Luk, i confirmed my statement by using d helpdesk provided 4 dis yr's admission by ui, and one of d admission personnel confirmed dat its stil both jamb and o'level. So, #lands dont b confused or deceivd, use ui helpdesk for ur genuine info and answers to ur numerous questions or go straight to admission block in ui. Thank u!

@morufoye i meant no offence with that post, So if its hurts anybody dat person shud 4giv. But, try to undastand me, plz go and reread d tribune, prof wood neva said 'jamb result wil now b used instead of o'level or vice versa dis yr'. Al he's sayn is dat jamb CRITERIA, in othewords principle of invitn cand. base on d merit pt, locatily pt, and elds pt which he emphasised on immediately is still 2 b used dis yr.
Take it or u leave it, without o'level, there's no place 4 one in ui putme.
Its just about 8 days today, and everybody wil undastand him v well.
However, ui aspirant shud get ready cos d putme is goin to b survival of d fittest. Its a gud news dat more cand wil b invited dan last yr. Wat is certain is dat once invited, u hav an 80% possibility to gain admission. Gudluck pals!

There's nothing to gain bragging which method ui will use dis year. I think this shud b left 4 d skul senate to decide, al we shud b doing now is to pray to God whichever method they chooses 4 d invitation to favour us....lets jus wait and hope in God till 22nd! I beg una.

Wood well, he's tryin to let u no dat jamb's principle or criteria of merit, elds and locality is valid 4 dis yr's invitation as other yrs ie d elds pt wil b lowa dan locality pt which wil b lowa dan d merit. Prof did nt in anyhow annuld d 60:40 or o'level method is his statement or say dat d jamb result wil b d criteria.

after submiting ur teller details and pin displayd on d website. Open a new link 4 ur login. Then copy and paste ur pin and id on d portal cos i tink u are makin mistake wit sum letas or number. Moreover d pin is 10 digit.

yes, u are right sum how ie in disqualification and 60:40, but 2 me, i think d admission process stil has sumfin if nt everyfin 2 do with o'level as b4. If not, they shudnt hav askd dose wit o'level 2 submit, Again, they wud av given a date for d exam other dan a date 4 shortlisting. However, lets wait 4 22nd to c wat its going to come up with.

ur pt is stil very low 4 mech engr whose cut-off last yr was 79.3. Y nt fink abt agric and env engr, food tech, wood prod engr. Ur chances 4 dese courses, though slim but beta off dan dose high engr courses

ur pt is to low 4 petrochem, its merit cut-off pt is 80.3 last yr

the age limit 4 ui is 16 yrs. ie if u ar nt 16 yrs as of decemeber of dat yr u are offered admission, ui wil only allow u 2 defer d admission til wen u ar up to 16.

u guys got 2 b patient wit ui 4 d date of d p. Utme. It would b published on ui website (www.ui.edu.ng), but shud b afta d reg 4 d p. Utme and on the release of d names of the invited applicants. Last yr, it was aug. 29th, so it shud b july, august but precisely august cos of d awaitn o'level (waec) result candidates.
U shud b at ur best in d post utme 2 b admitted. 4 course lyk wildlife and fisheries 55% & abov may c 1 tru, 4 courses lyk pharmacy u nid say 60% & abov and courses lyk medicine and surgery one shud be there wit 70-75% and above, all dependn on d performance of d applicants goin 4 same course wit u.
U shud hv one fin in mind dat anyfin blow 50% in d p utme, ur admission 2 ui is gone no matter hw small d course may be. Dats d reason i said dat all applicants shud b crious in studies o.
Ui WANT D BEST OUT OF D BEST.

64.5 is d merit cut off point,
59 is 4 locality and
50 is 4 d ELDS

Ui puts only post utme score into consideration when giving its applicants admission. Which means your jamb score and o'level is longer considered (valid) then. As i said b4, your jamb and o'level only helps you to outshine other applicants going for same course with u so that u will get the invitation letter. Once invited and you score very high in post utme, you are already in.

@ p.ruby ur o'level and jamb score gives u previledge 2 be at d post utme afta wich only ur post utme score counts 4 ur admission
