ComputersRe: Understanding Resolution Display And Image Quality by tkb01: 9:20pm On Jul 31, 2025
Rictus1:
Resolution display is the number of pixels (pixels are small colorful squares or dots that make up the images we see on a screen) that can be displayed on a screen.
It is expressed in two numbers: width × height eg 2400 x 1080.
When a device is said to have high resolution it simply means there are more pixels on the screen which leads to a sharper and clearer image and vice versa.
This is one major difference between the realme C75x and C75.
C75 has a higher display of 2400 x 1080 while the C75X is 1640 x 720 pixels.
Hence the image quality of the realme C75 would be sharper with finer lines and smooth graphics.
I find this really educative and enlightening! Thank you for sharing 👌🏽

Rictus1:
Someone asked if it is possible to take clear pictures with the realme C75x in a dark or poorly lighted room.
With the night mode feature it is and I will explain how to use it
This mode is designed to significantly improve photos taken in low light conditions;
1. Open your camera app
2. Look for "night mode" or a moon shaped icon
3. Switched to night mode
Note: ensure to keep your hands steady (preferably use a tripod) to get the best results and prevent blurry pictures.

Hope this helps!
This is really helpful! Thanks for sharing this information

Hmm I don't use to bother much before about the IP rating in devices but with the recent videos I've been seeing with the realme devices, I think I will start putting a lot of interest into it
The realme brand really opened my eyes to alot of things that devices offers!

Solid comparison! It’s good to see realme giving us options without breaking the bank.
Yeah that's one major break we've got!
PhonesRe: Phone Gift Update + Help Me Pick A Budget Laptop (under ₦300k) by tkb01: 8:37pm On Jul 31, 2025
StellaGirlie:
Hey everyone,

Just wanted to drop a quick update based on the last thread I created about finding a good budget phone gift for my special someone.

After going back and forth, doing some digging, and asking around, I finally settled for the realme C75X. I honestly just wanted to try something new. The brand seems to be quietly rising, and the specs looked promising for the price. It feels like one of those “let’s just see how it goes” moments 😅. I’ll definitely be sharing updates or reviews on how it performs once my friend who uses it gives me the full rundown.

Also, a big thank you to everyone who dropped laptop suggestions, super helpful!

For the laptop, I ended up going with the HP 250 G8. It struck a nice balance between performance and price. I was also considering Dell or Lenovo, but HP just seemed easier to find and fits the main things I needed (lightweight, good battery, and can handle basic work stuff smoothly).

Feel free to keep the suggestions coming especially if you’ve used any of the devices I mentioned. And I’ll be sure to come back here with updates in case anyone’s in the same situation and needs real-life feedback before buying.

Thanks again 🙏🏽
Your choices are spot on for gifts! I applaud you for going with the Realme C75x! I agree with you when you say the brand feels promising and I'm stoked to see what it offers!

I don’t know why I keep calling it pop 40 but it’s actually spark 40 and it’s more expensive than realme. When we compare the durability we can speak on the Armoshell protection
So many less quality phone are gonna have a run for their money with the emergence of the realme brand in the Nigerian market!

It's surprising but we're here for it all!

realme's IP69 rating is a bold move, but will it be enough to sway consumers from established brands like Tecno and Infinix? Only time will tell.
Well we're in for one lovely market sway with price wars and all... It's all go be fun!

I'm counting on realme to bring on tougher devices

The Nigerian smartphone market is highly competitive, with Transsion dominating the budget segment. However, Xiaomi and realme are giving them a run for their money with innovative features and competitive pricing.
The price war would be so interesting to watch! 😂

Realme offers a good number of specs for the budget price while focusing on durability and reliability, so yeah this is gonna be great!

It's interesting to see how realme is carving out a niche in the Nigerian market with its focus on performance and software updates. Will this strategy pay off in the long run?
I hope to see them try! It's encouraging to see a wider range of budget class options!
PhonesRe: Update: A Week With The Realme Phone: Some Things I’ve Noticed. by tkb01: 8:09pm On Jul 31, 2025
Astraeus:
After using it daily for the past week, a few patterns are starting to show. The battery does hold up well, even with moderate social media use, streaming, and occasional gaming, I’m still ending most days with 20–30% left. Charging speed is quick too, though I’ve been mindful not to overuse it while plugged in.

The display is bright enough for outdoor use, but I’ve noticed the auto-brightness can be a bit inconsistent at times. But thats very negligible. Performance-wise, it handles multitasking reasonably well. A couple of frame drops here and there, but nothing major unless too many apps are running in the background and even then it's just because I am seeking perfection.

One thing I’ve had to adjust to is the software skin. It’s packed with features, which can be useful, but also takes some digging to customize things the way I like. I’ve uninstalled or disabled most of the preloaded apps, the phone feels lighter without them.

Still no major complaints. Will see how it ages with more demanding use over time.
This is really insightful! Thank you for sharing your hands-on experience.

For me, I think the realme really worked to upgrade the performance of C75x as opposed to the earlier released C75...
I think there comes an advantage with the 120hz refresh rate as opposed to the 90hz refresh rate of the C75, plus newer feel and a cheaper price

specs on paper is important. But long-term performance is also needed cause that tells if I got my money's Worth. realme's IP ratings alone gives me the confidence that I would.
I'm hoping to see realme succeed over the years with reliability sustained through updates and all, but for the now they're quite a force to reckon with...

Honestly good phones in that price range are not much again because of the economic situation of the country.
Except you want to go for already used phones(which is not a safe option cause you're not sure how the previous owners used it)
From the responses a lot of people recommend realme and you should consider it.
The brand has been doing well
I tend to agree with your suggestion... The brand has been outgoing with their release these last few months and I reckon they'd be a major player in the market sooner than we anticipated coz the devices are no jokes...

but I came an ad that said it was tested for 30 days underwater.
If any phone can pass an intense test don't you think it would be safe for diving and underwater Tiktoks?
I wouldn't count much about deep dives, to the best of my knowledge most devices doesn't do well with the pressure of anything below 30m, so yeah it would pull off stunts in shallow water but anything more than that is in doubt.
