The domain is actually for an educational cause but not by an institution. Since certificate of accreditation needs to be tendered for a .edu domain, is it not required for a .edu.ng domain?

There are different image types due to the conversion process, with each type suitable best at some point in time; having differences in size, quality, transparency and support for animation.


A compression algorithm is used to convert a raw file to any of the types JPEG, PNG and GIF.

If you wish to compress a file to a very small size, the consequence is less image quality. Such compression are said to be LOSSY. This compression algorithm is best for images with high no of pixels. JPEG and GIF uses this type of compression algorithm and that is why most photos from cameras are in jpeg files.
Imagine if a 5MP camera produces. (5*1000)pixels=5000pixels
Then a Nokia Lumia 1020 will produce 41,000pixels!

While JPEG is best for photos with images, GIF is best for pictures with words alone (or being majority). Moreover, GIF supports animation and transparency.



For images in which quality is more important, a compression algorithm which retains quality is used. Such compression formats are said to be LOSSLESS. PNG uses this format. There are two common types of PNG files PNG-8 and PNG-24.

PNG-8 is built to improve on GIF. I.e like GIF, it is also small in size and can be smaller in sizes.

PNG-24 is built to improve on JPEG and which makes it most times larger in size than JPEG.

I think we should make this suggestion to seun.

We all write mathematical equations and expressions using our phone's symbols list. Apart from the fact that it is not appropriate, it reduces the readability and the zeal to post and attend to mathematical questions.

There is a solution!
But that depends on seun. There is a mathematical typesetting program called LaTeX which is specifically for typesetting mathematical documents. Not just only available for desktops alone but also available for the web!

This is what is being used by forums like math.stackexchange.com/questions/96151/do-imaginary-and-complex-angles-exist
And the likes of wikipedia when writing anything mathematical.

How do we use it here?
Depending on the platform to which this forum is built, there is a plugin will allows us to write such equations. If the plugin can be integrated to this forum, then we are good to go!

THEN,
We need to learn how to use the language LaTeX. Since we are mathematics student, I believe few if not all of us knew about the use. Unfortunately, since it is not included in our courses at school majority may fail to know about this.

SOLUTION
I can sacrifice my time to teach us all on how to use this beautiful language.

NB: LaTeX is what is being used to write our textbooks, project, thesis and the rest!
