Nairalane:Is oceanic bank of the listed banks? and are medical students going to choose electives. pls reply. |
A senior medical student told me it's quite stressful paying in lagos(especially the confirmation of payment issue) so I've decided to come down to ile-ife to pay my fees at least it's safer than risking it here in LAG. @all My advice is this, if you have someone you can stay with in or around d skul pls pay ur fees in ife and save yourself future palava.PEACE |
Guys, I'm still confused I read the entire document on the e-portal and couldn't find one single account no we are supposed to pay into or are supposed to just walk into any branch of the bank and tell them we want 2 pay school fees, any stalite or well informed person should pls reply. |
rx steve:Mum nd I went on serious shopping yesterday bought a student size mattress, footwear, electric cooker, electric iron, school bag, pots, higher education notebooks, buckets, etc I think those should be the necessities freshers must bring 2 skul. PEACE |
Guyz let's exercise a bit more patience 16th is barely 24hrs away, we'll all soon celebrate the opening of thel e-portal, assuming the school fees is uploaded 2morrow and u see N150000 what will u do. @frankie22 I tried to log in and it displayed. Sorry, you are not a student I don't think it has been updated yet. PEACE |
13 days to go, |
ChiaMan:just checked it dis morning still showing d same thing, at least it has been upgraded to 2011/2012 session, hopefully it would soon be updated. |
@Matnat happy birthday 2 u I'm happy we are both born on february I'll announce d date of my BD soon. @all now dat the portal has 2011/2012 session should i try & register or what. PEACE P.S: Pray 4 the soul of Whitney Houston she was truly a legend. |
Samlan1:Yo bro, I'm sorry to hear that you've been having trouble getting in. There's no secret but diligence, hard work and proper preparation. It also helps to study the jamb syllabus extensively before & after the UTME using good textbooks like essential biology, New school physics & chemistry, the key is not to be afraid of the exam. Answering ur 3rd question I didn't know anybody in the school, so I only have God to help me. With Him all things are possible. @all don't rely too much on at least until u see it 4rm a reliable source. |
.I can confirm to u guys frm twitter dat we wuld resume on d 26th, returning students on d 4th of march, i don't lik this idea though, still waitn fr d eportal fr d real info, ALL WILL BE WELL
wats d twitter page.pls post it |
26th of feb is totally unreasonable considering dat we should go on first semester break around ending of April, it only means we're going to be rushed and that isn't good at all especially for science students but whatever the school senate decides I'm fine with it. |
e-portal isn't opening, I hope it means what we all want it to mean. GOOD MORNING. |
Guyz seriously how long is it going to take OAU to get there act together, I think we should all pray 4 d leadership of d skul so they can let us resume.@chiaman hope u got my fb message.PEACE |
e-portal is now my best friend still nothing new on the site. I don tire |
Miken01:As abatvic nd chiaman said, if u beat the cut off u don't have a problem but failure to meet the cut off will make ur chances of admission very slim. |
4rm twitter page. |
O.A .U ile ife senate met some hours after the ASUU's suspension of 59 days strike to decide the resumption date for both the new students and the returning students. Speculations with no serious agreement suggests the new students and the staylites will resume on 6th and 13th of February respectively. However, the speculation awaits the confirmation from the head of the school, PROF. OMOLE, they hope to decide very soon. 4rm |
I fear d time of dis thread is slowly drawing to an end, but to have over 180 pages isn't easy, even our predecessors couldn't pull it off. I doubt I'll post as I used to cos my mom & sisters are giving me a crash course on how to cook basic food( I'm the last born hence I'm over pampered at home). Congrats to us all, can't wait 4 us to meet at the OASIS. PEACE |
6th of February is too early , anyone wlth confirmed info on resumption date should pls post it ASAP. |
At long last d strike is called off. OAU here I come. |
We are living in a useless society where the government has no regard whatsoever for education. ASUU strike continues, only GOD knows when we'll resume.PEACE |
@dubemkelly a stalit told me freshers are to pay accomodation fees to the school account then use the teller no 2 register on the e portal |
can someone pls tell me the criteria for the ranking and how is possible to rank unis in 2012 when none of them have resumed this year |
Morning guys, is there anyone on whatsapp in the house |
You guyz should stop blaming ASUU, the funding they're asking for is to be used for infrastructure and not there salaries and let's think of it, is it fair a ssce holder that happens to become a councillor should earn more than a university lecturer with a masters degree or a Ph.d, that's why the most brilliant graduates of our universities rather than becoming lecturers (like it is abroad) either leave the country or go to the private sector leaving only half-baked lecturers in the system. This is what I believe caused the decay in the system and only adequate funding can adress it. |
ASUU presidnt reactd 2 wot ws sed by edu minista. He sed dat FG ws nt 2 dictat 2 dem wen dey shud cal f d strike. He also sed dat evn dou negotiatns wil continue,it ws nt certain dat d strike ll b cald f,becoz dey r nt afta negotiatns bt implementatn. If dat is so,den we ought 2 bcome mor patient bcoz implementatn may nt b posibl on d same monday. ASUU's rili stuborn o!
I think it's better the strike continues until the agreement is implemented coz we all know F.G won't implement if ASUU calls off the strike and this will only lead to a series of strike actions in the nearest future, I'd prefer if the issue is settled once and for all. |
I'm yet to find any news about ASUU calling off the strike anyone with genuine info should post the source. |
The ASUU strike is more than just retirement age, the crux of the matter is the funding part and until the F.G resolves that part of the agreement, I doubt the strike will be called off. |
Thank God organized labour as called of the strike all students of greatest ife get your credentials ready for registration. I'm so happyyyyyyy |
Pls i need help. helderz101:MOST OF THE FIRST GENERATION UNIS (INCLUDING OAU) do not accept combination of results no matter the course, don't let anyone deceive you, I've seen people lose their admission due to this.PEACE |
