Fight "Terrorism" not "something" when it comes to "Terrorism in the name of something" |

baby124: What do you want Muslims to do? Kill for the ban of long hijab? You want to kill a whole human being for trying to save their own lives. You are very unrealistic with a big problem. People who have kids of other faiths can also demand that their kids be exempt from NYSC if there is a threat to safety. Which there is with long Hijab. A muslim does not have the right to take a life. He / she can't create it. |

CookieLaVee: Isn't it amazing how absense of "long" hijab is now synonymous with being unclad?
With every ounce of sincerity, Religion,(Islam, Christianity,...Etc) is the undoing of mankind. I see no reason why a healthy human being with brains, would want to reduce the DG's temporary suspension of the use of "long" hijab on camp to infrigement on human right. In this current volatile situation of this country? Besides, What will happen when the head is left uncovered? Ever think of asking that question with an unbiased mind? Talk about being captives of our own identities, living in prisons of our own creation. As logical as this is. What makes a religion made it compulsory at all time while the other made it compulsory (only) at prayer time means - there is a viable reason of such practice. What will happen will definitely be something spiritual Which I doubt if me and you is certain of it. |

A fellow corper wrote I met Joseph in NYSC camp (BATCH A 2015), when we were called to sign up for our CDS group (info tech). He was noticed when he volunteered to take the list for the new recruits and also offered to host the whatsapp group for we the BATCH A CDS group members (till date). He was so helpful and polite whenever he was called on camp for any information concerning the CDS. Joseph in my opinion has always been a healthy and vibrant corps member because he was part of the martial arts group while on camp. Only to find out from other members of the CDS group that Joseph has been hospitalized and diagnosed with LEUKEMIA. it was such a shocker! LEUKEMIA from my research is a malignant progressive disease in which the bone marrow and other blood-forming organs produce increased numbers of immature or abnormal leucocytes. These suppress the production of normal blood cells, leading to anaemia and other symptoms. It is in other words CANCER OF THE BLOOD. luckily it can be cured, but it is a very expensive procedure that cant be done within the shores of Nigeria. JOSEPH OKONKWO EKENE is 27 years old, he is currently undergoing his NYSC in FCT abuja, he obtained a B.Eng Electronic Engineering from University of Nigeria Nsukka, and hails from Enugu State. he is a very nice, loving person and friendly to all. He is currently hospitalized at the National hospital Abuja. Sadly Joseph’s health is deteriorating and needs a Bone marrow transplant ASAP. Already Joseph’s medical bill from the national hospital has amounted to 2.5 million Naira, and he needs a minimum of 15 million Naira for the bone marrow transplant procedure in India. Please on behalf of our friend Joseph Okonkwo Ekene, we the BATCH A (info tech)CDS group, his families and other concerned corpers, plead and ask for well meaning Nigerians, NGOs and institutions to please come to our friend’s rescue and please donate to the life of this promising young man. please no amount is too small. We plead with the general public to please donate and also pray along with our friend Joseph. below are his account details BANK: Access Bank ACCT NAME: Joseph Ekene Okonkwo ACCT NO: 0044775960
GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Source: https://9jacorpers./2015/10/24/save-corper-joe/ NB: the blog was developed to help him raise some money.

Hello Everyone, a friend, colleague and fellow corper needs our help. I just received this message from our whatsapp group which showed a more concern than I imagined... Duly protocols will be followed as instructed...
---- Greetings Everyone. From the confirmation I just got our friend and colleague , Joseph is in a more critical condition. He cud be taken to India for a marrow transplant. This as a result calls desperate measures n efforts. Please any NGO, person ,platforms any of us can reach for him please do. The situation is VERY critical! Taking him to INDIA wud cost 15 million Naira, USA costs 32 million Naira. The medical treatments here in Abuja already amount to 2.5Million Naira. Please let us also pray hard for him too. Pls take any necessary pain to help a colleague. Thanks. God bless you all as u make effort to sustain the health of Joseph in Jesus name, Amen.
Mizmycoli, seun, and OTHERS that could help in one way or the other are summoned in the name of God.
AGAIN, protocols are ready to be followed, though I am not new to nairaland and the charity program, I'm a novice to how it is carried out.
He is presently in National Hospital Abuja, also serving in Abuja.
