Japsylee:
Good day all,
Please can anyone help me share any recent experience by any pregnant lady in the house using JFK airport ?
Please kindly help a brother out
Hi, I came in through JFK on the 8th of May. Was asked what I’m here to do. Told them holiday and have my baby. Asked how much I had with me, told him approximately 9k and he said I’m only taking you in cos you have a lot of cash and then taken in for secondary inspection. Immediately was told to come sit (within seconds)... asked where I was going.. said Maryland. Asked how much I had. Told them (he didn’t ask to see it) .. asked if I had an appointment with any hospital.. gave Henricos appointment letter.. asked for it.. read it briefly... asked how much the cost of delivery is.. told him.. He stamped me in for 6months and wished me a safe delivery. All was within 5mins. Truth be told I was nervous and not a bit confident, so God grace prevailed as usual..All Glory to God alone!!

Congratulations!!! So happy you got it.. Read your story from the beginning and I was going to say you have a sure chance of getting it till I read you had actually gotten it already...I personally traveled abroad just for shopping at 5months though had no complications & returned.. so I can just imagine if I had. It wasn’t my intention to have a baby there so that really does happen.

Congratulations once again.. Man isn’t God!

Hello everyone, thanks for the contribution. I thought I should share the outcome -

VO: How long did you stay the last time?
Me: 176 Days
VO: Why?
Me: I started bleeding right after I got to the US. I had my baby taken out prematurely to save my life. The doctor said I could not fly back to Nigeria and a written note was given to me to that effect.
VO: Can I see that?
I handed over the report
VO: How did you pay your bills?
Me: I sourced for a private insurance following the incident and it got approved. I bought the Platinum Plan, which costs about $500 per month.
VO: Did you pay the insurance premiums out of pocket?
Me: Yes I did
VO: Can I see the premium receipts and itemized bill?
I handed that as well.
VO: Has anyone filed for you?
Me: Yes
VO: Who did?
Me: My Sister
VO: Do you intend to have a baby this time?
Me: No I don’t
That was how he handed a white paper to me and told me to pick up my passport in 3 working days o.

Isn’t God just wonderful?
That was how I packed my burden of proof back.
Apparently, if you have a guarantor in the US, a Private insurance can be approved.
To everyone who contributed, thank you and I wish you good luck in your endeavor.

Please where and how did you download this? Please can you kindly share?
I was told to create an online profile from the hospital back then. Did you do anything like that? If yes, go back to the portal, login with your user name and password(if lost, use the forgot password option). All your info, test results, medical records & bills are automatically updated. You can print from there.

Hi All,

I’m an Oldie, but Just came across this recently after reading thread 6 extensively and thought to share my own experience... Long Post though!!!!

Applied for Birth Visa with my hubby and son May 2014. Used Elpaso letter of recommendation for Visa interview(Original plan). Was scrutinized with severally questions by the VO who refused all that had gone before us that day.(transcript was sent 2014, under a different username)

We were granted the Visa(All glory to God!!!).. Travelled alone in August 2014 (@35 wks) with Emirates (I was upgraded to business class without any extra payments- Gods Grace!!) through Dallas as POE.

My POE was a breeze (To the Glory of God!!!) was only asked 1)- why I was here? I said to birth my 2nd child. 2)- How much I had? I answered 7k dollars (cash) 3)- my final destination? I answered Phoenix Arizona(I was scared at this point) ...I was let through. No secondary inspection( I was running off to get get my bags and get out of the airport cos I felt I might be called back. But luckily.. I wasn’t!! (All glory to God)

Registered at MIHS early..Had a wonderful experience with them.. applied for al necessary documents and left the in exactly 4 weeks after birth. I don’t take al this for granted cos I was fully aware it was Gods grace.

I used my visa twice after that.. applied for Visit Visa(drop box) with my family in 2016. My DH & Son(1st child) were given as I was invited for a follow up interview. I appeared and was only asked one question. Where will you be traveling to? I answered New York on a family holiday. I was told to collect my visa in 3 days which I did. Travelled with visa severally. Visa expired July 2018.. Applied again for a Visit Visa (drop box) with my Family, but we were given the 221G interview letter. we didn’t get an available interview date till October 2018. We appeared were asked for our itemized bills. I gave the VO my MIHS contract where it states if I pay the specified now I would pay $2,888 with refund afterwards for vaginal delivery. Also took proof to show I had a singleton birth. Showed him a discharge proof. A print out of my hospital medical chart (Hopsital sets up a personal E-mail account for all patients) it showed I had paid my bills. Wasn’t owing. And was refunded $250 dollars because I wasn’t owing the hospital. The VO then asked why we were traveling this time and we told him we had initially planned to travel for summer vacation with the kids but were scheduled for an interview which we didn’t get a date till after school had resumed. We told him at the moment we Hadn’t planned & wasn’t sure when our next trip would be..,He said ok. And told us we would be contacted on when our visa would be ready. Thankfully!! Visa came out in 3 days.

Just thought to share with you, amidst all the different specifications on the thread(read it all extensively) I don’t want anyone to throw insults or doubts. Mine might have been a story of GodsGrace only. Who knows? But I really hope it encourages someone, To keep the faith!
