ComputersRe: I Want To Load Window Xp On My Vista On Hp Pavilion D4 by TmeD0(m): 7:06pm On Sep 29, 2009
interesting responses thus far considering OP never stated the reason he's trying to switch to XP.

@ OP, may i ask why you want to downgrade to XP? what exactly is the problem you're having with Vista? if you can answer these questions, you might be able to get some help with your machine here for free.

just so you know, MS (Microsoft) is going to discontinue support for vista shortly soon, so you might want to hold on to your copy of Vista for now.

infoseye posted livestation.com you guys can all try it. after you download it, you have to register with your email address and a password. if you password is smaller that i think 8 letters it will not allow you. so you have to have a long password.i have and i got some stations. it is much better than any i have tried at least it allows you watch at full screen. and the rest is up to the type of internet connection you have. then you can search for additional stations to the ones being offered by the software. i watched sci.fi tv,aljazeera, and i cant remember the others now. but try it. and please let me know. anyone that has a vsat connection should let us know wether it is better with that. my bandwidth is not too hot.good luck.
dude, u do realize that livestation.com is not free?

i believe the OP is trying to find a free web tv not a subscription-based one.  Peace!
ComputersRe: Pls Help Me,where Can I Download Free Tv Software by TmeD0(m): 6:32pm On Sep 29, 2009
@ Op and all, ,there is no free tv software at this time.

most of the ones that's been out there require a "one-time" subscription charge (if you're willing to dish out the dough) but from i've heard from people that have
tried them, the stations are mostly shitty, non-English speaking and in most cases ones you already have on your tv.

if anyone has actually found one that's actually FREE and works, i'll be interested to check it out myself.  Peace!
ComputersRe: Please Help- Window Xp Problem by TmeD0(m): 6:27pm On Sep 29, 2009
@ OP, what you have is more than likely a blacklisted key installed on your system.

you can download and try this but you will need something like this to actually get the first one to work.

depending on your connection speed, it might take a while but you just have to be patient.   wink

good luck, Peace!

@ eazybuzy, 4shared is not a download site but a free 5GB file storage (though upload limited to 100MB at a time) site.

and definitely not 3schools.com!

@ poster, u can't go wrong with either filehippo or apphit cause everything is categorically listed and easy to find.  I suspect the same company owns both.

by the way, if anyone is interested, Cometbird is a very decent browser, which has apphit link (software tab) built-in.   Peace!

I'm going to pretend I did not see this for the sake of world peace. Fingerprints my nyash  angry angry angry
In your haste to criticize the guy's remark, you failed to see his plight.

Besides, he was right about using the fingerprint to locate the sources IF they had the investigative capacity (he was referring to the necessary resources i.e. equipments here) to do their job.

On the other hand, if they will utilize the resources if available in a timely manner and for what it's for, is a valid argument.

Just FYI, re-read his statement again and do pay attention to the one in italics.  Peace!

You only go with this kind of weapon where you expect resistance, where you are going with the intent of war. It's not a regular thing", a police source said yesterday.

He then added in a tone dripping with frustration: "There is no cartridge that has the same groove pattern. The groove pattern on each bullet is akin to finger-prints. So, if we were in a situation where police jobs are made easier with good investigative capacity, the bullets could be used in locating the guns and sources, but my friend you know how things are here.

T@meDO, make we no tire for naija. This country is not beyond redemption. Having said that , I strongly believe that the law on the treatment of patients with gunshots wounds should be annuled or modified. Assuming the first hospital treated the late journalist, he might be alive today. Anyway, this case is an acid test for the new IG of police. May God grant Bayo Ohu eternal rest and also grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Bros, if no be one thing today na another.  Na only our continent so?

I'm yet to understand the rationale behind that senseless law that shows total disregard for human lives.

You chaps should stop molesting your President.  undecided

The truth of the matter is that they (foreign powers) want to arm twist your President into sending Nigeria troops into Sudan and Somalia. Particularly into Somalia.

The world knows the capabilities of Nigerian troops when it comes to Peace Enforcement but will never publicly acknowledge that fact.

Yes, Nigerian troops are the one that do the "dirty job" while other nations come and take the glory.

A case in point is the struggle for peace in Sierra Leone and Liberia.

Anyone coming into these countries for the first time could be forgiven for assuming that it was the USA, UK or UN that brought peace to their door step.

Nigeria lost a lot of souls fighting rebel factions in those nations and just before the "dust" could settle, "other nations" rushed in to declare victory for themselves.

Nigeria could only stand aside and watch the propaganda machines of the international community do their thing.

Now they're back and they want Nigerian troops to sacrifice themselves in the horn of Africa.

Somalia is an East / North African problem.

Let the North Africans take care of the problem; they understand the culture as well as the "mindset" of the people in that region.  <-- Abi o!

A lot of Ugandan and Kenyan troops have already died in their their bid to provide peace in the region.

I don't see Obama sending in the marines anytime soon. <-- For where? Wetin yanky go benefit with desert lands ravaged with human bones and skulls?

The strange thing is that the French govt has a military training base in the neighbouring Djibouti with at least 2000 troops.

Also in Djibouti are about 1,500 American personnel of the Combined Joint Task Force—Horn of Africa, stationed at the former French base Le Monier since 2003 http://www.cfr.org/publication/12578/ . Not to talk of their sea based assets in just round the Gulf of Aden.
What the hell are they there for if they can't quell the Somali issue? Ask AFRICOM   undecided

What is the gain in sacrificing Nigerian lives in Somali Land? What is the rational of flying Nigerians 3000 kms into the front lines when you have over 3000 US and French troops less than 400km from the forward edge of the battle area?

Let Col Gadaffi, Mubarak and a host of other North African Leaders send their own troops.

All those countries have mass armies at their disposal but are unwilling to send any soldier for peace keeping operations in the region.

They'd rather call on the UN to arm twist Nigeria into send her troops. When it's all over, they'll come again to take the glory.

A case of monkey dey work, baboon wan chop.

Leave Yar'Adua alone pls.
Gbam! Thanks for hitting the nail on the head o jare.

@ OP Having said that, what's the big deal gan papa about the UN general assembly?  Are we talking about the same corrupt UN (another debate for another time)?

Look, we all know the guy's health is failing at a fast rate and I do blame him for accepting the presidency in knowing fully well the state of his health, which would affect his performance on the job but no be Naija we dey talk about sef.

Moreover, Maduekwe will be representing him at the event; so, wetin be all the noise about sef.

But the fact of the matter is that these world leaders are not there to really address the issues facing Africa (Naija in particular) cause they could give a rat's yansh what happens to our continent as long as we're killing one another.

Has it ever occurred to anyone that the day Africa (especially Naija) becomes an independent, democratic republic is the day the West cease to become super powers?

Furthermore, the strong hold of Illuminati (believe it or not, they're still very much in existence contrary what history might say) on some of our African leaders coupled with their greed for money and lust for power is part of the reason our continent will always be plagued with misfortunes.  Peace!
PoliticsRe: Bayo Ohu, The Guardian's Reporter, Murdered by TmeD0(m): 4:12pm On Sep 21, 2009
It's interesting how the story was covered by vanguard though.

Now, having said that, who in the world came up with such a stupid law and how in the world did that law pass?

If they're concerned about armed robbers getting medical attention, why not allow the docs and nurses do their jobs (saving lives) first and then worry about any documentation later on!

This is clearly an assassination and not a robbery; he was obviously on to something big.  Hence, he had to be silenced.

May his soul rest in peace.  By the way, what the hell is with this figure-head of a president anyway?  If he's not abroad (at the expense of the taxpayers of course) receiving medical treatment, he's visiting Saudi Arabia for unknown reasons.  But I digress. . .

I tire for naija o!
