A nice jamb score but ui o'level method, cnt say 4 nw. Pal, ur aggreg. Is 52.8. last yr cut of 4 ur course is 63.8 and 2010 point is 61.1. Dont lose hope 4 dese high points, u can b invited because as u alredi had notice d gen mass failure, and mayb tru locality.

frm cal u hav 44.6 farther away frm 2011 merit cut off point 64.5 and 2010 merit point 61.2. U ar even blow d elds and locality point 4 both yrs. I'm nt tryn 2 discourage u frm ur goal, but d truth i wil tel u. Unless d cand. goin 4 biochem dis yr hav same o'level as urs, u wont b invited. Though dere's gen mass failure in jamb dis yr, i dnt fink there's in waec lst yr and mayb it wont b dis yr. I hv a friend goin 4 biochem in ui as u, though u beat him in jamb by 5 marks ie he has 201, his o'level is beta of as his agg. is 62.1.
My advice is dat u try a chang of course if u lyk ui or go 4 change of uni if u dnt lyk ui were only ur jamb counts.
Friend, if u hv d faith and believe of being invited 2 ui 4 pume, live it lyk dat and hope on God, it wil work only nt by miracle or luck but by merit. Thank u!

The pume shud cum up say july aug. but aug as of last yr 4 1st choice cand.
4 ur last quest, wit ur agg. higha dan cut off of dis yr 4 ur course wich wil b rliz afta d submision of ur o'level durin ur pume reg. Ui wil invite u 2 ur final test d pume. On bein invited u no u ar previledged dan others who chuz same cos wit u. Being invited does nt min u are admited dats y u nid 2 study hard and pass d pume wit a high mark. D pume is jus same subject as ur jamb exam wit 100 quest. Ie 25 questn frm each subject wich shud b ritten under 1 hr 30 mins.

He or she should use his or her jamb registration number which consists of 8 digits number and ending with 2 letters.

the cut of points for economics and law are 77 and 76.6 as of last session.
U b asking wats d reason 4 al dese high cut of points almost in al subject?. Jus no dat the general performance of last yr ui applicants were awesome. Imagine med surg(m.b.b.s) risin frm 74 in 2010 to 80.4 in 2011, law frm 69.1 in 2010 to 76.6 in 2011, petroleum engineering frm 73 in 2010 to 80.3 in 2011 and others. Frm dis analysis, jus hav hope and faith wit ur aggregate dat u wil ar among d best and wil b invited for d p.utme.

since ui stil use 60-40 method. 4 ur waec,
A1-12
B2-10
B3-8
C4-6
C5-4
C6-2
D7-F9-0
ur jamb score divided by 10, den add up, u'll get ur weighted point.
For instance, a cand goin for pharmacy and havn A1 in eng, bio,maths, chem, phy, he scored 60% in his waec, and asuming he got 280 in jamb, he now has 28%. So his weighted point is (60+28) dats 88. Hope dis is clear!

infofirst: For info on ow ui compute the new score,unlike b4 last session wen ume carried 40% and o-Level carried 60%, last admission exercise, it was 50% -50 % to both utme n o-level. so ow do i calculate it now,

Old system; New system

A1- 12pts 10pts
B2--10pts 8.33pts
B3--8pts 6.68pts
C4--6pts 5.00pts
c5--4pts 3.33pts
c6--2pts 1.667pts

Then whatever u score in jamb, divide it by 400 and multiply by 50 and that will give u 50%

A candidate that intend to study Medicine and surgery has d following scores from his 5 relevant subjects calculated as

Mathematics A1- 10
English-----A1--10
Biology------A1--10
Chemistry----A1---10
Physics-------A1---10

That sumed up to give 50%

Then if he score 250 in jamb, we would have 250/400 multiply by 50 to get 31.25 to give 50% +31.25% =81.25%

u guys shud be patient and have faith in God. What u nid 2 no is dat there is total mass failure and ui cut of points must drop, but d problem nw is where wil fall to, God help us

d final cut off for pharmacy is 58 for 1st choice. D one ritten by lheye is d invitation for pume cut off. There's a ful assurance of gainin admission via 2nd choice. For diff. In cutof pt for 1st and 2nd choice, i dnt know.

@alpet ui do acept 2nd choice as 4 last yr, ur o'level pt from calculation is 26, last yr cut of in comp. Sc is 69.0, so even if u hav 400 in utme, u myt nt b invited 4 p.ume if d cut of rmains d same dis yr (cut of pts dpends on performance of cand. goin 4 a particular course). U ar advise 2 chuz anoda kos or chang 2 anoda uni or resit o'level 4 beta grades. Gudluck!
