Gbam! For everything at the price point, the Realme brands offer even more than it's competitors in the budget class.
PhonesRe: Budget Phones Have Leveled Up — My Experience With The realme C75x by tkb01: 5:25pm On Jul 31, 2025
Desewa08:
A few years ago, if you were buying a “budget phone”, you knew what to expect:
‎– Weak cameras
‎– Laggy performance
‎– Battery that couldn’t last a day
‎– Maybe even heating issues

‎So when I saw the realme C75x getting hype for under ₦180K, I didn’t expect much. I just wanted something I could use daily without worrying if it would survive life in Nigeria but this phone honestly surprised Mlme. After 3 weeks of use, I’m genuinely impressed:

‎• Display – 6.67" HD+ with 120Hz refresh rate. I thought 120Hz was overhyped until I tried it... scrolling feels buttery smooth.

‎• Performance – Helio G81 Ultra chipset, 8GB RAM. Multitasking is super fluid. No stutters, even switching between heavy apps.
‎• Battery – 5600mAh lasts me 1.5 to 2 days easily. I watch YouTube, scroll socials, even play light games. No stress.

‎• Charging – 45W Fast Charge. About 90 minutes from 0 to 100%. You blink and it’s charged.

‎• Design – I got the Oceanic Blue variant. It doesn’t look cheap at all. People keep asking if it’s over ₦250K.

‎Features I didn’t expect at this price
‎Some little things that shocked me:
‎– It runs Android 15 with realme UI 5
‎– Face Unlock + Side Fingerprint work crazy fast
‎– IP69 rating! This thing is waterproof, dust-resistant and drop-resistant (I’ve tested it 😅)

‎All this at ₦171,000. I can’t lie, budget phones are no longer what they used to be. This is a solid midrange experience in disguise.

‎What I Gained with the C75x
‎For ₦171,000 I got:
‎– Peace of mind
‎– Solid battery life
‎– Modern OS (Android 15)
‎– A rugged phone that doesn’t need a case every second
‎– And a phone I can actually use for more than 2 years.

‎That’s value. No bragging rights but at least I’m not borrowing power bank every 6 hours.

‎So I ask... Which Would You Choose Now?
‎In 2025, the lines are getting blurry. Some budget phones now offer better overall daily experience than aging flagships... especially if you value battery, updates and durability.

‎I also know that not everyone will agree. So over to you:
‎What are you using now and why?
‎Would you go for a solid new phone like C75x or a used iPhone/Samsung flagship?

‎Let’s have a proper debate

Please give solid new phone biko, flagship wey ee problem go carry me waka... I'd rather have the C75x and enjoy peace of mind, and to think that it's rather less expensive that the used flagships!
PhonesRe: Budget Phone Vs Used Flagship In 2025 — Which Makes More Sense? by tkb01: 5:23pm On Jul 31, 2025
Desewa08:
For years I was team “Buy used flagship”.
‎Why? Because:
‎– You get better cameras
‎– Faster processors
‎– Bragging rights (let’s be honest 😅)

‎But those used phones? Battery is often weak. No warranty. Sometimes they’ve been opened or refurbished without your knowledge. So I tried something different this time: bought a new budget phone instead... the realme C75x.

‎Why I Chose It Over a Used Flagship:
‎I almost went for a used Galaxy S20 FE or iPhone SE 2020 but I thought:

‎“Why not try something new, with warranty, that’s built for 2025?”

‎The C75x gave me:
‎– 8GB RAM
‎– 128GB ROM
‎– Android 15
‎– 120Hz display
‎– IP69 water & dust protection
‎– Massive 5600mAh battery
‎– Fast charge (0-100% in 90 mins)

‎And most importantly… I don’t need to worry about battery health or whether it was used in 4 countries before it reached me 😭. The Cold Truth About Used Flagships is I’ve owned used flagships before and while they shine in some areas (especially camera), here’s the honest truth:
‎ • Battery never lasts like new
‎ • Heating issues are common
‎ • No software updates after a while
‎ • Repairs? Good luck finding the right part or original screen

‎And let’s not forget that water splash or drop can be the end if it's already compromised.

‎Just wanted to share my experience because I think budget phones are finally catching up.

‎If you’ve used the C75x or any other budget device recently that shocked you in a good way... share your experience in the comments
Most people would take this like you're slandering flagship brands but no! There are devices like realme that offers you quality that are way better than used flagship brands of 4years plus but because it's not flagship it doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

PhonesRe: Budget Phones In 2025 Are Not Playing Fair — Here’s Proof by tkb01: 6:31pm On Jul 30, 2025
Bomboy1016:
Just a few years ago, a ₦200k phone would come with compromise.
But in 2025? Devices in that range are blowing minds.

Here’s why budget smartphones are winning big this year:

Let’s talk about the realme C75x
For a device that’s considered “mid-range,” it packs a serious punch:
– 120Hz display
– 5000mAh battery
– 45W fast charging
– IP54-rated splash resistance
– Mini Capsule 3.0 for smart notifications

All this — and it still sits below ₦210k. That’s wild.

💡 But it’s not just about specs…
It’s about experience. The phone runs smoothly, feels premium in the hand, and looks like something twice its price.

📷 The camera performance? Sharp.
🔋 Battery life? All-day.
💨 Charging? Blazing fast.
🌧️ Build quality? Durable.

Other brands like TECNO, Infinix, and Redmi are trying — but the C75x is setting the standard.

So what changed?
– Better processors are now cheaper
– Competition among brands is fierce
– Gen Z and students want value not just hype

The result?
Phones like the C75x now offer a premium experience without destroying your budget.

If you’re shopping for a new phone in 2025, pause and take a good look at what’s happening in the mid-range lane.

Because these so-called “budget phones” are not basic anymore — they’re quietly taking over.

📌 Have you experienced any of the new-gen midrange phones?
📱 Could you see yourself rocking the C75x this year?

Let’s hear your thoughts 👇
Based off the specs offered for the price point, I'm tempted - really tempted to go for it if I'd be needing a replacement to my old carry-around device.

This not a disrespect...you're just talking out of emotions.

The truth is that this is 21st century and a lot of companies are now leveling up to Samsung.

TECNO, Realme, Xiamo, Oppo, Pixel are such companies.

Samsung for long has monopolized the Phone industry but their reign has come to an end.

TECNO currently produces Devices that can comfortably rival Samsung products and also do that with very less prices compared to Samsung. Samsung is still thriving in their brand name and same as iPhone
Great point!

Which Rugged Mid-Ranger Should You Buy?

Realme has been making waves with its budget-friendly smartphones, and with the C75 and C75x, the brand is targeting users who want rugged durability without sacrificing functionality. While both devices share a lot in common—such as military-grade toughness, water resistance, and large batteries—they also differ in several key areas.

If you’re trying to decide which model suits you better, here’s a detailed breakdown of the differences between the Realme C75 and the Realme C75x.

📆 Release Timeline

Realme C75 launched earlier (late 2024) and is widely available globally.

Realme C75x is a newer release (April 2025), positioned as a lighter and more display-focused variant.

🏗️ Durability & Build

Both phones offer ArmorShell™ protection, MIL-STD-810H certification, and triple water/dust ratings (IP66, IP68, and IP69).

No significant differences in durability—the C75x is just as tough as the C75.

📱 Display

The C75 has a larger and sharper 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Ideal for media consumption, reading, and clarity.

The C75x uses a 6.67-inch HD+ display, but with a faster 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling and animations. Better for gamers or fast UI users, though the resolution is lower.

⚙️ Performance & Hardware

The C75 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G92 Max, which edges out the C75x in benchmark scores and real-world app performance.

The C75x runs on the Helio G81 Ultra—still good, but a touch slower in multitasking and heavier apps.

🧠 RAM & Storage

The C75 comes with 8GB RAM and UFS 2.1 storage—faster read/write speeds for app loading and file transfers.

The C75x offers 6GB or 8GB RAM in various regions, but it uses eMMC 5.1 storage, which is noticeably slower than UFS.

📷 Cameras

Both phones feature a 50MP rear camera, but:

The C75 adds a secondary 2MP macro/depth sensor for slightly more versatility.

The C75x usually ships with a single 50MP lens or a secondary low-res (0.3–2MP) sensor with limited use.

On the front:

The C75 has an 8MP selfie camera, better for video calls and social media.

The C75x drops to a 5MP front shooter.

🔋 Battery & Charging

The C75 packs a 6000mAh battery, offering longer screen time and standby performance.

The C75x includes a 5600mAh battery, still generous, but with slightly less endurance.

Both support 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, capable of 50% charge in about 38 minutes and full in 90. Both also support reverse charging.

🔊 Audio Features

The C75x has an edge here with stereo speakers and DTS/DTS-X support—great for watching videos or playing games.

The C75 sticks to a mono speaker setup, which gets the job done but lacks immersive sound.

📱 Software

The C75 originally launched with Android 14 + realme UI 5.0, upgradable to newer versions.

The C75x ships with Android 15 and realme UI 6.0 out of the box, offering newer features like Mini Capsule 3.0, AI Boost, and more refined multitasking.

🔌 Connectivity & Other Features

Both phones include:

Side-mounted fingerprint sensors

NFC support (in select regions)

Dual SIM (hybrid slot)

GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou support

The differences are marginal in terms of connectivity. You're getting solid essentials on both.

🧐 Which One Should You Buy?

Go for the Realme C75 if you want:

A sharper and larger Full HD+ display

More RAM and significantly faster storage (UFS)

Slightly better performance in apps and gaming

A better selfie camera and more versatile rear camera setup

Longer battery life

Pick the Realme C75x if you value:

Smoother 120Hz screen experience

Stereo speakers for richer audio

Newer Android version and UI features

A slightly lighter feel and potentially lower price

💬 My Final Thoughts

Both the Realme C75 and C75x are excellent rugged smartphones for their price. The C75 is a better all-rounder if you want power, screen clarity, and storage speed. Meanwhile, the C75x is ideal for users who prioritize screen smoothness, immersive sound, and newer software out of the box.

Either way, you're getting a phone that's built to survive drops, splashes, and heavy daily use—all without breaking the bank.

Realme C75x Review: Rugged Performance Meets Everyday Practicality

When it comes to budget smartphones, most brands tend to compromise on durability to keep the price down. But Realme has flipped the script with the Realme C75x, a rugged, feature-rich 4G smartphone designed to survive the elements while still offering reliable performance for day-to-day tasks.

Whether you're someone who works in harsh environments, travels frequently, or simply wants a phone that won’t quit on a rainy day, the Realme C75x may just be the ideal companion. Let’s dive deep into what makes this phone stand out.

💪 Built to Withstand the Unexpected

Durability is the Realme C75x’s biggest flex. The device comes with ArmorShell™ protection, certified by TÜV Rheinland and tested under MIL‑STD‑810H standards. It’s designed to endure drops, shocks, and extreme weather, thanks to features like a metal inner frame, airbag-like corners, and a reinforced back.

More impressively, the C75x carries not just one but three water and dust resistance ratings: IP66, IP68, and IP69. This means it can withstand high-pressure water jets, dust, and even submersion in up to 2 meters of water. There’s even a SonicWave Water Ejection system built in to expel water from the speaker grill.

📱 Display: Smooth Where It Matters

The Realme C75x features a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making for smooth scrolling and a responsive touch experience. While the 720 × 1604 resolution isn't groundbreaking, it’s good enough for everyday media consumption, especially when paired with DC dimming, eye comfort modes, and dark/paper reading features.

⚙️ Performance: More Than Just the Basics

Under the hood, the Realme C75x is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset, paired with up to 8GB of RAM (expandable to 24GB via Dynamic RAM Expansion) and 128–256GB of eMMC 5.1 storage.

While this setup won’t break benchmark records, it handles standard apps, social media, and multitasking without breaking a sweat. However, the use of eMMC storage (instead of the faster UFS) means you'll notice slower app install and load times compared to more premium phones.

Also, this device is 4G-only, which may be a dealbreaker for those future-proofing for 5G connectivity.

📸 Cameras: Functional, Not Flashy

The C75x sports a single 50MP AI camera on the back with underwater shooting capabilities. You can launch the camera before entering water and use the volume button as a shutter, which is a clever touch for adventurers.

On the front, there’s a 5MP selfie camera. Both shooters are fine for casual photography but don’t expect flagship-level sharpness or night mode magic. Video capture maxes out at 1080p without stabilization, so keep those expectations grounded.

🔋 Battery: A True Workhorse

One of the most impressive aspects of the Realme C75x is its massive 5,600mAh battery (some models list 5,828mAh), which easily delivers all-day endurance. You also get 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging, bringing the battery to 50% in just under 40 minutes and a full charge in around 90.

Even better, the battery is rated to retain over 80% health after 1,000+ charge cycles. And if needed, the phone supports reverse charging to top off accessories or another phone.

🧠 Software Experience

Running realme UI 6.0 on Android 15, the phone offers a fairly clean and user-friendly experience. Realme’s Mini Capsule 3.0 is a nice touch—it delivers updates about charging, music, weather, and ride-sharing in an easy-to-digest banner format at the top of the screen.

With AI Boost and Dynamic RAM Expansion, the phone stays zippy for multitasking, although some users report that a quick reboot every few days helps maintain performance.

Is the Realme C75x Worth It?

Pros:
Exceptional durability (MIL-STD, IP69/IP68/IP66)
Excellent battery life with fast charging
Smooth 120Hz display
Affordable price

Cons:
Slight performance dips over time
Average camera quality
eMMC storage is slower than UFS
No 5G support

At a price point around ₦178,000 for the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and around ₦208,000 to ₦240,000 for 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, the Realme C75x is one of the most durable smartphones you can buy without entering rugged industrial territory. It may not be built for gamers or photographers, but for those who need a reliable daily driver that can survive real-world wear and tear, the C75x is an excellent choice.

PhonesRealme C75: Redefining Durability And Power In The Budget Smartphone Arena by tkb01(op): 10:10pm On May 01, 2025
In a market flooded with budget smartphones, it's rare to find a device that genuinely stands out. Enter the Realme C75 — a smartphone that not only delivers on essential performance but also sets new standards for durability, battery life, and value. Priced competitively around ₦230,000–₦255,000, the Realme C75 challenges the dominance of popular budget options like the Samsung Galaxy A14, Xiaomi Redmi 12, and Infinix Note 40i. But what makes it the better choice? Let’s break it down.

Unmatched Durability: IP69 & Military-Grade Build

While most budget phones offer plastic builds and minimal protection, the Realme C75 is the first in its segment to boast IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings — meaning it’s dust-tight, waterproof, and can withstand high-pressure water jets. It also carries a MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification, giving it an edge for users who need a rugged companion.

Competition: The Galaxy A14 and Redmi 12 offer basic splash resistance at best, and none match Realme's advanced durability specs.

Massive 6000mAh Battery with 45W Fast Charging

Battery anxiety? Not with the C75. It packs a 6,000mAh battery that easily lasts two days with typical usage, supported by 45W fast charging for quick top-ups.

Competition:

Samsung A14: 5,000mAh, 15W charging.

Redmi 12: 5,000mAh, 18W charging.

Infinix Note 40i: 5,000mAh, 33W charging.

Realme easily outpaces them all in both capacity and speed.

Slick Display & Smooth Performance

The 6.72" Full HD+ IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate ensures a fluid viewing experience, rare at this price point. Under the hood, the MediaTek Helio G92 Max and 8GB RAM offer stable multitasking and decent gaming performance, suitable for popular titles like Free Fire and PUBG Mobile.

Competition:

Redmi 12: 6.79" 90Hz LCD, Helio G88.

Galaxy A14: 6.6" 60Hz PLS LCD, Exynos 850 or Helio G80.

Note 40i: AMOLED panel but with a less efficient Helio G85.

Realme C75 hits the sweet spot between display size, refresh rate, and real-world performance

Storage & Expandability

Starting with 128GB UFS 2.2 storage and going up to 512GB, the C75 offers more room than most rivals — with microSD expansion up to 1TB.

Competition:

Redmi 12: 128GB max (expandable).

A14: 64GB or 128GB options.

Note 40i: 256GB max, no 512GB variant yet.

Sleek Looks & Practical Features

Available in Lightning Gold and Storm Black, the Realme C75 combines ruggedness with a modern, stylish finish. Add to that dual speakers, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a clean Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 — you’ve got a practical, user-friendly experience.

Verdict: Why Choose the Realme C75?

If you want:

Superior build quality

Longer battery life

Faster charging

Better storage options

A 90Hz display

And solid everyday performance…

Then the Realme C75 is hands down the best value-for-money phone in the budget segment right now.

Ready for a phone that’s built to last and made to impress? Choose the Realme C75 — where rugged meets refined.
PhonesRealme C75 Review: Rugged Powerhouse With Surprising Polish by tkb01(op): 10:01pm On May 01, 2025
Overall Rating: 4.5/5

Overview

The Realme C75 enters the 2025 budget smartphone market with bold claims—and surprisingly, it backs them up. It doesn’t just aim to compete with rivals like the Redmi 12 and Samsung A14—it aims to dominate with features that punch above its price point. In this review, we focus on the top three features that make the Realme C75 a serious contender.

1. Industrial-Grade Durability

Rating: 5/5

This is where Realme sets a new standard. The C75 is the first in its price bracket to boast IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings—offering complete dust protection, waterproofing, and resistance to high-pressure water. Add the MIL-STD-810H certification and ArmorShell build, and you’ve got a device that’s tougher than anything else in this segment.

Bottom line: If you're tired of babying your phone, this is the one to get.

2. 6,000mAh Battery with 45W Fast Charging

Rating: 4.5/5

Battery life is critical for budget users, and the C75 delivers in a big way. The 6,000mAh battery easily pushes through two days of moderate use, and when it’s time to recharge, the 45W fast charging kicks in—bringing the phone from 0 to 50% in under 30 minutes.

Competitors max out at 18–33W in this price range, making the C75 the new benchmark.

3. 90Hz Full HD+ Display

Rating: 4/5

The 6.72-inch Full HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate feels fast and fluid, whether you’re scrolling through social media or playing light games. While it’s not an AMOLED panel, the LCD holds its own with vibrant colors and good outdoor visibility (up to 690 nits).

Bonus: The screen is protected with enhanced durability glass—ideal for rugged use.

Final Verdict

Pros:

Class-leading durability

Excellent battery life and charging speed

Smooth, bright 90Hz display

Generous storage options (up to 512GB)

Cons:

No AMOLED screen

No 5G support

The Realme C75 is more than just another budget phone—it’s the toughest, most battery-efficient device under ₦250,000. For users who prioritize practicality, durability, and all-day power, it’s an easy recommendation.

Score: 4.5/5 – Budget champion with a rugged twist.
