Then I thought again to interview her and take
many pictures of her, spread it over the social
media, probably make another Olajumoke out of
her (who am I kidding, mesef dey wait make
person discover me) but then I thought again on
why I should attempt that. Was it because the
society has placed so much lowliness of the
woman-fold? was it because I have been
programmed to consider her job as a man’s job?
Would I have been so convinced to interview a
female professor or Engineer like that? Was I not
been gender-biased? Who even made these rules
that govern our society? Is a woman not allowed
to be independent?
As these thoughts and many more rushed through
my mind, I looked up at the driver (we already
had more passengers in the taxi now) she was
arguing with one “upcoming Alfa” on the state of
the nation. As I looked at her, I saw a fighter, I
saw a real African mother, I saw a caring mother,
I saw a selfless parent, I saw a body frame that
has gone through the low depths of life, I saw a
light-skinned-turned-black hero, I saw hope.
I saw my mother, I saw my parents. I saw all
parents who struggle to make ends meet for
many of us who never even truly appreciate it.
(Camera stops rolling, I grab a bottle of Coca-
Cola and walk towards the window. I see the roof
of many houses stained and dirty. “When will the
rain wash them clean again?” I asked myself as I
drew the window blinds)

A zillion thoughts were racing through my mind,
and at the same time I was moved to celebrate
this driver. I was moved to pity, I was moved to
compassion, I was not moved to tears though. I
saw a driver who defied all the odds and broke
every single rule they have made to make the job
worthless.
As she spoke with the driver, I wanted to clap my
hands and say “Oh dear driver, you are the real
MVP” but I just had to wait till the end. Every
time the driver greeted another road user, I would
look into the face of that person just to catch
every detail of the expressions of shock, then
fascination then appreciation. But this driver was
just being in a natural mode, and I could not
cause any embarrassment. But here is what really
humbled me most in the conversation of the
driver and the other person and I will quote it:
Driver: Please do not seat like that!
Semilore: But it is not bad!
Driver: Semilore, I have been telling you not to
seat like that but you won’t listen. You see as I
am working to making ends meet so I can feed
you and your sisters but you still want to incur
more expenses on my neck. I am warning you o. I
don’t know why I always bring you to work sef,
you do nothing but stress me the more.
Well, yes the driver of that taxi was the mother of
the young girl between the age 5-10 sitting in the
front seat. The driver of that taxi was a woman
who looked so far from being a woman, her body
was emaciated and her skin was looking worse
that mine as poor as I am. She’s obviously not
only the bread-winner of her home but also the
tea-provider. |
So, it all happened this morning, I never even
experrerit, it just so happened that I was running
late after having told my friend I will arrive very
early to the office today, I was in a hurry to get a
cab and just get to the office before I start
receiving all those “Hey! Where are you?!” calls.
The taxis parked were not my taste so I strolled a
little further to thumb down any Behind cab that
won’t waste my precious time. Well, I waited for
quite a long time but the taxi I was waiting for
did not show up so I gave up and decided to join
any cab going my way.
Just after I made that decision came The Taxi I
had been eyeing to ride for a number of weeks,
the driver called out my destination and kiakia I
thumbed it down. I had to share the sit with some
set of iron rods but still I did not mind. I fixed my
gaze on the driver and the person sitting in the
front seat. What a marvel it was for me but then I
had to compose and just observe. As we
journeyed on, there was never a time the driver
stopped talking with the other person, we were
three in the taxi but I did not utter a single word
out loud; I was talking to myself. At first I
thought of just asking how the whole thing
started but then I thought again to hold my
tongue, I did just that anyway. |

Lol, if you read that just pretend as if you did not,
it has nothing to do with the experience I'm about to

I have been seeing this not too rickety not too

now, I was really interested in hitching a ride in it
but as it was I kept missing the opportunity to. I
was driving a Professor to his house one
afternoon last week or thereabouts when I drove
past that same taxi again, my inquisition
hormones raced and I just wanted to stop the car
but I dared not. So I kept on wondering what
circumstance(s) could have led to the situation, I
mean this driver was different from all other taxi
drivers I ever seen although in some other parts
of the country it may not be that surprising. I just
kept wondering and pondering (Up Nepa! Let me
plug my phones – yes I have two phones because
one cannot depend on one network provider-
before electricity is shut down again. It has been

since we last say the bulb lit up in our area) |

this photo is loaded with many revelations. I can see in the eyes if the innocent child a longing for care and succor from a fake politician who couldn't even at least carry her close to his chest and pat her like a person who really cared for and loved her would. Adieu to the future of Osun State. A state once filled with the "living spring" (prosperity) is becoming "the State of Hypocrites poised as Omoluabis" who suck the masses dry to water many hazardous gardens. (c) theWackPoet2016 |
Many people are speculating that the beef won’t
go away soon and truth is it might not.
Here are three reasons why: 1) The Streets Always Win Born and bred in Bariga, Olamide is of the streets, that’s why he could fling the mic and his cap on stage. When you are of the streets, your first instinct is to express your displeasure to create the maximum effect. That is why streets fights are always bloody. The first tactic is call off your opponents bluff by making a greater bluff. 2) Don Jazzy Took it Personally Olamide didn’t mention anyone, he only said ‘Iya Laya Anybody’, the voters choose Reekado Banks and Olamide simply attempted to remind everyone about Lil Kesh’s great music. Don Jazzy went on stage and he directly insulted Olamide, that’s where we draw the line. Mavin Boss, YBNL Boss, Olamide and Don Jazzy both bear the name boss, they both have cub artists to protect and they both do their own protecting in different ways. Don Jazzy shouldn’t have taken it personal. 3) Publicity Stunt At the end of the day, we will hear Olamide and Don Jazzy feature in Reekado Banks ‘I Will Always Protect You’ Hit Single, that’s the way our entertainment industry works. Almost everything is a publicity stunt. Our entertainers understand the food of Nigerians and they are ever willing to feed us, a thousand blog posts, twitter searches, google searches will birth from this. Next year, people will stay glued to 2016 Headies to ensure they don’t miss another debacle. |
With the judiciary already handling allegations by the present Federal Government that a huge portion of the funds for fighting insurgency was diverted by its predecessor, the subject is hardly ripe for comments by columnists who appreciate the rule of law. In the meantime however, there are a number of instructive statements in the public domain which we cannot ignore. A good example of such statements is the one credited to Dr. Peter Odili, a former governor of Rivers State. According to media reports, the former governor admitted receiving N100million (not from any insurgency fund) but from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the contact and mobilization in the South-South for the 2015 elections. He also reportedly affirmed that he has never had any dealings with the embattled Sambo Dasuki the former National Security Adviser (NSA). Odili was reacting to the allegation that 6 persons namely Bode George ( South-West); Amb. Yerima Abdullahi (North-East); Peter Odili (South-South); Attahiru Bafarawa (North- East); Jim Nwobodo (South -East); North- Central (Ahmadu Ali) received from the office of the NSA, N600million. Nwobodo and George have since similarly denied the charge. Until the judiciary pronounces on the subject, no one can say the denials are right or wrong; and this article as earlier hinted is not about who is guilty, rather we are interested in the other dimension of huge sums for electioneering in Nigeria. If only one political party spent N600million just for mobilisation, it becomes obvious that as Nigerians, we need to stand up against the politicisation of our nation. The point becomes more glaring when we add the other huge figures being peddled about in connection with publicity expenses for the same election. Tunde Salman, the Director of Communications, Elections Observation Centre for the Centre for Policy Advocacy and Leadership Development (CPALD) in a recent study attempted to track Political Advertorials for the 2015 Presidential Electioneering Campaigns in Nigeria for the Print Media only. He reportedly found that the sum of N3, 835, 898, 475 was spent on only that component of election campaigns output. When disaggregated, the APC Presidential candidate and his support groups according to the study spent N724, 540, 609 while the PDP Presidential candidate and his support groups spent N3, 111, 357, 876 respectively meaning that PDP may have spent 4 times more than APC. The study also revealed that third party spending, particularly for the PDP candidate, contributed significantly to this expenditure subhead. Considering the capital intensive nature of broadcasting, items such as jingles, documentaries and hate speeches which characterized the 2015 elections may have consumed unimaginable sums from which many persons seem to have benefitted. Even before the legally approved time for election, many support groups had spent huge sums. For example, although former President Goodluck Jonathan, for as long as two years to another election, supposedly pleaded severally not to be distracted from governance, a Pro-Jonathan group, Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN), went round the 6 geopolitical zones galvanising the people to persuade an ‘unwilling’ Jonathan to contest for a second term. Nation-wide, TAN collected millions of ghost signatures in support of Jonathan. How much did TAN spend and from where did its leaders collect their own mobilisation funds? We need answers because except we trace the sources of money being spent by such third parties, we cannot put a halt to the trend whereby candidates at Nigerian elections design strategies of evading campaign finance rules and regulations. Meanwhile, there are regulations fixing what can be spent during elections. In fact, the amended Electoral Act, 2010, makes elaborate provisions on financial guidelines for politicians and political parties. Section 91 of the Act for instance directs that the maximum election expenses to be incurred by a candidate in a presidential election should not exceed N1 billion. Similar ceilings are set for governorship elections at N200 million, while elections to the Senate and the House of Representatives are not to exceed N40 million and N20 million respectively. There is even the interesting rule that no one is allowed to make a donation above N1million, but this and all other regulations are constantly breached making it obvious that the nation, under money-bag leaders is unwilling to implement the law thereby tacitly empowering people with ill- gotten wealth to win elections Those who have often asked why elections in Nigeria are ‘a do or die’ matter may have heard many times that it is because our political system is a winner takes all type. What people forget to add is that as a result, we do not hold elections, we merely purchase consciences. Those being purchased are not the unemployed as is often alleged; money bags many of whom retrieved such bags from the public treasury can buy and do buy any type of wealthy opinion leader. All those who imagine that an incumbent can hardly be defeated in a Nigerian election are merely alluding to the opportunity he has to use public funds to buy everyone just as he can use his office to favour supporters and harass opponents. For the journalist, it may be simple brown envelope but what traditional rulers get would be hard to imagine but different from place to place. In the sophisticated southwest, it could be dollars and plenty of it. In my State-Edo, noisy chiefs get Prado jeeps and become campaign managers in chieftaincy attires. Again, incumbents are so power drunk that they can do and undo. If you speak the truth in office which is not exactly in favour of an incumbent, you may be as distinguished as General Martin Luther Agwai, you will get the boot. Indeed, even if you are a former Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces planning to contest a Presidential election, someone in the Army, your former constituency, will be made to issue spurious statements about your certificates. How Professor Attahiru Jega immediate past chairman of our electoral body managed to get out of it is one reason why this writer supports encomiums being poured on the man now. It is however hoped that the Dasuki probe will better position the nation to appreciate what our leaders do in office. www.vanguardngr.com/2015/12/the-other-side-of-the-dasuki-probe/ |

We are investigating the disappearance of # Chelmsford woman Carlie Johnson and need to trace this man pictured with her on CCTV in # London . Carlie has been missing since Friday, October 16, when she failed to return home after a day in the city. She was due to catch a train back to Chelmsford from Liverpool Street station but instead is believed to have stayed in the capital. We are releasing a CCTV image of the 28-year- old woman in the company of a man outside the XOYO club in Cowper Street, near Old Street station in the city. Officers want to trace this man as he may be able to help piece together the missing person’s movements after this image was captured at 4.12am on Saturday, October 17. Carlie is described as white, 5ft 8ins tall, with very long straight brown hair. She was wearing a long black coat, jacket, sleeveless cream blouse, short black skirt with gold buttons down the side, tights and black high heels. She may also have had flat shoes with her. The man in the CCTV or anyone who knows who he is should contact police at Chelmsford on 101. Equally anyone who has any information about where Carlie may be should also get in touch. My point is there are societal vices in every country, we should stop making it look like it's only in Nigeria.

LAGOS—The Vice Chancellor, University of Lagos, UNILAG, Professor Rahmon Bello has said that adequate compensation must be made by Eko Electricity Distribution Plc, EKEDP to the family of late Miss Oluchi Anekwe. Bello who spoke during a press briefing at the institution’s conference centre said: ‘’The Federal Government panel findings has established that the faulty cable which caused Oluchi’s death belong to EKEDP and they must pay compensation to the family of the deceased. ‘’EKEDP has put in place an Assurance Policy by an Insurance company whereby a compensation will be paid to family of a deceased in case of lost of life. The Insurance company has been contacted to come and assess the damage and give their recommendations for compensation. As soon as this is done, we will know the amount.’’ Contrary to reports that late Oluchi was not professionally handled when she arrived at the Medical Centre, Bello disclosed that the University panel has established that both the nurse and doctor on duty confirmed she had no pulse on arrival and she was brought in dead to the Medical Centre. He said: ‘’In accordance with standard practice, while her body was deposited at the mortuary, an autopsy was conducted and the pathologist came to the conclusion that her death occurred within seconds to few minutes of contact with the 11KV electric cable.’’ He, however said that to forestall future occurrence, on August 26, 2015, in a later, the institution had requested EKEDP to ensure that all overhead cables within the campus are buried in line with safety standard. You will recalled that on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at about 7pm an 11 KV overhead transmission cable belonging to the EKEDP, which supplies power to Onike and other neighbouring communities around UNILAG fell and electrocuted Oluchi Anekwe, a 300-Level Accounting student. Meanwhile, on the findings of Mr Baruwa Afeez Akinfolarin who allegedly raped a female seeking admission, the Vice Chancellor said: ‘’Baruwa is not a staff of the Department of Accounting. According to him, Baruwa had never taught any course in the Department of Accounting or in any other department in the Faculty of Business Administration.’’ He explained; ‘’the relationship that Mr. Baruwa Afeez Akinfolarin had with the UNILAG is that he was a former student of the university where he did his undergraduate degree course at the Distance Learning Institute, DLI and also his Postgraduate degree course M.Sc. Marketing in the Faculty of Business Administration. ‘’He was later engaged by the DLI as a project supervisor and invigilator for its residential programme in the 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 Academic

Korede Bello, the rave of the moment in the music industry, has said that his new song entitled “Somebody Great”, was a prophecy to inspire people to greatness. Mr. Bello told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Friday that he wrote the song to make people visualise success in their minds and then work hard to achieve it. The new song currently enjoys massive airplay on radio just like the first single, entitled “Godwin”. “[It’s] about the people, how we were born into this world and we don’t know how the journey will go and how one love will take us from nobody to somebody. “How I one day hoped that my voice would unite people and stop bombing and fighting and tribulations. “That my voice would command authority; it’s not just me, it’s about alleviating people from oppression and mental poverty. “You can be somebody great from nobody to somebody, you can be anything you want to be: have love for God, love for people, one love. “But also one of the reasons why I wrote that song is for people to see themselves as great. “Because before you can be somebody great, you need to first see it in your mind and you need to prophesy it to yourself, you need to say it to yourself. “And I guess, those are some of the privileges of being a musician because you can put things out there in a melodic form that can change people’s lives forever. “The song is more like prophesy for everybody that listens to it to be able to command authority; command respect and most of all, have mental wealth,” said the musician. Mr. Korede also told NAN that the song was about his personal struggles, and how he triumphed to become a star from nothing. NAN reports that Korede Bello has a contractual agreement with Don Jazzy’s Marvin Records alongside Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, D’ija and Dr Sid. www.premiumtimesng.com/arts-entertainment/music/190951-why-i-titled-my-new-song-somebody-great-korede-bello.html |
Fashola, in particular, was clearly fed up with
being under Tinubu’s political shadow. In the
struggle for who would be the APC governorship
candidate in Lagos State, Tinubu did not allow
Fashola to choose his successor, in the ignoble
tradition of Nigerian governors. While Fashola
favoured Dapo Sasore, the former Attorney
General of Lagos State, Tinubu railroaded in
Akinwunmi Ambode as the APC candidate.
While again, in the ignoble tradition of Nigerian
politics, governors promptly transform themselves
into Senators when their term as governor ends,
this option was closed off to Fashola because
Tinubu had already installed his wife as the
Senator from Fashola’s constitutency. The only
option left for Fashola politically was presidential
ministerial appointment and, even there, Tinubu
had put up a road block against him.
Tinubu prefers to nominate political nonentities
for higher office in the South-West, so that he
would be the only Iroko tree in the forests of the
region. Therefore his candidates for ministerial
appointment from Lagos were his little nationally-
known former commissioners, Wale Edun and
Yemi Cadosso, who could pose no threats
whatsoever to his ascribed South-West political
supremacy.
Alarm bells:But when Fashola and Fayemi
accompanied Buhari to the G7 meeting in
Germany in June 2015, alarm bells started ringing
in Tinubu’s Bourdillon Road mansion in Lagos.
This was clearly a signial that these former
governors were intent on by-passing the official
godfather of the South-West by applying to be
members of Buhari’s kitchen cabinet on their own
recognisance.
The Tinubu brigade would have none of this.
Therefore, a campaign of calumny was launched
to cut Fashola in particular to dimunitive size.
Suddenly, the “memo” was sent out implying the
former governor had developed political leprosy.
When two books were launched simultaneously
celebrating his achievements as governor, none of
his APC colleagues from Lagos dared to attend
for fear of entering the bad books of the dreaded
Jagaban.
In order to nail the coffin on Fashola’s ministerial
aspirations, it was leaked to the press that a
whopping 78 million naira of public money was
spent on the construction of his personal
website. 139 million naira was also alleged to
have been spent on two boreholes constructed in
Government House, Lagos during his tenure. The
intention here was to ensure that Fashola
becomes ineligible for ministerial consideration on
grounds that he would not pass Buhari’s anti-
corruption integrity test.
However, Buhari was apparently unimpressed by
these political shenanigans. When his list of
ministerial nominees were unfurled, Fashola and
Fayemi featured prominently among Buhari’s “first
eleven.” None of Tinubu’s nominees made the
list. Other nominees from the South-West were
precisely the kind of people Tinubu did not want
in Buhari’s team; people who would not be
indebted to Tinubu but to Buhari.
While Buhari completely ignored Tinubu’s
candidates, he included that of another South-
West bigwig. Obasanjo’s favourite-son, Prince
Olagusoye Oyinlola, former governor of Osun
State, was included in Buhari’s list. Thereby, the
president asserted the saliency of Obasanjo’s
South-West influence in Aso Rock over that of the
Jagaban. He even pointedly appointed Obasanjo
as his special envoy to Guinea-Bissau.
This is certainly not what Tinubu bargained for
when he decided to pitch his tent with Buhari and
the APC. If he were to be furthermore overlooked
in the appointment of BOT chairman of the APC,
the marginalisation of the Jagaban in the post-
election APC would be complete.
Comeuppance: Some of us saw this coming. In
the heady early days of the APC coalition, we
warned that Tinubu would be used and dumped.
But we were labelled as PDP lapdogs and
charlatans. That is why I say today: let no one
cry for Bola Tinubu.
Anyone who hears Tinubu’s recent vicious attack
on Saraki would realise these are the tokens of a
frustrated man. Tinubu could not attack the
President, therefore he poured all his venom on
the Senate President. He accused him of
indiscipline and disloyalty; the very things he
celebrated in the PDP rebels who joined forces
with him against their party in 2011.
Face saving device
The recent declaration that Buhari appointed
Babachir Lawal as Secretary to the Government
of the Federation at the instance of Tinubu is a
face-saving device. The Tinubu camp forgot to
tell us this until now. At the time of new SGF’s
appointment, all the uproar was about the
Northern lopsidedness in Buhari’s choices.
Observing the sidelining of Tinubu by Buhari,
Senator Femi Okunroumu said: “I am having a
good laugh. This is what I expected. In any case,
Tinubu is stretching his luck too far as he wants
to dictate who will rule Nigeria. Tinubu’s wings
need to be clipped. With the ministerial list,
Tinubu has been dumped. He should not just be
dumped, he should be disgraced.”
On his part, Afenifere chieftain, Chief Ayo
Adebanjo, said: “APC is not a party; it is a gang
of people whose sole aim was to remove Dr.
Goodluck Jonathan as president. In a real party,
you share the spoils of office before elections not
after elections. This is what is happening in
APC. We warned our people, but they failed to
listen.”
In the new politics of today’s APC, it is better to
be the enemy of Bola Tinubu than to be his
friend. The enemies of Tinubu become Senate
presidents; they become Speakers of the House of
Representatives; they become ministers of the
Federal government. But the friends of Tinubu
are sent to Siberia.
The Jagaban of Borgu himself has been slain
politically upon his high places. How are the
mighty fallen! |
In 2015, Tinubu received payback for these
shenanigans again to the detriment of his native
South-West. The same Aminu Tambuwal of
Sokoto he schemed into the position of Speaker
in 2011, repaid Tinubu by frustrating his efforts to
install his Lagos acolyte, Femi Gbajabiamila, as
Speaker in 2015. Taking a leaf straight out of
Tinubu’s 2011 playbook, Tambuwal conspired
with opposition PDP members to install another
Northern PDP turncoat, Yakubu Dogara, as
Speaker.
Tinubu’s comeuppance here is particularly savage
because it was actually Gbajabiamila who
reportedly convinced Tinubu that Tambuwal
would readily act as traitor to his PDP party in
2011. It is therefore veritable poetic justice that
the same Tambuwal became an equally ready
tool of the PDP in the frustration of
Gbajabiamila’s ambitions and the interests of
Tinubu and the APC in 2015.
Moreover, Tinubu was repaid for his 2011
manipulations with interest. The same treachery
employed to Tinubu’s political disadvantage in
the House was also duplicated in the Senate.
Bukola Saraki, another PDP turncoat, refused to
abide by the dictates of APC Central, firmly
controlled by Tinubu’s ACN. He snatched the
position of Senate President without official APC
approval, but with the support of the opposition
PDP. So doing, he sidelined both Tinubu’s first-
choice of George Akume, as well as his second-
choice of Ahmed Lawan.
Crumbled cookie
Just as Tinubu was licking his wounds at the
denial of his “rightful inheritance” in the National
Assembly after the APC victory at the polls, the
news came that his political cookie had equally
crumbled at Aso Rock. It had been popularly
alleged that Tinubu’s portion in Buhari’s
presidency would not be limited to the
appointment of his political godson as vice-
president, but would also include the allocation
of no less than nine choice ministerial nominees
to the discretion of the Jagaban of Borgu.
But by the time Buhari unfurled his ministerial list
two weeks ago, the alleged dedicated slots had
shrunk to zero. Many of us had warned in the
heady days of the formation of the APC that
those insistent that power must return to the
North would be determined to checkmate Tinubu
if and when the election was won. We warned
Tinubu that even as he cannot conceivably be
accepted nationally to rule Nigeria as president,
even so can he not rule Nigeria by proxy. We
warned him that the North would never allow
Buhari to be his Man Friday in Aso Rock.
However, Tinubu was too far gone to listen. It
would now appear that he even failed to take out
insurance policies against such probable
eventualities.
But once elected, Buhari started a romance with
Babatunde Fashola and Kayode Fayemi designed
clearly to sideline the Jagaban. While these
former governors were previously members of
Tinubu’s inner-circle, they had since run out of
patience with the heavy handedness of their
boss. Therefore, during the election campaign,
both of them campaigned for Buhari above and
beyond the call of party duty. |
MANY monuments have been built in honour of the man Bola Tinubu. He is acclaimed as the political genius of our times who not only engineered the taming of the PDP juggernaut, he caged it and confined it to the backwaters of Otuoke. Since the APC defeat of the PDP in the presidential election, Tinubu the tactician has been feted, celebrated and praised to high heavens. But all these encomiums have proved to be highly exaggerated. The truth of the matter is that Tinubu, the veritable Jagaban of Borgu, is a master of political illusion. He is remarkable for the distinction of characteristically pulling defeat out of the jaws of putative victory. He mid-wifed the birth of the APC, only to be shut out of its vice- presidential sweepstakes. He engineered APC”s victory at the centre, only to see his arch- enemies take over the posts of Speaker and Senate President in the National Assembly. He piggy-backed Buhari to the presidency, only to be shut out of a say in the president’s cabinet nominees. Tinubu is called the National Leader of the APC when there is no such post in the party’s Constitution. When a critical meeting of APC bigwigs was called to address the party’s imbroglio in the National Assembly, the “National Leader” could not attend because, in actual fact, he is not even a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party. Sowing and reaping In 2011, Tinubu was hailed for cutting his nose to spite his face. The PDP nominated his kinswoman, Mulikat Akande, as Speaker of the National Assembly. However, Tinubu conspired with recalcitrant PDP party-members to frustrate the plans of their party for his South-west homestead. Instead, he engineered the election of Sokoto’s Aminu Tambuwal, an APC wolf in PDP sheep’s clothing, as Speaker.

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, a chieftain of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Campbell Umeh-Nzekwe has said that it is time for the South-East to produce the next president. Umeh-Nzekwe who is the deputy national organising secretary of APGA said that 2019 is the best time for Ndigbo to work in unison to produce the next number one citizen. He added that his party has a better chance of winning the presidential election as votes from the North will be divided following the zoning of presidency to the north by the All Progressives Congress and Peoples Democratic Party. The APGA chieftain said that his party will key into this likely division in the north to consolidate on its position in the South-East. He frowned at the situation where people from his zone gave other geopolitical zones bloc votes at the detriment of their own people, saying that he is very confident that his kinsmen in the PDP will do the right thing by backing an igbo candidate from APGA in 2019. Umeh-Nzekwe: “The PDP has zoned its presidency to the North while the national chairman slot has been zoned to the South- West. APGA has thus zoned the presidency to the South-East. Hence, the PDP will be buried in the South-East in 2019. “Those Igbo who used the PDP to destabilise the Igbo race will naturally rejoin their brothers and sisters in APGA to work towards the Nigerian presidency. source www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/2019-election-best-time-for-ndigbo-to-produce-nigerias-president/ |
By Henry Umoru & Joseph Erunke ABUJA — STRONG indications have emerged that tomorrow’s plenary session, where the Senate would unveil the ministerial list sent by President Muhammadu Buhari, may be stormy as senators are saying the President must, in line with the constitution, submit himself before the Upper Chamber for screening if he appointed himself Minister of Petroleum. They are also set to reject an incomplete list, saying the constitution provides for a nominee from each state of the federation and that any list that did not cover the 36 states would suffer serious opposition on the floor of the Senate. The senators have also vowed that they would not be cowed by the trial of Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, just as they promised to adopt stringent measures in line with the provisions of the Constitution during the screening of ministerial nominees. They added that the tradition of take-a-bow for senators coming for screening as ministers would be jettisoned, adding that they were prepared to send names of nominees to the sender of such a list. Senate President, Dr. Saraki, is currently facing trial at CCT, following a 13-count charge levelled against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, bordering on alleged corruption and false declaration of assets in 2003 and summoned him to appear before it, which he did. All I can do is LOL |
Good thought but it really gets boring when there are endless posts about the life of job seekers and there's nothing to show at the end. |

It is quite disheartening, politicians have successfully broken down every pillar of democracy and yet they continue to woo the masses in a wealth of deceit. I'm guessing this Judge has been booked for persecution for speaking against the vermin and religious hypocrite poised as the saviour of the Osun masses which to him as evident are only touts, and political thugs. It's a shame really. |
