opeyemiieblog: According to reports, their cars ran into the armed robbers who had laid siege along Ilishan- Sagamu road.
Mr Latin narrated the ordeal this morning saying,
“we left Ijebu-Ode after the show and heading to Abeokuta, when at about 7.30 p.m. we ran into the armed robbers already stationed themselves on the road,” he said.
He explained that Odunlade was driving ahead of his car when he sighted the road block by the bandits.
Odunlade attempted to make a detour, but the bandits rained bullets on the tyres forcing the car to a halt, he explained.
Mr Latin, who drove in his Toyota Camry behind Odunlade’s Toyota Avensis, said he and his colleague, alongside some of their aides, had to abandon their vehicles and run into the bush.
He said they were in the bush for almost two hours, while the bandits ransacked their vehicles, carting away valuables including money and mobile phones.
“We ran as the robbers pursued us with guns. We were in the bush for about two hours, before we later regained freedom after the robbers left the scene,” Mr Latin stated.
He said some vigilante members later came to their rescue and they were taken to Ogun State University Teaching Hospital, Sagamu for medical treatment.
He said the matter has been reported to the police and thanked God for sparing their lives. Abeg, na wetin be the title of this movie? Looks like one of the Mr Latin's film I once watched. |

jaylister: There is a saying that “All day is for the thief and one day for the owner ” this is a story of this old man who was caught by residents of the Onitsha-South Park.
The suspected robber was caught by those in the car park after he was said to have stolen. Five-Alive, Fanta and some other items. He was not killed but he was beaten to stupor. The irony of the matter is that, almost all the lynch mob in the park had one time or the other stolen something. And these are the same people hailing and praising Patience Jonathan, Stella Odua, Diazani Madueke, et al. Not justifying the man's misdemeanor, but common sense is meant to be applied sometimes, when punishing a criminal. |

Former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, who is being investigated for a series of multi-billion dollar fraud and money laundering offences in Nigeria, the United Kingdom and America has threatened to squeal on her co-conspirators, Kola Aluko and Jide Omokore. She said after opening up on everything that transpired in the controversial fraudulent transactions, she would be ready to be thrown in jail along with her co-conspirators. Please send her to Nigerian jail, not American jail. She seems to dread the Nigerian jail. Hence, why she was looking for Buhari's favor after the APC victory at the general election in 2015. And feigned cancer-ridden patient costume on her arranged meeting with Dele Momodu |

The Federal Government says it has taken steps to amend the Nigeria Broadcasting Code to discourage the production of Nigerian movies and music outside the shore of the country. Can the federal government start by discouraging the treatment and recuperation of Nigerian President outside the shore of the country? Lai Mohamed is goofing here again as usual. The best the FG should have done is to look into the reasons why our movie, music and reality TV show producers are making their production outside Nigeria and provide solutions to the reasons. Instead of this needless code amendment. If the solutions are provided, no one would need coercing the producers to make their production here in Nigeria, if they tried weighing the cost of production outside the shore and it is more expensive and less profitable to them. We have to understand these producers are business men who have to give out their best to make the maximum profit. |

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, made this known on Saturday in Lagos when he paid a visit to the headquarters of the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON). The Minister decried the situation whereby films, reality TV shows and music, were made outside Nigeria, for consumption by Nigerians. He said the situation had hampered empowerment of practitioners in the industry, the development of the sector and the nation’s economy in general. Lai Mohammad was definitely referring to the Big Brother Naija [BBN] |

[s] Adminisher: This is very uninformed of you. I have seen cattle on the roads in three European countries and camels in at least two Arab countries. In the US wild deer cross highways and sometimes cause accidents . Whoever has educated you that cows should not graze is a fool like you. We are mainly calling for better regulation and dedicated grazing trails.
Also you guys should stop being unrealistic about what it takes to police herdsmen. I have calculated something like 3 milliion police men are required or substantial investment in technology which is not going to happen. They move in the bush and they are not afraid of the night , rain or any danger. There is nothing any government can do except regulate and give them grazing trails. [/s]thrash bin content! |
