PoliticsRe: Ribadu Wanted For "Treason"! by tjay007: 7:15am On Aug 09, 2008
@kliffo
well said my brother.
shebi he's wanted now abi? he should show up and defend himself. peharps with all this fracas he would make statements and name names that would raise eye brows. As for me oooo, i neve saw ribadu as a clean fellow like most of us hear claim he is. like the yoruba proverb says " bi iro ba lo ogun odun otito a ba lojo kan" that is to say "if  lie has been on for years one day the truth shall catch up with it".

ehen! when Okonjo was minister for finance we all saw how she made frantic efforts to redeem naija's financial sector doing all that was necessary to see the sector develop from it's paralysed state. from the debt pardon, implementation of over 60% of naija's budget which prior to her time as minister was never attained. At a point in time the funds from excess crude oil she had planned to use for the betterness of this country but becos obj had other motives for the funds which Okonjo knew about and prevented the motive from being actualized, she was moved from the fianance ministry to another where she could do nothing and coz she knew it was not right, she resigned honourably earning the respect of everyone including that of her employers(world bank) who promoted her. That's the spirit of deligence, discipline, honour and a stand against corruption. She refused to be used or be part of a corrupt act.
  when obj was using ribadu why didnt he voice out? perhaps his then boss had told him not to worry that even after he leaves office he was going to handover to his boy(yaradua). that would have been the time he would be recognised as the true hero fighting corruption in it's totality. but now everything has backfired and he shud face the music, people sit back. relax and watch as more drama unfold in the government of our beloved country, God bless nigeria

as a matter of fact if ribadu no take time, he cud be dismissed sef. the most corrupt culprit from 1999 till he was even relieved from the post of the efcc chairman is somewhere enjoying the fruit of his fraudlent acts. abi no be this country wey we dey when obj shout about power project? abeg tell me where all the money for the project enter. PTF nko? wetin be d outcome. yet no question was asked by the so called noble man who swore to fight corruption and uphold the law. abi which of the governors or people he arrested commited a more corrupt act than his boss the ape did?,  abeg, he should go sit his sorry ass somewhere, covers his face and lick his wounds, trying to justify himself will only compound his problems.

hey people! good day to you all. I heard this news just this morning and it didnt come to me as a suprise at all coz i had always seen it coming. firstly, during obj's regime at the point when ribadu was appointed chairman of the efcc, he did a good job clamping down on corrupt officials and citizens. he started sketching the plan of his downfall when he allowed obj use him and the efcc as a weapon to deal with all his political opponents and those not loyal to him. if we do recall before and during the elections, some aspirants were @ one time or the other arrested by the efcc. I do agree that some the people arrested are corrupt but then the question is, what do we say of mr obj who was directing him at the time? innocent? now after obj handed over governance to yara dua many issues were raised as to mismanagements and stuff like that, why didnt ribadu at least invite obj for questioning? another question is, was ribadu doing all the arresting and probing based on his oath to fight corruption or on obj's instruction. many things happened during obj's regime to which ribadu should have intervened but he waved it as if it was nothing because they were perpetuated by obj's loyalist e.g the crisis @ oyo with dat late old man & the one @ anambra with chris uba & ngige to mention a few. If you watch closely you'd see that most of those people who were been arrested at the time were those who were not on obj's side.
 i bet he saw how obj waved his invitation on an important issue during a hearing with the wave of the hand. nemesis is going to catch up with obj but like other fallen strong men like sadaam his aides & alies will fall first. keep ur fingers crossed as we havent seen nothin yet.
Music/RadioRe: D'banj Or 9ice? Why? by tjay007: 7:24pm On Jul 24, 2008
hmmmm, first, let me say dis "2 everybody there's a distinct character, photocopy no easy at all". Both of 'em i hail for their great talents and prowes e no eazy @ all. D'banj is an artiste with a lot of energy and when it comes to entertainment mostly stage perfomance he's in a league of his own. 9ice is anoda gr8 naija artiste that has got a wonderful talent. ever since i heard him on 2shortz "make dem talk", i knew he was going places. These guys play different style of music. While D'banj is more of the shake ur body kind of artiste and is mostly concerned with songs dat makes d listeners want to dance as soon as dey hear it, 9ice is a gr8 lyricist with his yoruba literature and proverbs, d listners are left wantin 2 figure out what he's talkin about. also he can rock u on d dance floor when it matters. it's good seeing these nu naija artistes ( 9ice, D'banj, Ikechukwu, Naeto, Asa, Wande, Mode 9, Eldee & d host of odaz) takin d industry 2 anoda level. won gbona feli feli & i believe 'em die,

9ice thread christino!

Music/RadioRe: Who Are We Fooling? Nigerian Music by tjay007: 5:58pm On Jul 24, 2008
i quite agree with u dat our artiste shud impose our culture in their songs and videos but 1 thing i wud say i dnt quite agree with is d fact dat Ghanians produce beta musik dan we do. Yes, they used 2 but not any more ijero. 4-6yrs back foriegn musik dominated our radios as if we had no musik of our own but now if u listen 2 d radio very well there's a balance although it myt not b even as it shud, i believe in time it will,  9c thread,
