As for whether Nigerian girls are trained or not, I am sure there are still a lot of good ones. There are still many of them out here not having the issue being addressed by the op. Yes, cant know some very well and people change, always marry someone you know to a large extend. People change ooh more especially when they cant gain anything from you anymore Same thing like I said. No proper home training. No real values, humble when all is good and troubles (change) when things fall apart. Alot of people change not just people change. You're proving me right. Alot of peaceful marriage are just in an artificial makeup. We don't pray to see the beast in any partner so we pray things continue to go smoothly for everyone. |

dettolgel: I have been around those other countries females. The difference is that we raised our girls with a certain level of independence and drive that the other ladies lack. Ironically we do that within our cultural limits. However, when they move abroad those limits are no longer there and their range are way beyond what these Nigerian men can tolerate.
On the other hand, Nigerian men have huge egos and most of them are raised to believe that their worths lie in money and how much control they have over their women.
I have witness at least two cases, these men brought their women from Nigeria and ensure that the women used their husbands' account as their salary accounts. One of the ladies after nine years had to open her own personal account and that led to trouble and they got divorced. The other thing I observed, is that these couples never loved each other, and were total strangers. In fact it is a marriages of convenience, he wants a young Nigerian lady that he will bring abroad so she can earn a lot of money for the family. The lady in return needs someone to sponsor her abroad so she can make money and live her life.
My advice to those men, why dont you go back to school? Become a nurse, marry a lady bring her over and let her become a teacher. She is less likely to earn more than you and your "respect and control" stay intact and she would have enough time to take care of the family and directs the kids future. It is actually foolishness for you to want your wife to come and earn more than you do so that she can be the pillar of the house. That is not the Ego of an African man. And point of correction, Nigerian women are not properly trained. We love to tell ourselves lies. Nigerian women are trained to be a liability, dependant, which make some an irrepentantable gold 🪙 digger. Their method is to rely on "boyfriends, husband, fiance, male friends" when climbing their way to success. People trained with such a default liability mentality are entitled and feel no sense of remorse or indebtedness to their pillars. They see everything as a stepping stone to their greatness or goal in life. That is why you don't sacrifice to help people. Do the barest minimum you can. |

Ijebu migrated from Ife before Oduduwa was born but still there are many Ijebu Towns like a Ijebu Ife that were founded by Ife Princes If you study Ijebu History further you will discover that many Awujale still married Ife Princesses who gave birth to some Ijebu princes
So it is very difficult to not to find Oduduwa lineage among Yoruba Royal families even if it is not on the father’s side it is likely on the mother’s side. Ooni of Ife was meticulous in building strong relationships through Roysl marriages too
It was through their mothers side that the Orangun Ila and Olowu received their Ife Crowns
This search is already claiming that Obanta’s mother was an Ife Princess The Oduduwa dynasty didn’t joke with Royal Marriages it was a very big part of their Nation building strategy Any ijebu history from non ijebu historians are over padded and fabricated. |

nairalanda1: The man is the male version of Jennyclay. They deserve each other.
Toxic masculinity and toxic femminity.
Sometimes I wonder if some of the people who write this stuff are actually married...or are actually living a fantasy where they are the sultan with a harem filled with concubines and women and slaves, .oor something.
A man should do some chores around the house, to at least model behaviour for the boys of the house that there would be times when you need to step up when you do not have a wife, or when your wife is not around...in other words, life skills.
These guys bring up single men who cannot clean up after themselves or look after themselves...because no woman..lol. Jennyclay is not a feminist. Don't equate liability for feminism. The Op is right. You can assist your wife but don't share responsibility, those who want house wife know what they want. They can assist their house wife doesn't mean they shared responsibilities. Working class couples share responsibilities with love. |

zoedew: All the political office holders should sell their horrendously expensive official vehicles bought at inflated rates and buy enough buses for the people. What will 15 CNG buses do among many millions of Ekiti State citizens? The capital is just about 600k people, many will not even be in a busy area that needs buses. The buses are for urban areas and 15 is a good number to start with. The ekiti guy has been doing his best, even tho we expect more. Etiki people should learn how to pay tax too |

My friend worked a bank head quarter in Lagos and he's one of their IT staff. The pay was ridiculous so he has to start looking for US gigs. When he got US gigs the frustration was still there no good light. Now he's in Europe as a senior IT staff. Government should make basic amenities available for lagosians and improve the security. Agbero everywhere, oh I forgot to tell you area boys robbed him when he was still working in that bank with meager salary and nice suit. Lagos is not a safe place for talented people, area boys everywhere, boys that should be deported back to their parents domain or be put in the correctional centers within the state. |

It appears to confirm recent reports that the numbers of Iranians who embraced Jesus were exploding beyond measure, even to the millions, hence they could no longer hide it or continue to keep it to themselves, but had to boldly come out and declare that they are for Jesus.
