I came across the post "Sowore Works For Tinubu, Funded By US Government - David Hundeyin" in which David Hundeyin accused Sowore of being a Western CIA stooge, he made wild "theories" about the non-profit foundations donating to Sowore's media outfit as being CIA fronts without providing any detailed evidence to backup his claims. Sadly, many Nairaland users without even checking if any of the claims are true were quick to support Hundeyin because they don't like Sowore or what he has to say about Peter Obi. It is indeed shameful that a public personality who parades himself as an "investigative journalist" will stoop so low as to engage in false propaganda, make unguarded utterances and empty manipulative accusations just to excite his social media page followers and placate Peter Obi's hard-line supporters over his weak leadership approach to opposition politics.

For an "international investigative journalist", it is pathetic to see that the only source Hundeyin made to backup his malicious claims was Wikipedia. I went ahead to take a look and none of what was written about the foundations backing Sahara Reporters points to a CIA affiliation. Here is a list of the international foundations and non-governmental organizations mentioned on Wikipedia below.

- Omidyar Foundation

- MacArthur Foundation

Any one still in doubt can proceed to read about the founders of these organizations.

If Hundeyin is sure about what he said regarding these organizations then he needs to come clean and publish a detail report about his findings because anything less is a clear indication of political witch-hunt, a cheap character assassination campaign that only exposes him as fake journalist with no shred of integrity.
