Please can I get the list of the forms you filled for your wife and son. And how much for your wife's application and how much for your son's application.

I did online application, cant remember the forms. After filling the generic questionnaire, the required forms will be loaded.
For wife i paid 100+85+150 (open work permit holder, biometric, work permit fee app)
For son i paid 100cad

Son's birth certificate

My wife submitted their passports today and was surprised vfs charged her 10,250 . They said is service/postal charge for my son since he didn't pay for biometric.

Any idea on how many days or weeks it takes for passport to be returned after submitting to vfs based on original passport request for online applicants.

Biometric 1st week in June not sure of the exact date
Sept 25 medical passed and my son's birth certificate requested
Oct 23 passport request

I am new in this room. I have gone through all most all the post in this thread.

I applied for SOWP Via :Online 
Timeline (submitted online 14th June and biometrics 18th of June )
Since then I have not heard from CIC.
Going through other people's experience, just find out that it's only God that can make it possible for them to approve my application.

I wonder what cic is waiting for knowing I didn't submit any thing that shows a strong tie to naija.

We received request letter on sept 25 to provide our son birth reg/cert that shows both parents name within 7days which we submitted same day. Both my wife and son medicals were passed same day as well on 25th as they did upfront medical.

Timeline
Sowp may 30 online route.

Send a mail to Accra office since your timeline already passed the average processing time.

Is there any May applicants waiting for cic decision?
I submitted my wife application on May 30th and she did biometric on 31st - online route. The good news is processing time is now 20 weeks , hope it'll continue to reduce based on the trends.

Do the maths even during holiday that you're working 40hrs you tend to pay more tax and if it is under the table you're being paid low. Do the maths if you're working mon - Fri you can get avg of 480/40hrs/ week with no life because I did it when i was a student.
My point is dont assume you'll hustle to pay your tuition fee while schooling here.
Abi how many hours job will you do to raise 14k? When you've reoccurring bills

Averagely the kind of job you'll get would be minimum wage pay of $11.25 though varies per province and location. Let's say $210 after tax.

Pls dont assume you'll hustle to pay your tuition fee(from experience) , but you can make enough money to cater for your other needs like accommodation, feeding, phone bills, transportation......

My wife did upfront Medicals but she's been asked to do another one. It's not even up to one year she did it. I feel cic Ghana is filled with confused people. I've asked my wife to go for the medical so that they won't have any reason to deny her.

That's strange as cic medical is valid for 12 months.

Thanks @toluberry so if medical is done how will cic get it that is my main concern?

Every applicant has a unique number called UCI which is link to individual passport number. You need your international passport to do medical, so when cic received medical results they'll search with the passport #/UCI # then update applicants profile.
You can as well wait till they call you for medical.

If you want, sure you can do the medical and it'll be updated on your application when cic get the result.

I submitted my wife and son application in October without upfront medical but we were nominated on express entry in Dec which we've to do upfront medical. I checked the application last week and noticed both the Sowp and express entry medical has been updated.

I will advise you add your spouse WP, to do this you'll fill a Web form on CIC and also send it to accra via email. Though when the VO check the UCI# they'll see the current status of your spouse but notifying them won't do you harm.
Also for the record if you hold open work permit you don't need a job before your spouse can apply for SOWP.
Is only closed work permit holders that needs an employment of NOC O, A, B and must have at least 6 months left on their permit before their spouse can apply.

Please which one is faster between online or paper application. I intend applying for spouse open workpermit for my wife. I saw 14 weeks on cic website
