MadCow1: Interestly, Okporo is high ground..
And there are gutters there as well.. But that place and water sign MOU... The water for some reason does not flow down but sits there. Point of correction. Okporo Road is dualised with underground drainage. Is one of the legacies of RH Amaechi. The best Rivers Governor in her history. |

Flood over took RD road off okoporo road in port Harcourt just after only 2 hours of rain today. The government should come to the aid of thie people living here as there is no working drainage system coupled with bad road. This road is even behind the fence of shell residential area this company can also be of help. Stop mis information. RD Road is different from Okporo Road. |

sinistermind: But there was an evidence of petition on Amaechi, why didn't the EFCC act on it? I believe all dis is happening to intimidate akpabio These are two different issues u all bringing up. Even at that u will answer it. The same petition u are reffering to as regards Amaechi, Av u ever wondered why the governor of Rivers hasn't started prosecuting him with these facts? Efcc has investigated and found out that the petition doesn't worth the paper it was drafted on. It's nothing but a heap of lies. Amaechi is currently in court demanding that wike present his facts that he stole to the law court, till date wike hasn't done so. Who is deceiving who? That u wrote a petition doesn't make ur petition valid. Akpabio is different because the petition written against him needs to be investigated. As against rivers state that the governor can prosecute Amaechi, u and I know that Udom will never do such instead he will kill any investigation from all quarters. Above all, it's wrong for u to be comparing two alleged thieves. Treat each one on its merit. |

sinistermind: Did anyone write a petition to the EFCC on A/Ibom? The A/Ibom state government got an injunction to discontinue any further investigation into its books. So why is the EFCC adamant in pursuing the A/Ibom case. u av just proven to all that u are so much ignorant of the subject matter. Yes, a lawyer and activist called Leo Ekpenyong petitioes the EFCC on A/Ibom.
http://www.nigerreporters.com/efcc-begins-probe-of-ex-akwa-ibom-gov-akpabio/
again read the opening post, that injuction u are reffering to has been vacated by the same judge who issued such. so u see, no one is adamant here. the rule of law is being followed. EFCC is free to proceed in her investigation. |

sinistermind: Why Akwa Ibom state? Rivers State have being shouting about the misappropriation of funds in their state and till now EFCC hasn't decided to look in the books of River State govt. Delta, Bayelsa will be next. Rivers state don't even need efcc. Go and learn. Wike claims that Amaechi stole. All he needs to do has he has promised over a year ago is to ask his AG to proceed to court and start Amaechi's prosecution. Why is wike scared of presenting his evidences in court to prosecute Amaechi? Does he has immunity? Could it be that is so called evidences are nothing but heap of rubbish? Ur guess is as good as mine. |
Politics › Re: Court Clears EFCC To Investigate Akwa-ibom Finances by Tokety7: 5:22pm On Aug 07, 2016 |
The mere fact that the AG of a state will wake up one morning and proceed to court without being asked requesting the court should stop all security agents from investigating their finances and officials both current and previous suggest to me that that entire state stinks of corruption. Good decision by the court. Between now and October, I expect efcc to unleash their entire investigative prowess on this state, they will be shocked that Dasuki is a child's play. |
Politics › Re: EFCC To Seize Akpabio's Properties Over N108bn Fraud by Tokety7: 5:15pm On Aug 07, 2016 |
DedeNkem: Only in Nigeria would a State Government go to Court to get an interim order barring the EFCC, an anti-corruption agency from investigating a former governor's (Akpabio) administration! It's very interesting!
Akpabio is one of the most corrupt politicians in Nigeria. He's a common THIEF. In fact, he's more corrupt than Ibori, who's s currently in jail in the UK. Akpabio looted his State's funds with impunity and was always doling out one million in cash to each corrupt politicians at meetings for "lunch" or "dinner" or "fuel" or "transport", etc. He publicly gave out SUVs as gifts to his fellow corrupt politicians and even built some houses.
He did all these while ordinary Akwa Ibom people languish in poverty. The colored part is so nauseating. It simply tells u that that entire state stinks of corruption. For years, I Av repeatedly stated that akpabio is a thief. O yes, he built some few world class roads here and there in the state but the eediot had so much to throw away at will also. By the way the eediot was also giving celebrities SUV. Was that ever budgeted for? |

IVORY2009: Demdem, its not easy running and state neither is it easy running a country, 25 billion might be received by the Rivers states govt for the month of June like you rightly put it, but do you know that der might be lots and lots of projects that the said money might be channel into? Is like saying the FG on Buhari budgetted "Thrillions" and most federal rds are still in bad shape, no you look @ the projects @ hand before judging, Buhari today has recovered billions of dollars looted and the economy is still in bad shape, same with rds and other infrastructure, but people will forget to look @ his project @ hand. The economy is heading into a deep recesssion. tell this to the woman trekking to work or business owners on this road wike destroyed.
