainpower is most needed.
Yes, Turkey is charging on the Bosphorus not for traffics but because it's the one taking care of its security, emergency services, lighthouses and sanitation. Once una get data like this, una go come online to dey yarn nonsense. I was still correcting another ignorant kid about this very topic yesterday. In fact, Turkey is doing all this at a big loss and this is the reason why it's now building its own artificial waterway called the Istanbul Canal where it's going to be free to toll freely for profits. You can only toll a waterway that you build artificial and Iran is not the only country with a naturally occurring waterway, countries like the US, Russia, Gilbratar, Spain, Morocco, south Africa, Singapore, Turkey, Malaysia and Indonesia also have natural waterways and none is tolling them. Again, the international waterways belongs to no one and if we are to go by your silly warped logic, then the malacca that accounts for over 40% of world's supply and shippings should be tolled by Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia 😂😂 Make una dey use una head na abeg🙏
This is the reason why Singapore said just a couple of days ago that it's not going to pay Iran. This is not the romance section my bro.

U are wrong

Suez and Panama canals are man-made (artificial) waterways, whereas the Strait of Hormuz is a natural strait.

Under international maritime law (UNCLOS), the rules for these two types of passages are entirely different:
Quote the rules here
I'm waiting
Don't forget that the Turks also toll the Bosphorus Strait
Is that man-made too?

Iran doesn't own the Hormuz and by the virtue of the international rules and conventions, the Hormuz waterways is not an Iranian territory just the same way the US/Russia can't lay claims to the Bering strait. It's also for this same reason that Singapore and Turkey can not claim to own the malacca and Bosphorus straits respectively.
How choatic do you think it would be if countries like Gilbratar, Spain, Morocco, SA, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Russia and the US all start blockading all the natural waterways that pass through their countries saying they are doing so because they own them? How much do you think you would be paying for energy if all these countries go the Iranian way and start charging tolls? Make una dey use una head o, please.
You simply can't toll a waterway you didn't build. It's that simple. Please go up your knowledge on international politics before disgracing yourself online.
Stop peddling lies
The Turks toll the Bosphorus Strait
Under international law, the Strait of Hormuz belongs to Iran and Oman
It is not an international waterway

Whether the waterway is natural or artificial, I don't see the importance of that factor in this equation

Panama and Suez canal are different from the Hormuz strait. Those two are not natural waterways, they were created by their respective countries to ease waterway navigations, therefore, the respective countries have a right to charge on them. Strait of Hormuz doesn't belong to Iran, it is a natural waterway. Stop confusing people with your anti America ideological leanings.
Maybe the Strait of Hormuz belongs to the US, Caucasian imperialist
For your information, the Strait of Hormuz is not an international waterway
It belongs to Iran and Oman

Foreign AffairsRe: Talks Are Over, Strait Of Hormuz Is Closed Iran Says by tishbite41(m): 4:33am On Apr 13
Gotocourt:
The legal status of tolling in the Strait of Hormuz is complex and involves several international legal frameworks:
Under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), coastal states cannot demand payment for passage through straits, including the Strait of Hormuz, simply for permission to transit.

Iran has proposed legislation to impose tolls on vessels passing through the strait, which would require ships to obtain permits and licenses, effectively creating a controlled transit system.

The proposed tolls could be as high as $2 million per ship, with revenue intended for rebuilding Iran following recent military actions.

However, the legality of such tolls is still under scrutiny, as UNCLOS explicitly prohibits charging fees for passage unless specific services are provided.

This situation raises significant questions about the legality and implications of tolling in a vital global shipping route.
