HealthDon’t Do Life Alone – Things We Should Never Do On Our Own. by Tmonex(op): 12:32pm On Jan 19, 2018
Growing up, I remember a song we would sing that said, “I can do it on my own.” While that might be a good attitude to have when it comes to doing things that you should be able to do on your own, the truth is that there are some things we should never do on our own.

We were never designed to do life alone. Yes, some people might live alone, but we should all have people we can turn to so that we don’t do life alone. Think about it: who would you call in the middle of the night in a crisis? Do you have someone in mind?

When times are tough, sometimes our natural inclination is to draw back and isolate ourselves. Sometimes being around people is the absolute last thing we feel like doing. This, however, is dangerous. Look at animals in the wild, for example. It’s the animals that stray off from the herd that are the first to be devoured as prey. When we isolate ourselves our perspective is skewed and we can find ourselves struggling in our situation for longer than is necessary
.

So how do you make sure you don’t do life alone?

Phone a friend: Make sure you have at least one friend or family member that you can turn to in a crisis. Maybe you’ve had good relationships in the past but if they are not in a good way right now, you should be intentional about nurturing them again. You never know when you might need a friend.

Find a family: If you don’t have any friends or family you can count on, can I encourage you to join a church community? When God created you, He designed you to do life in a family environment. When that is not present in our lives, a church family can be a tremendous support and blessing in your life. I love this verse in Psalm 68:6: “God places the lonely in families”. When natural family is not present, church family is there to do life with you.

God is always there:If all else fails, at the end of the day, this one thing is true – even if everyone in your life forsakes you, God is always there for you. He is always ready to love you and bring you through anything you may face. This powerful verse in Psalm 125:2 says: “Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds his people, both now and forever.” You are never alone.

I hope this encouraged you today!

Jobs/VacanciesFresh Graduate Cover Letter Examples And Templates by Tmonex(op): 4:42pm On Jan 18, 2018
As an entry-level business analyst, your cover letter should highlight previous work and educational experience. Since your job will deal largely with data and reports, you should include examples of the technical business skills you have learned and utilized as part of your education and in previous positions. Try to address as closely as possible the requirements stated in the job description for the best chance at gaining an interview.

What to Include in Your Cover Letter
If you have a reference or referral from someone you know, you should include it early in your cover letter. Having someone vouch for you can make the difference in scoring an interview or not, especially at the entry level. If you know someone with a contact at your target company, reach out to them to get an endorsement.

In your cover letter, go into more detail about certain aspects of the qualifications and experiences that you mention in your resume. This is your opportunity to explain how certain skills were applied during internships and previous positions. You can also mention specific projects that you worked on as a part of your coursework that you feel are relevant to the open position.

Remember that your cover letter works together with your resume to present you as a well qualified candidate. Try to use your cover letter to enhance and provide details for the most important aspects of your resume as they relate to the job you are applying for.

The following is a cover letter example for insurance analyst trainee position. You can use this cover letter as a guide, adjusting the details to fit your circumstances and the specific job you are applying for.

Dear Mr./Ms. Lastname,

I would like to express my interest in an insurance analyst trainee position with XYZ Company. Throughout my job search and conversations with investment advisors, I have come to respect the professionalism that characterizes your firm and its employees. I am confident that XYZ Company’s values and objectives would highly complement my own strengths and enthusiasm. I would like to be considered for your Insurance Analyst Trainee role, or a similar position that requires refined analytical and communication skills.

Evidence of my leadership and analytical skills can be seen in my responsibilities as analyst intern at ABC Company, and my commitment to academics. My educational background in government and business, combined with my internship experiences, has been excellent preparation for an analyst career with XYZ Company.

Please review the enclosed resume and references, and consider my application for your Insurance Analyst Trainee role. I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you in New York and explore the company environment, as well as possible job opportunities. I will call your office next week to discuss these possibilities.

I look forward to exchanging ideas with you concerning a career at XYZ Company and the positive contributions I would offer as a member of your organization.

Thank you for your consideration.

Signature (hard copy letter)

FirstnameLastname

How to Send an Email Cover Letter
If you're sending a cover letter via email, the format will vary from that of a traditional written letter. The subject line should contain your name and the job title:

Subject: Insurance Analyst Trainee Position - Firstname Lastname

Include your contact information in your email signature, and don't list the employer contact information. Start your email message with the salutation. The body of the letter template will be exactly the same as in a written cover letter. Do not use abbreviations, and be sure to proofread thoroughly.

If you are applying for the job by email make sure that you follow the directions completely.

Different companies will prefer that your documents be presented in different formats- some will request Word documents, others will want them in a PDF, and others may specify something else. Your application won’t make it through the screening process if you don’t follow the directions, no matter how qualified you may be, so read carefully and make sure you understand and follow those instructions.

Believe it or not we have a very insensitive government and that is the reason for this act of impunity. I've had contact with on of these guys before and he was telling me how the government is handling their remuneration with levity hands, like they don't have specific offices, they stay in hotels when they're in town,nd they hardly get paid. Now this does not justify their actions, but if the government cannot provide a sane structure for that unit, let it be scrapped. Now see the menace they have become to the society. But of course, nothing will be done. We're in a #shithole anyway.

op this is great.... does that mean there is no title in cover letter because I have been seeing title in Application letter..... by title/heading I mean this " An application for the post of bla bla bla "
An application letter is often intended to stand on its own(In this case you put a title), whereas a cover letter as the name suggests is just a cover for your resume. It's meant to accompany your resume or CV.

Depending on the job openings you found, check well if they're requesting a formal application letter because in many cases, what you see around is send your cv or resume to...In this case your resume cannot be sent alone, you must add a cover.

The cover letter provides detailed information on why you are qualified for the job you are applying for. Don’t simply repeat what’s on your resume -- rather, include specific information on why you’re a strong match for the employer’s job requirements. Think of your cover letter as a sales pitch that will market your credentials and help you get the interview. As such, you want to make sure your cover letter makes the best impression on the person who is reviewing it.

A cover letter typically accompanies each resume you send out. Employers use cover letters as a way to screen applicants for available jobs and to determine which candidates they would like to interview. If an employer requires a cover letter, it will be listed in the job posting. Even if the company doesn’t ask for one, you may want to include one anyway.

Header
A cover letter should begin with both your and the employer's contact information (name, address, phone number, email) followed by the date. If this is an email rather than an actual letter, include your contact information at the end of the letter, after your signature.

Your contact information should include:
First and Last Name
Street Address
City, State Zip
Phone
Email

Salutation
Begin your cover letter salutation with "Dr./Mr./Ms. Last Name." If you are unsure if your contact is male or female, you can write out their full name. If you do not know the employer's name, simply write, "Dear Hiring Manager." This is better than the generic and formal, “To Whom It May Concern.”

Review information on how to choose the right cover letter greeting to select one that works for the job and company you’re applying to.

Introduction
Begin your introduction by stating what job you are applying for. Explain where you heard about the job, particularly if you heard about it from a contact associated with the company. Briefly mention how your skills and experience match the company and/or position; this will give the employer a preview of the rest of your letter. Your goal in the introduction is to get the reader's attention. To get started, see examples of engaging opening sentences for cover letters.

Body
In a paragraph or two, explain why you are interested in the job and why you make an excellent candidate for the position. Mention specific qualifications listed in the job posting, and explain how you meet those qualifications. Do not simply restate your resume, but provide specific examples that demonstrate your abilities.

Remember, actions speak louder than words, so don’t just “tell” the reader that you are, for example, a great team player with strong communication skills and an excellent attention to detail. Instead, use tangible examples from your work experience to “show” these traits in action. Here’s more information on what to include in the body section of a cover letter.

Closing
In the closing section of your cover letter, restate how your skills make you a strong fit for the company and/or position. If you have room (remember, just like your resume, your cover letter should be no longer than one page - here's more information on how long a cover letter should be) you can also discuss why you would like to work at that specific company.

State that you would like the opportunity to interview or discuss employment opportunities. Explain what you will do to follow-up, and when you will do it. Thank the employer for his/her consideration.

Signature
Use a complimentary close, and then end your cover letter with your signature, handwritten, followed by your typed name. If this is an email, simply include your typed name, followed by your contact information, after the complimentary close.

Format Your Cover Letter
Your cover letter should be formatted like a professional business letter. The font should match the font you used on your resume, and should be simple and easy to read. Basic fonts like Arial, Calibri, Georgia, Verdana, and Times New Roman work well. A font size of 10 or 12 points is easy to read. Standard margins are 1” on the top, bottom, and left and right sides of the page.

Add a space between the header, salutation, each paragraph, the closing, and your signature. You can reduce the font and margin sizes to keep your document on a single page, but do be sure to leave enough white space for your letter to be easy to read.

For people having another exchanger linking their Payoneer to his/her Fiverr... Open US PayPal account then verify it with your Payoneer US account details. Withdraw to the verified PayPal from Fiverr, withdraw to your US account (Payoneer) then sell your Payoneer for better payment to exchangers.

The issue of self sponsor for me is very tricky because unless you get scholarships how realistic is it that someone your age (which i guess less than 30) can then sponsor a 4 year uni plan abroad. ... given this current exchange rate it will be so expensive, its almost impossible and i think a VO willsee through that. VO live in Nigeria and have a feel of the economic climate ....so that one issue. Then after visa ..... How will u concentrate on your books and be hustling to fund yourself. The reality is easily said than done.....

Secondly if i were used i would just finish with the BSC and aim for masters... ......... One u are almost there , two u can easily switch to another field at the masters level as Eng and IT are still relatived somehow...... three if your gp is high as u say then aim for Ga which helps financially . So for me oo transfer option is out or starting again. Just do your extra semesterthen free your self from undergrad , get your transcript and certificate then before u can start facing this matter. .....which u still need funding by the way because self sponsor is hard to convince a VO Except msybe if u can demonstrate how u been working and accumulating earnings for many years
Thank yoh very much for the advice

I think I will will start preparing from now then...both in terms of the funding and preparation for exams.

I don't know ,it may seem impossible but some bloggers and freelancers cash in 1k to 1.5k ( via adsense and fiverr combined) in usd monthly.(Almost a reality for me too)

But I think the best thing is to invest in a physical business which will reflect in my bank accounts so when the time comes I won't have issues.
I will keep learning from you guys.

I just jammed the thread today and I must say I have really missed out and it was seeming impossible to begin to read from the beginning so while I read ,I will ask questions here, whoever finds this post of mine should pls respond.

I need a advice from the gurus in this thread, pls also pardin my ignorance as my questions might seem a bit lay.

I was a victim of life in 2013,which resulted in an extra year for my degree in Nigeri which ought to have completed in 2015(my mates are just abt to be mobilised in december.) But school is currently on strike since the beginning of the year putting my study on hold. So maybe it is high time I start thinking in another direction,no one can tell...I am studying civil Engrng currently. but the truth is my passion had changed since my early 200levl days as my strong zeal for computer and online stuffs has really developed that I feel I should start allover and get a degree in the I.T world as I don't find my self practising civil at all. I am into graphics, web and programming etc and wish to delve more...

My Questions

I need Advice...

As I have a year or more to be cleared of C.O(note our school has been on strike,no one knows when it will be called of ,then my extra semester before I am clear for graduation)

--->Pls is it possible I get admitted as a transfer student in any of this us universities in my case

-->I have been reading about TOEFL,Gre...which is applicable in my case..I have a good G.P too 4. Plus

-->Is it possible for one to sponsor himself if he his capable(I am a freelancer and also have a registered business) ,and how does one answer such questions during visa interviews

-->What are the recommended Universities to study I.T related courses.

I have other questions ,but it seems I am typing to much already, so I will try and read about it.

Pls. People of good heart assist your brother here..
God bless you as you do so.
