For record purpose one can enter any Schengen state with long term schengen (D) visa issued from third country. Below is a mail from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia:

Dear xxxxxxxxxxx,

In response to your e-mail of 19.08.2016 we would like to inform that under Regulation of the European Parliament and the Council that came into effect on 5 April 2010, a third-country national holding a valid long-stay visa issued by a Schengen state may travel and stay in the territory of other Schengen states no more than 90 days in any 180-day period.

bro I never say they will not grant you entry, it is a schengen visa and of course you will be allow in to any country that is part of the schengen zone.. what I am stating is that you have to first travel to the country you get the schengen visa for or from, since one get the schengen visa (D-visa) for Estonia and it's written boldly on it that entry point is Estonia you will never be allowed to enter finland or any other schengen country.. but once you enter estonia and your schengen visa is stamped you are free to go to any of the schengen countries..

yes ooo, some peeps are in India right now, some have gotten their visa, some haven't, some are moving to Estonia on Friday, some are working on india visa, some just got theirs and some are travelling to india this week (I fall to this category)..


If india embassy lagos Bleep you up please move to abuja, I got my visa from Abuja after Lagos wahala. A nairalander also got hers from Abuja yesterday after lagos wahala.. no need to waste time in getting NDLEA shit

Its the Estonian visa application. The Indian visa application won't go beyond the second page. I clicked save and continue but it's stuck on that page. https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/TempFileCapcha.jsp. that's the page and it has refused to go further. I have printed out the relatives details page and the long visa page but the indian visa is whats left.

their website is very busy that's why you can't go further, try it in the midnight or very early in the morning like 6am.. that should help

baba everything in God hand oo.. went for interview at india embassy lagos on 25th of July the man bounce me oo say make I go bring NDLEA visa clearance.. I summon courage book appointment with Abuja embassy which was 29th of July with God by my side it was approved. I will be going to get my passport this Friday insah Allah... that form is the TRP form, the forms you need to fill and submit to Estonia Embassy are 1. The visa form That's 13 pages) 2. TRP form 3. Data of close relatives form.. number 2 and 3 are online pdf just fill and print

Answer to contact address is very correct but answer to place of issue is wrong o, they are refering to the place they issue your international passport o. its on your intl passport data page.

abeg no confuse the man oo, he is talking of TRP and on that TRP form there is no space to fill passport details.. so the answer is where he wants to get is TRP... see example below

contact address in Estonia should be the school you going to.. place of issue should be the state, country. e.g if you going to university of tartu it will be Tartu, Estonia

an affidavit is a document you get from high court, it's just like sponsorship letter... what to be on sponsorship affidavit

I, (your sponsorer), (male/female),Nigerian citizen of his/her address, do hereby make an oath and say as follows;

1. that I am the above named person
2. that I am the (sponsorer relationship to you) of (your name)
3. that I will sponsor the said (your name) to study (your course) at (your university), Estonia
4. that I will be responsible for his travelling expenses, school fees, stay, and feeding during his period of study in Estonia
5. that this affidavit is now required for record and official purpose
6. that I make this solemn declaration in good faith beleiving same to be true and correct in accordance with the oaths law of (state and year).
then your sponsorer will sign somewhere there coupled with high court stamp and notary public..

That is not true Toyeeb. You may even go to embassy as early as March, April or May just that your visa validity will start counting from the day embassy put on it.. A friend visa validity will start by 15th Aug.

baba I never go Estonia Embassy before oo, just from the past info I have gathered I know no entry till August.. make the bosses come clear this ooo.. omitobi, uhzi

Gentlemen, On the Estonian D-visa you will be given, there is a validity date period (from....until)
If that date has not reached which corresponds to the date you put on the application form of your entry to estonia you definitely will not be allowed in. The important thing is to Plan your trip very well with the right dates so everything can blend in well..

true... and that is why you can never get a date before August 20 because they know when all the schools resumes... your expected date of arrival will be written boldly on your admission letter.

Went to the Indian embassy at Ikoyi for reschedule on Monday, got Thursday as for interview date, had to go back cuz I didn't take sponsor's affidavit and passport datapage, the interviewer requested for them, visa approval, fee payment n biometrics on Friday. I was given d payment slip to come on Wednesday, three working days for visa to b ready for collection.

Alhamdulillahi, I was never asked d NDLEA and authentication things. God paved way for.
