godstino: @tobbie pls what was your post ume and jamb score that got you admitted for medicine, and wat was their cut off mark for medicine last year. I scored 302 in my post ume and 288 in my ume. There are really no special textbooks just read the JAMB syllabus at least twice. OAU has one of the easiest admission but you must pass their exam very well.PEACE |

godstino: @all i wrote post ume at oau last year but didnt meet up to requirement due to my inefficient use of time, but oau is one of my dream schools to study medicine, do you think i should put medicine as my choice or bring it down to a lower course? is there anything like anatomy or physiology at ife? i really love the school especially the calm atmosphere which is very conducive for learning, SHALOM!!! As someone who just got admission to study medicine on OAU I can only tell you to study very well as this is the only way to get admission into the school. GOOD LUCK. |

So i suggest u shd start buying watever u nid nw or u wil hv 2 pay double later. the subsidy has already been removed, the thing now is whether there will be a nationwide strike or not and when i say nationwide i mean every single working class nigerian including lecturers only GOD knows when we'll resume but one thing is for sure we WILL resume one day. This is just one guy and you're complaining of brain drain, do you know how many brilliant nigerian doctors leave nigeria every year the figures are astronomical and this is all due to goverment that doesn't take education seriously. Education › Re: LASU Law Rated Best In Africa by Tobbie9(m): 10:25am On Dec 12, 2011 |
When are we going to get our act right in this damn country, the fact remains no matter how bad a school is there will always be very brilliant students(except maybe private uni's) but these are just exceptional cases, if tertiary education in nigeria were to be viewed in general then ALL universities in nigeria are useless. CHIKENA |

Education › Re: PDP Gov'Ship Candidate Dosunmu Tackles Fashola Over LASU fees by Tobbie9(m): 7:29am On Nov 23, 2011 |
sheyguy: One thing is obvious here, what most sch pay is simply too small for the minimum standard of uni education we crave for. Hustling does not have to b stealing, there r student in closed campus private unis who hustle legally 4 substantial amount of money, any one in an open campus like lasu who cant take advantage of activity in lagos should blame him/herself. You make a persuasive point but the fact remains nigeria isn't ready for such high cost of tertiary education. Harvard and other top schools didn't start as expensive as they are now. They raised their school fees based on the growth of the economy knowing that even an average citizen can afford it plus other benefits like school loans and scholarships for brilliant students. The drastic increase of the school fees by fashola is simply unacceptable and pure wickedness |

I can imagine what i'll be going through if i had gotten admission to lasu to study medicine i'll probably be crying right now. This is sheer wickedness on the part of Fashola and the increase should be resisted by all means.ENOUGH IS ENOUGH |
