lolz... i understand the mood on this thread. truly, it's alien to us in this cline but it's the culture and a normality among the "AGANYI" clan. the aganyi are dispersed across west africa particularly between Togo and Ghana with small settlements in Nigeria and Benin republic along the beach-line.
Politics / Re: Osinbajo: Nigerian Jollof Rice Is The Best, Better Than Senegal & Ghana (Video) by tjay007: 10:33pm On May 01, 2017
it's quite obvious nigerians are livid and would lash out at almost anything they don't reckon would ease us out of the mess we sank ourselves into. but then this clip is just 1min 53secs long. his speech couldn't have been so short and all about "jollof rice, whistle & sen. dino (the musician)". he probably addressed some (if not all) of issues raised here that he should talk about rather than what we see in the video. make we chill small, abeg.... God bless Nigeria.

Religion / Re: It Is A Sin For Ladies To Put On Trousers To Church by tjay007: 10:46am On Mar 26, 2017
I've heard this argument too many times. like some people hear have said, before saying a woman is putting on a masculine wea r or male putting on female attire; it is important to first to first define what a male or female wear is. i don't think there is anybody who can't distinguish a female trouser from a male trouser and sane goes for shirt too. In scotland, skirt is part of the traditional attire for male. there nobody sees the skirt as female attire. so also is the wrapper in the southern region of Nigeria. As most of us know, it is part of the male traditional regalia in the south-south and south- east but not most of us know some traditional chiefs and royalty in the south-west also adorn wrapper and even a big skirt as part of their regalia albeit seldomly.
this also reminds me of male and adorning earrings. men have been wearing earrings since medieval times even the bible attests to it in exodus 32 where Aaron asked that gold earrings from wives, sons and daughters be put together to forge the golden calf. i implore us all rather than just take oral testimonies of people, do our research very well and read voraciously. your understanding of a write-up journal might just differ from someone else's. have an inspiring sunday. God bless you all.

Politics / Re: Collapse 36 States To 6 Zones, Ekweremadu Tells FG by tjay007: 8:46am On Apr 26, 2016
truth be told, with the current arrangement, true federalism with each of the 36 states having control of their resources and a progressive tax regime for them to remit to the federal government at the centre looks good. this coupled with untainted transparency, accountability, autonomy and judicial reforms(proper justice system) from top(FG) to bottom(LG), will see the country's development rapid amidst healthy competition among states; which will bring about a high level of creativity and wealth.

cry cry cry cry My brother me too! I couldn't hold back my tears when I heard the news this morning. That man did me a good turn few years back when he was 2IC in SFU ikoyi. A private company I worked meritoriously for and quit to do my own business didn't find it pleasant because they felt threatened by the success somebody like would record working for myself came after me 7monts later with all manners of spurious allegations just to break my spirit, it was this man that stood up in my defence and my former company even offered to settle the matter out of court because all odds were against them!

This man never asked me for kobo, I never offered him kobo. Death is an inevitable end! My only regret now is that I never got the opportunity to appreciate him for what he did for me cos I wanted to surprise him with something very Big that would shock him. And to think that just 2weeks ago, his matter was burning seriously in my thoughts! Now he is gone!

RIP Oga Ekpo! You will be sorely missed!
he has a wife and very young kids; please, whatever you can do to appreciate him should be directed to his family. ACP EKPO was rare gem in the police force. if only we had more of his kind in the force, the nigerian police would be a different story. i knew him personally. REST IN PEACE ACP E.A. OSUNG EKPO

everytime i come on Nigerian forums all i see/read is HATE & ETHNORELIGIOUS BIGOTRY. that it comes from our so called youths is even more mind buggling. many of us have abandoned inept reasoning and chosen to channel our energy and creativity to HATE SPEECHES. i tell you what; we are growing into the very evil we fear just as some world/regional cabals predicted. analyse, criticise if you will but do so contructively and resist the temptation of using derogatory languages against one another. i see & appreciate when nigerians defend nigeria against derogatory statements aimed at us by foreigners. lets channel such unity to building this country. i know we can... GOD BLESS NIGERIA...

nigerian youths never stop to amaze me. i've got some advice for you guys though. it's great to argue about national issues in public spaces available online, media even town hall gatherings. As a matter of fact, it is the fuel that keeps the flame of democracy burning. however, let's learn to be more civil, unsentimental and astutely analytical in our arguments. let's show the "elders" that we're mature enough to pilot the affairs of this country and they should take more of an advisory and mentoring role in the country. we can always disagree to agree; in the end, we all want a better country. God bless nigeria...
Politics / Re: Governors Reject Autonomy For Local Government Councils by tjay007: 12:49pm On Oct 24, 2014
those of us who believe that local government autonomy is bad for the masses might have a point but, shouldn't the shear fact that both factions of the NGF and, the supposed rival parties, APC and PDP governors are all united against this, speak volumes? in case you don't know, for the governors; LG autonomy means less funds, less power and basically much less influence. in my opinion demanding proper governance from your LG chairman than from the governor. having said that, it beholds on us the citizenry to demand accountability, transparency and proper governance from all tiers of government by all means necessary.
Car Talk / Re: Innoson To Roll Out N1.5m Cars by tjay007: 6:20am On Jul 23, 2014
if indeed this govt. is serious about supporting nigerian brands, innoson motors is the best way to make a statement. by now i expect the federal govt, all nigerian ambassadors(embassies) abroad & the state govt of where this plant is located; to replace all their vehicles with innoson products since it's the only indigenous manufacturer for now. that in my opinion, is the best way to promote this brand.

Politics / Re: Do You Approve Of Lamido Sanusi's Actions? by tjay007: 10:25am On Aug 29, 2009
the current rift going on in our financial sector shouldn't be much of a surprise for those of us who have been steadfast with its affairs. first, it started with re-conslidation of banks by the just past cbn governor; prof soludo. that exercise if i'm not wrong didn't favour majority in the nothern axis especially. it was the basic reason why soludo was denied another term hence, an underground propaganda to install someone who will play their script in helping them recovering some of the banks the main target being the high ranked ones. Even vanguard raised an alarm as early as march but no one seem to raise an eyebrow about the issue then.
so i learnt that one of sanusi agenda, is to change ownerships of some banks over the pretence of wroth in the system whereas he'll be carrying out the plan of the said anti-consolidation group. people like sanusi, the new governor of cbn just like many of our leaders past & present have a way of starting a battle making it seem just when actual it's personal ( or for a group of personnels). already its begining to show that this doesnt seem a just battle as sanusi makes it look like. first he doesnt audit all 24banks but 10 of them ( in which i strongly believe its all a formalty as he most likely knew where he was heading), he denies the affected md's a chance of fair-hearing even after it was clearly stated by various experts & analyst that, this is the due process (supported by a government that preaches "due process"wink, then threating them with the efcc. also, how come the banks are schedule to be put for sale soon ( fishy if you ask me. waitin to see the eventual owners @ the end, if they suceed that is).
If i may ask, how many of our banks are free of the accusations laid before these 5banks? i have come to know that a business proposals most notably from seasoned personnels & companies could be laid before banks either to acquire loans or go into partnerships with the bank. how come that of this banks are any different? its not as if the whereabout of the money is unknown. moreover, these people are international figures who have attained success home and abroad they dont deserve their name to be draged in the mud. mind you the international community are watching making it a little much difficult to attain financial security for the country. already, sanusi said he pumped 420billion into the sector only for a massive loss of about 400billion in stock.
why didnt the governor invite the affected md's for clarification instead of sacking them. which even the md's heard over the media not in person. this tells that sanusi is being unfair by all standard (even a man caught in the act of murder red-handed, is given a chance to defend himself in court how muchless this).
this is not to say that the banks themselves dont have their faults but thats a matter for another day. as for the matter @ hand, sanusi is not justified in anyway of his actions so, i don't approve of his actions. thanks
