UPDATE: GBAGYI VILLA VRS EL-RUFAI: COURT HEARING ON GBAGYI VILLA DEMOLITION PLAN UNAVAILABILITY OF FUEL AND EPILEPTIC POWER MADE GOVERNOR EL-RUFAI LOST FIRST CASE AGAINST GBAGYI VILLA Gbagyi Villa case against governor El-Rufai on his planned demolition of the entire Christian community is going in favour of Gbagyi Villa community. Before today, Gbagyi Villa community secured a motion ex-parte restraining the governor or his agents from carrying out any demolition. Hence, the substantive interlocutory injunction restraint is due for hearing today. So the lawyer to the governor was to file a motion opposing Gbagyi Villa motion for interlocutory injunction today. However, there was drama in court as the lawyer to the governor, who was the one that applied for an adjournment the first day of the case to enable him file to oppose the motion before today; failed to file any motion opposing the interlocutory injunction. He blamed his inability on "logistics" which he said is the prevailing problems in the country. Precisely he mentioned fuel scarcity and epileptic power supply as those problems. In the light of the above, the judge ruled in favour of Gbagyi Villa. Hence, the interlocutory injunction restraining the governor and his agents pending the full determination of the case on notice is hereby granted. Case adjourned til Monday April 25th for the hearing of the case. NOTE The first restriction granted Gbagyi Villa before today was a motion ex-parte restraining the governor and his agents from carrying out any demolition in Gbagyi Villa pending the hearing of the motion for interlocutory injunction. That means the first motion ex-parte supposed to expire today (as the interlocutory injunction is heard). The interlocutory injunction would last as far as the case is on (that means until the case is completed and final judgement is given) This interlocutory injunction is the subject of the hearing today, which the governor's lawyer could not even defend. Thus, Gbagyi Villa community won this first case. ------------------------------------------------------ Reporting live and direct from Kaduna State High Court. 30 minutes to the commencement of court sitting, the court room is already filled to the brim and the entire parking space outside the court is also packed full of people who are interested in the case between Gbagyi Villa people and governor Nasiru El-Rufai on his planned demolition of the entire Christian community. Massive crowd at the court premises. |
#Inspiring!! There is always Equilibrium in Nature. A deaf man has extra senses to compliment his deafness. It's just like the La chateliar's Principle in Chemistry- Equilibrium will annul the change in hearing. He's also got side mirror's which sight will focus more on, since hearing is impaired. People with hearing, sights.. most often even default with side mirrors. Shouldn't he be encouraged than resulting to begging as witnessed in Nigeria? This should inspire hearing people, talk more of other Deaf fellows. #GodBlessHisHustle |
