Private unis in naija for now are the best in terms of good learning environment there is no doubt about that, but it's only a matter of time before the table is turned, for those who don't know the FG will soon drastically increase funding to federal uni's and when that happens the already wide divide between federal unis and their private counterparts will further increase. |

Guy if u're serious then come to O.A.U i'm just about to enter for med there, but i know some of the med students there & they are very brilliant |
Thank you sir for that very inspirational comment, i really appreciate it |
What a big shame on Nigeria this only proves the damage corruption can do to a nation, come to think of it is there a nigerian university better than those in Ghana not to talk of the whole world.SHAME |
My point exactly, without the post-ume anyhow students will be admitted and the standard of education will further drop from it's already appalling state |
I believe we're all being biased in our judgement, how do you explain someone scoring over 300 in jamb only to score 178 in the post-ume, and assuming it is scrapped the universities might be forced to adapt U.I's system where u are required to have A's and B's in that case it will even become more difficult to get admission.PEACE |
I'm loving this thread just got admission to study med/sug in OAU, thanks to the guy dat gave the info on the text books.PEACE |
Sirs i'm just curious how much does a fresh graduate earn in Nigerian hospitals(i'm a medical student in OAU) is it worth 7 years in university. |
Glory be to God i've only been at home 2 years but i know how it feels to stay at home for too long.i've been given admission to OAU to study my dream course(medicine & surgery) 4 all those waiting just keep believing.PEACE |
I heard it on the radio this morning the new raised school fees(though i don't know the exact amount) will take effect starting with the 2011/2012 session. |
Please i've been trying to open the e-portal but it's not going wat's going on |
Three of my siblings attended oou and i can tell you categorically that it is the most corrupt school in nigeria they don't care how brilliant you are all they want is your money. Anybody that hasn't been given admission by jamb should better get in touch with anyone they know in the school and get ready to spend money. GOOD LUCK |
You're very correct muyeskin and by next year the number of admitted students will be further reduced i heard it's being done to make hostel accomodations easy for the students so as to prevent a scenario where 15 students will be sleeping in a room meant for 4 or 6 students. My contact in the school informed me that registration will take place latest by december so everyone awaiting suppl. list should calm down it will definitely be out then.CONGRATS TO ALL ALREADY ADMITTED MEDICAL STUDENTS CANT WAIT TO MEET YOU. |
Personally i beleive dat the boy didn't earn such a good result, cause if he did then he should've chosen a more competitive university like OAU or lag, anyway wats done is done and there's nothing the parents can do to make the school admit him.BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR |
