the amount of time a battery lasts depends on its rating and chemical composition. the phone's power requirements also come into play. N95's use 900mAH batteries. N95 8GBs use 1200mAH. N82 uses 1050mAH batteries. then we got the Li-Ion and NiMH types as well. altho Li-Ion is more common right now.

as per device power requirements, 1050mAH on N82s last as much as 1200mAH on N95 8GB. This is because the N95 8gb consumes more power per unit time as the screen is larger.

there are no special vendor specific chips in a battery. its simply its composition.
