Chianya:
Would you like to marry a virgin or not and why? My reason for this question is that in the would of todaythey see the word virgin as a sin. I also heard that men don't like to marry them because they fear that they won't be able to ratify their intimate desire and they also see them as amateures, is it true and why ? I would really like to read your views and opinions on this issue.

oh lawdy, lawdy! i have to agree with everyone on this Faze's gear one o!

he really dropped the ball on this one! what was he thinking when he made this song?

oh well, i guess he got tired of being underrated and underpaid despite putting out some good music like Faze alone, Letter to my brother, and Originality.

oh Faze, has it really come to this? poor guy!  cry

====================================================================================

though, i'm not much of a hiphop fan (i'm selective about who i listen to) but out of M.I's M.I.2 album, i've only listened to two tracks and IMO, the guy's really creative o.

PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Collapses In Church by TmeD0(m): 4:57am On Dec 29, 2010
People are posting here that they don't wish death to anyone. That's fair enough. But how many of our dear country men and women have died as a result of lack of basic amenities that could have been easily provided by past and present corrupt government administrations?

1) More than $16bn was wasted (or even syphoned) by Obasanjo's administration in kangaroo development exercises in the Power sector without us even noticing a slight improvement in electric power generation for our teeming populace. And the result? How many people must have died in the hospitals (intensive care units etc) whereby constant electric power is required to operate the various medical systems? Not to talk of many of our country men and women who have been impoverished as a result of lack of constant electric power for smooth running of their businesses.

2) Billions of naira were awarded in contract for various road projects notable among them, the Tony Annenih saga. Now tell me how many people must have died on such bad and un-maintained roads through vehicle accidents , as a result of the corrupt practices of Obasanjo and Annenih?

3) A man who called himself a President - a chief presiding officer of a country, authorised the use of maximum violence by army officers against communities in Nigeria most notably, the Odi community which resulted in unnecessary waste of lives and properties.

4) Mr. Obasanjo himself, flagged off a project in 2007 in the name of second niger bridge only for us to discover that such contract was never awarded in the first place!

All in the name of hatred and disregard for fellow countrymen and women, these bast.ards who call themselves our "Elder statemen, former leaders and present leaders" continue to play politics with the lives of people who supposedly voted them into office. And when we hear that one of them "collapsed" in the church, people are here posting nonsensically with best wishes for such people without remembering our countrymen and women who have been sent to their graves by these . . .   angry angry angry angry angry angry . . . I reserve my comment. But, whoever said or says that Nigerians have shallow memories, is indeed making sense to me.
in as much as i don't wish death on anyone (which is inevitable by the way), the comment above is by far the most well thought out of all i've read so far.

it seem like our people are always quick to forget all the atrocities these our so-called leaders committed (directly or indirectly) while in power.

yet, some of us will glorify or should i say feel compassion for some of these heartless leaders that so many innocent lives were lost due to their greed, hunger for power, and wealth.

i bet if any of the folks on here feeling sorry for him (if the incident had in fact happened) had lost a relative during his reign, their responses will definitely be different.

it's so easy for some of us to play Mother Theresa from a far until we're directly affected by the action or inaction of one these so-called leaders i.e losing a loved one.

naija people sha. . .

very shallow memory! After everything, you're coming to tell me he's a great man,
A great man compared to whohuh!!! Babangida or Atiku or the many other losers you're so used to that u now think its normal?? Mcheww. Great my backside!!! Old and great are two very different things!!!
@ anathemia, huh? what r u ranting about? where in the post did the poster mention obj as being great?

did u even read his comment in its entirety, especially the last paragraph (indicated in bold)?

i'd suggest u go back and read his post again because your response to his post has no correlation to the points he raised. . . thus, your ranting makes u look  like a . . . (u guessed right!).  wink
CelebritiesRe: Winners Of 2010 Nigerian Music Video Awards by TmeD0(m): 10:17pm On Nov 30, 2010
it never ceases to amaze me how our people always fail to pay attention to little detail.

last time i checked, the list the OP posted clearly shows the awards were based on the music VIDEOS not the actual music itself!

i don't know why some of you are calling your favorite artists that did not win because you think they are the best.

maybe they didn't win jack cause their VIDEOS sucked, period!

the awards were given out based on the VIDEOS and not the songs the artists sang regardless of how popular or good it was!

**smh**  which way naija?

TV/MoviesRe: "BLACK GOLD" New Nollywood Hit By Jeta Amata by TmeD0(m): 5:04pm On Nov 19, 2010
Litmus:
Would be more pleased with the production value if not for shivering from cold because i was sweating with embarrassment and my shirt got soaked.  There was an awful lot of Nigger and coon moments in that clip which eventually led me to wonder if the CIA or some such external influence assisted behind the scene in either a financial or moral capacity.

Coon moments = Oyibos as good guys and saviors, blacks as helpless or raving lunatics with bulging eyes and quivering lips.  I was in dread, that at any moment, a  black person with white lips and bulging eyes, might go down on one knee and cry, 'Mameee, the sun shines east, the sun shines west'

Anyway, the clip suggests a real effort but i would have looked more forward to  the Movie if it had been about  the exploitation of large concerns such as Shell, or the exploitation of African fishing waters by European and Asian fleets, or about Bakassi.

Wouldn't it be great if someone made a film about Bakassi, the European complicity, our easy capitulation, people made foreigners in their own land and then an uprising by the Delta rebels against Cameroon and their French masters.

Oh another thing, shouldn't we be trying to  develop a Nigerian signature? I mean, if the clip is a reflection of the aspiration of Nigerian film makers then they are aiming for  a sort of Hollywood identity.
not to take anything away from the producer's effort and concept for the movie, Litmus made very good observation, which I personally share to an extent.

my guy, u hit the nail right on the head! couldn't have said it better.

**wonders why this not-so-flattering topic is the only commonwealth games topic on the home page**

whatever happened to a topic like Odumosu rakes in 400m hurdles gold making the homepage?

perhaps Litmus was right when he said:
Litmus:
Ain it funny how everyone has a fun party-time attacking Nigeria and Nigerians but soon as you say anything about another nation people seem on the verge of tears.
and whatever happened to benefit of the doubt, which we always seem to accord other foreign athletes that find themselves in similar situations?

*smh*  we are indeed our own worst enemy!
