You pay N100 for every withdrawal from POS, so that it is N400 for N20,000 since "Emewerey" scattered it all. Now it is N100 for N20k in other banks ATM. If you withdraw with your bank and the ATM is onsite, it is free. Why the complain? Find your bank and withdraw if you don't want to pay. Then, when you can't find and you need cash, remove N5,000 to N20,000 and pay N100. Still cheaper than withdrawing from POS.

The only time you may not want to use ATM is when the ATMs are off-site m...like ATM at airports, malls, etc. where the bank is not there, but the ATM is there. That's when you pay N600 per N20,000 because banks spend more for such ATMs. If you find a POS around any offsite location, then use it then. But I don't mind. I won't start looking for POS at offsides. Imagine I am at the airport and I need cash. So, I will have to go to the street and start looking for POS. Right? No way. I will rather give out that N600 for my convenience, but if I can spot a POS before I enter airport, why not? Then, POS. But personally, I want CBN to damage that POs business. So, I will rather not patronise them again so they can all pack up operating where there are enough ATMs. Let then operate only where ATMs are not enough for the residents.

Most people aren't educated, and they just cry stupidly and spread false info.

On this policy, CBN has done well for us. Na illiteracy dey worry those criticising it. CBN carry go!


The above is one of the most reasonable submissions on this New Atm charges by CBN. Realistically CBN just want the banks to load cash in their Atm and make it more functional. Is now a matter of choice for customer to use the atm or post. The good part customer that use atm card of the bank is free withdrawal for the ₦20,000 or more.

Red Alert to Nigerians

On d 7th of May a cousin of mine called me that he got a text mesage from me to transfer #10 to #20k to his FCMB Acct which i dont ve FCMB Acct. He actually tried to transfer into d Acct initially but d name on d Acct was not mine. That what raised his curiosity to call me. We found out it was a scam from a close person that knows both of us. He informed d scammer that dat name on d Acct was different. Within an hr an Eco bank Acct was opened in my name nd sent to my cousin again. I was how could dat be , i later found out Eco bank encourage opening an Express Account online without submitting any documents or verification. Such Acct is opened using ur mobile Number as Acct Number by removing d first digit. Immediately, money is transfer into such Acct d frauster or whoever transfer such money to their original Acct for onward withdrawal. It baffles me how Eco bank do not realise that this channel of Acct Opening is an expressway to fraud and financial malfeasance. In a country trying so hard to stamp out financial fraud with d establishment of BVN nd NIMS. Anyone can open d so called Express Acct with Eco bank within 30min. Such Acct has no record and no trace. It is an easy way to dupe money nd move such money.

Is the car still available?

The proliferation of empty Estate will definitely reduce if the Govt impose tax on d houses. Unfortunately, those saddle with responsibility of enacting such laws are d major owners of d houses.

This is a welcome development, let appreciate good things nd critisize when is needed.

It quite unfortunate in this era when the nation is trying to instil probity, accountability and respect of rule of law in d way we conduct our business, some still wnt to remain in their old ways. Nelson jaja owner of Traodotech could not use Gov Wike to cover up his wiickedness of nt paying the contractors their money as at when due after supplying sands for over 4 months. Some of d contractors borowed money frm banks nd they are the verge of bankcruptsy. I wld sincerely urge the govt of River state to clear their name on this issue.
