lol, I remember complaining that I couldn’t see the 2025 IGR figures from NBS. I specifically said that it was being hidden simply because Enugu out generated every state except Lagos.

Unfortunately Nigeria statistics have been heavily been influenced by tribalism leading to half truths. There is also a reason why the NBS has refused to provide a recent official statistics of the actual oil production numbers by states because that would kill a lot of narratives.

We told people here that IGR is not really good a measure of economic development. This is why world biggest economies are usually measured in GDP and not IGR.
Enugu simply increased taxes and blocked some loopholes and you can see that they have outperformed many states and regions that like making mouth with IGR figures. Imagine if south east states are really bent on this taxation and IGR stuff the south east will be number 1 region in the country. IMO state is either the second or third largest economy in Nigeria.

IGR determined how developed a state is going to be. Which will later translate to a better GDP.
