Sonnobax15:
Good day my fellow Nairalanders...Hope y'all are doing well?

Omoh,so recently I had an argument with a very good friend of mine who hails from Edo state....It was all about which ethnic group has the best soup ........He firmly maintained that the "groundnut soup" of the great people of Edo state has more dominant the "Owoh soup" of the great urhobo/isoko people of Delta state.....So I promised him I'd do my research very well and come back to him......And as well learnt more about other ethnic groups in Nigeria cheesy

Well,Owoh is a very popular traditional soup that has always been in existence even before Lord lugard ever thought of almagamating Nigeria angry. Yes,you heard me right cheesy. It's widely popular among the urhobo/isoko people of Delta state......The myth behind this soup is that,it isn't just ordinary,as it can only be prepared by good cooks and it's eaten with great respect.........And besides it,comes starch which is usually seen as a nice combo...

One funniest thing about this soup is that, without it,no traditional wedding among us,the urhobo/isoko people is seen to be complete because it is one of the major requirements from the groom's family to the bride's family.....It is indeed both spiritually and ancestrally inclined and induced in our customs and traditions that it is even believed that whenever it is eaten, our ancestors from both far and near come together and party to it's aroma cheesy

I once attended a traditional wedding ceremony where the marriage was almost abandoned and nullified by the groom's family simply because the brides family failed to entertain them with this Owoh soup.......The bride's family had to send someone out to go and look for any restaurant around where it could be bought, and it was done after so much apologies from the bride's family angry

Well, I'm only here this day,to showcase the uniqueness that surrounds my cultural soup and hope to also learn about those from other ethnic groups across Nigeria cheesy. My dear sister, caaz,it won't be nice if I fail to mention you here cheesy

Seun, mynd44 Dominique nlfpmod obembet.... please this thread isn't all about tribal bigotry and insults as I felt like it'd be a nice thing to share our cultural values with one another so to bring unity amongst us...... Please you guys should do the needful 🙏
The first day I saw this soup , I thought it was a small baby porge oo😃😃😃

For the first time in my punting journey, I was able to bang 1.3 odd consistently in 20 rows.

5,000 has miraculously turn to 950,000.

Since I started this project at the beginning of this year using 5k, I have lost a total of 95k.

HOW I WAS ABLE TO SCALE THROUGH??

I switch from normal game to live game where I can monitor the game using live stat before placing a bet.

I disciplined myself by avoiding women's game and youth game.

I changed a pattern from betting daily to only on weekends i.e Friday, Saturday and Sunday..

I ran away from game that do not have live stat.

This projected lasted for 2 month and 1 week.
Congratulation.

Don't even make that mistake......In fact, lock it up and throw away the key until the day you'll open it...

Same thing happened to me.....But in my own case,I paid 14 months rent,so that I can use the first two months to save up some money before opening the shop ... I was shocked to see people going behind my back to go and talk to my landlady to refund my money back to me so that they can add some money to the initial amount I paid to her.....But my landlady being a good woman, refused to their plea .....She told them her conscience wouldn't let her do that to me....And besides, I've been good to all of them in the area....That was then I realized that people are naturally wicked......Cuz when I was trying to figure out how and what to do in my shop, there were people who were equally wishing and praying my dreams shouldn't come through....

Fear human beings my brothers and sisters..
Akpor!...The heart of man is naturally wicked indeed!

PoliticsRe: "48 Laws Of Power" Which One(s) Are Your Favourite Quote(s) by tobore4u(m): 2:38pm On Jul 26, 2025
IyaTola:
Here’s a summary of all 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene, each with a brief explanation:

LAW 1: Never Outshine the Master
Always make those above you feel superior. If you make them feel insecure, it could be your downfall.

LAW 2: Never Put Too Much Trust in Friends, Learn How to Use Enemies
Friends are more likely to betray you; enemies, when won over, can be more loyal.

LAW 3: Conceal Your Intentions
Keep your strategies hidden to prevent interference and gain the upper hand.

LAW 4: Always Say Less Than Necessary
Powerful people impress by saying less. The more you say, the more common you appear.

LAW 5: So Much Depends on Reputation — Guard It with Your Life
Protect your reputation at all costs. Once it's damaged, you're vulnerable.

LAW 6: Court Attention at All Costs
Visibility brings power. Stand out and draw attention to command influence.

LAW 7: Get Others to Do the Work for You, but Always Take the Credit
Leverage others' efforts while presenting the results as your own.

LAW 8: Make Other People Come to You — Use Bait if Necessary
Draw others toward your advantage. Acting first often exposes you.

LAW 9: Win Through Your Actions, Never Through Argument
Convince with results, not words. Arguments breed resentment.

LAW 10: Infection: Avoid the Unhappy and Unlucky
Negative energy is contagious. Avoid those who bring misfortune or drama.

LAW 11: Learn to Keep People Dependent on You
Create relationships where others rely on you for success or survival.

LAW 12: Use Selective Honesty and Generosity to Disarm Your Victim
A single honest move can cover dozens of manipulations.

LAW 13: When Asking for Help, Appeal to Self-Interest, Never to Mercy
People are more likely to help if it benefits them too.

LAW 14: Pose as a Friend, Work as a Spy
Gather intelligence subtly by acting close or familiar.

LAW 15: Crush Your Enemy Totally
Don’t leave room for revenge. Eliminate threats completely.

LAW 16: Use Absence to Increase Respect and Honor
Scarcity increases value. Don’t be too available.

LAW 17: Keep Others in Suspended Terror: Cultivate an Air of Unpredictability
Being unpredictable creates fear and confusion.

LAW 18: Do Not Build Fortresses to Protect Yourself — Isolation is Dangerous
Stay engaged and informed. Isolation cuts off intelligence and support.

LAW 19: Know Who You’re Dealing with — Do Not Offend the Wrong Person
Not everyone reacts the same. Study people before challenging them.

LAW 20: Do Not Commit to Anyone
Remain independent. Allegiances limit your options.

LAW 21: Play a Sucker to Catch a Sucker — Seem Dumber Than Your Mark
Pretend to be less intelligent to disarm and manipulate.

LAW 22: Use the Surrender Tactic: Transform Weakness into Power
Surrender strategically to recover and strike later.

LAW 23: Concentrate Your Forces
Focus your efforts on one strong point rather than spreading thin.

LAW 24: Play the Perfect Courtier
Adapt to power hierarchies and master the art of pleasing superiors.

LAW 25: Re-Create Yourself
Don’t accept the role society gives you. Reinvent your identity for power.

LAW 26: Keep Your Hands Clean
Use others to do the dirty work. Maintain a clean image.

LAW 27: Play on People’s Need to Believe to Create a Cult-like Following
People crave meaning. Give them belief systems and they will follow.

LAW 28: Enter Action with Boldness
Confidence creates momentum and respect. Hesitation is weak.

LAW 29: Plan All the Way to the End
Have a clear long-term goal and anticipate obstacles.

LAW 30: Make Your Accomplishments Seem Effortless
Mastery should appear natural. Don’t expose the hard work.

LAW 31: Control the Options: Get Others to Play with the Cards You Deal
Frame choices so all paths benefit you.

LAW 32: Play to People’s Fantasies
Reality is harsh. Offer escape through fantasy, dreams, and promises.

LAW 33: Discover Each Man’s Thumbscrew
Find people’s weaknesses or desires and use them strategically.

LAW 34: Be Royal in Your Own Fashion — Act Like a King to Be Treated Like One
Carry yourself with confidence and dignity; others will follow your lead.

LAW 35: Master the Art of Timing
Patience and timing are everything. Know when to act and when to wait.

LAW 36: Disdain Things You Cannot Have: Ignoring Them Is the Best Revenge
If you can't have it, show contempt. Acknowledge it and you empower it.

LAW 37: Create Compelling Spectacles
Dramatic visuals and actions attract attention and power.

LAW 38: Think as You Like but Behave Like Others
Blend in socially while keeping your true thoughts private.

LAW 39: Stir Up Waters to Catch Fish
Instigate emotions to throw people off and gain control.

LAW 40: Despise the Free Lunch
What is free is often devalued. Pay your way to assert independence.

LAW 41: Avoid Stepping into a Great Man’s Shoes
Don’t get stuck in a predecessor’s shadow. Forge your own legacy.

LAW 42: Strike the Shepherd and the Sheep Will Scatter
Remove the leader to break group resistance.

LAW 43: Work on the Hearts and Minds of Others
Influence people emotionally, not just logically.

LAW 44: Disarm and Infuriate with the Mirror Effect
Mimic your opponent to unsettle and confuse them.

LAW 45: Preach the Need for Change, but Never Reform Too Much at Once
Gradual change is more accepted than abrupt transformation.

LAW 46: Never Appear Too Perfect
Too much perfection sparks envy. Display flaws strategically.

LAW 47: Do Not Go Past the Mark You Aimed For; In Victory, Learn When to Stop
Don’t overreach after success. Know when to end the game.

LAW 48: Assume Formlessness
Be adaptable and fluid. Rigid structures break under pressure.
Thank u for this

Oluseun234:
Hello Guys,

I need a seasoned better or a sporty bet user to answer this question or if you have sound knowledge of 2UP payout terms and conditions governing multiple bet system or also known as accumulator system.

First I would like to ask if you assign '2UP' OPTION to 'Away' team as well?

2. If you select 9 matches in a multiple bet system/category and 5 of them are programmed '2UP' by you i.e by its meaning, the selected team must lead by 2 goals difference for you to get a pay-out. On the contrary, the remaining 4 matches, you pick under 1.5 or Zero or draw for either four respectively. In short, you didn't choose 2UP for the other four matches (full time, no overtime nor penalty)
Let's say you won all the 2UP matches (full time, no over-time/penalty) but failed the picks or guesses for the other non-2UP matches in that multiple bet system, will you still get paid that way for the all the 2UP matches you guessed right only or will still lose all your stake?

I will post a screenshot for better understanding but assume all 2UP matches were guessed correctly but the non-2UP selections eventually turned out wrong.

Thanks
Mr Oluseun234

It's never too late to make a u-turn since you are still a newbie in the world of sport betting.

I'm begging you in the name of whatever God u serve, abort mission, I repeat abort mission.

A wise sage once opined that "A wise men learn from the mistake of others".

Someone can easily get addicted to betting and it can take away ur peace.

RavinWolf:
Bro, this one na real spiritual fork in the road. Make I yarn you small as a brother looking out for you:

First of all, your instinct to invite her to church no be bad thing — that na your core belief, and you wan see if una dey spiritually aligned. But as she respond say she be traditionalist and even call herself Ezewanyi, e clear say her spiritual path dey very different from yours.

She talk say if she enter church, she go fall sick — that one no be joke talk o. Whether na psychological, spiritual, or both, she strongly believe in her traditional path. That kain strong conviction dey deep, and you no go fit just "pray it away" unless she truly desire change from her heart (which she no even hint at).

Omo, here’s the thing:

If your foundation na Christ and you dey look for partner wey go walk that faith road with you — pray together, grow together, raise godly kids — then this relationship go get serious wahala down the line.

Love without spiritual agreement na like building house on quicksand — e go fine at first, but e no dey last storm.

Also, she no hide who she be. She dey bold, which I respect — but no let her boldness make you second-guess your own convictions.

My guy advice?
Respect her beliefs, but also be honest with yourself:
Do you want to compromise your walk with God for a woman who already talk say she no go fit follow you spiritually?

If the answer na “no,” then kindly bow out before emotions go deep pass sense. Relationship no be missionary work.

But if you truly feel led to keep engaging her, then make sure you don wear your full spiritual armor — because na battle you dey enter, not picnic.

God go guide you, bros. Just no ignore red flags because of fine face or soft voice. ✌️
Can't you see that guy 👆 up there that said better doking would change her orientation??
