Dear op, I know the arguments on Sola Scriptural quite well and more than substantial teachings of the Catholic Church for those who profess Sola Scriptural. I will only make one reference from your post and if am chanced to come on some other day, I will post other answers.

The Catholics pray to Mary and according to you, it is unbiblical. Below is the prayer as it is said.
'Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you amongst women and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death Amen'

Now, open your bible to gospel of St Luke 1:28. That's the first part of the above prayer. Read further down from verses 29ff.
Again, Lk 1:41-43. is the second part of the prayer.
The third part of the prayer is the affirmation of the church on what the angel, Elizabeth and Mary proclaimed. Refer to Lk 1:48 and also Jn 2:1-5.

The only group I feel for are my fellow Catholics whom when asked where is it in the Scripture? They began to look left, right, front and back.
On a final note dear friend, the Catholic Church believes in the sacred Scripture and sacred Tradition.

St John in his vision in the book of Revelation spoke of these church's triumphants. There are the church's sufferings and the militants as elucidated by Salc. Christ also spoke of severe and light punishment for two types of servants in St. Lk.12:47-48. Again, in 1 Jn.5:16-17, we were told that sin is sin. However, some sin does not lead to DEATH and we should pray for such. Which death is being talked of here? The person who was opportuned to obtain mercy for such sin that does not lead to death before giving up this physical body, where does he/she goes?

Even the African culture believes and affirms that the ancestors are still alive and watch over the family and are called to support them in their activities.

By faith, we believe the teachings of the Catholic Church on these church's sufferings that we remember today. For those who do not understand this teaching or do not agree with it, you must not know everything but allow us to be. The scripture has warn us before hand what your actions will be.

Matt 11:11 (NKJV)

“Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.”

I can't quite rap my head around the above verse.

In the first irst part of this verse, remember it was John who identified Christ and showed him to the people. He was the forerunner of Christ, the mission God prepared John for. Then if John was he who showed us publicly the Christ, without whom we would not have recognised Jesus Christ, that mission of John is the great assignment that makes him the greatest born of woman.

In the second part, Christ is comparing the glory of heaven to earth. Because John is still on earth though the greatest but the least in the glory and splendour of heaven is far much greater than the greatest on earth.

Dear op, the bill did not pass second reading but first. However, I see the bill terminating when it comes for second reading. The discordant tones during the debate shows that this issue needs more of executive action, hence they pushed it to second reading for more view and advice on the way forward.
My advice to anyone who feels that respite may come soon to end the dichotomy is to forget about it. If you're an HND holder and in the public service, you better go and regularize to BSc before you stagnate in one grade level. For those in the OND/HND programs, civil service will deny you your full potential if the status quo is not abolished.
