Hello everyone . Please my dependant and I were had an appointment on the previous platform for a student visa but couldn't attend before the platform was moved to AVITS. I have been migrated and been able to reschedule my interview but I am unable to reschedule my daughter even after raising tickets and sharing her payment receipt. They keep saying there's no record of previous profile for her with an unused payment.

She was always registered under my email in the previous platform as a minor and dependant.

Please has anyone experienced this issue with rescheduling a dependants appointment from the old platform to AVITS and how were you able to resolve it.

Do I need to create a new profile with another email for her. We have a limited time because her visa fee expires 19th of June. I don't want to have to pay another visa fee.

Please i need help. My daughter was registered on the previous platform under f-2 but we had to reschedule this year. I have been able to register and book an appointment using my receipt from the last platform but ive not been able to reschedule my daughter's. I went to create new application using my own avits profile like i did on the old platform but they keep saying the receipt number is not recognised. I have complained to support and they keep saying the issue has been resolved. Do i need to create a seperate avits page for her using another email? Support keeps telling me i'm supposed to see pending application but all i see is create new. See screenshot of feedback from avits

Good morning. Please i need help. I missed an appointment last year and started a new application to be able to help me reschedule. During the proccess when i got to enter MRV receipt, it told me my number was invalid, but somehow, my application from last year came up on my page and i was asked to reschedule. I picked a date and i have rescheduled. Now i want to reschedule my daughters appointment because we applied together. I contacted Customer Service and they told me to use the create new button, but what im seeing is pending application request and cancel application. I am weary about clicking cancel application because i dont want my now scheduled appointment to be canceled. Please what do i do? has anyone experienced this. Please see screenshot attached

Hi,

It's a technical issue and you need to contact support. It took a lot of raising support tickets and calling them back to back before it was eventually resolved.

Just be persistent and call every 3 days also let them know of the urgency cos your payment validity expires in July.

I paid for my MRV on the previous platform and I'm trying to reschedule. I have a pending application request but anytime I click on it to continue, the entire Avits page loads without progressing and freezes the page and I can't do anything. I want to delete the pending application but there's no way to that without clicking on the pending application which freezes the page.

I have tried to reach customer services but there's no option to chat or to speak to an agent.

I have used different browsers and it's the same thing. Please has anyone experienced this and what did you do.

Use the click to talk button. They will eventually ask if you want to speak to a customer service agent.

1. I will summarise that the appointment you missed was for renewal ? Anyways , it was the consular who was supposed to decide your faith , at worst, he or she would place you on 221g and ask you to bring your daughter at a later time, but you did not even go inside based on the confusion outside the gate ?

2. It seems you have missed the appointment, but let's hope if a twist of event could happen. If after 2 days you are not rescheduled via email, then i doubt further hope.

3. Call the embassy helpline if they can give accurate solution, otherwise, you will have to start all over.

1. The instructions says; those with previous VISA appointments B4 the update should not sign up or tamper with the new website, they should keep checking their email for instructional notification from the embassy , which will guide them further .

2. Other applicants without prior appointments with the embassy should visit the website , sign up, choose payment option and proceed with MRV payment before they would be able to schedule an appointment.

PS: If the number 2 above is not working as expected, then probably they are still updating .

Thank you so much for your feedback. I had my appointment scheduled for last Friday but it didn't hold because I didn't appear with my 1 year old daughter who is on F2 visa based on information found on the website. Getting there, they said my daughter must appear. My sister eventually brought her but couldn't meet up cos they closed a few mins past 9am and we got there around 9:10am. It was a terrible experience. That means I have a missed appointment. I don't know if situation one will apply to me. The officers at the check in counter said I would need to apply on the new website.

Hello guys,

So after the widely publicised news about the launch of the "effective and mind blowing" new online platform for passport application, I decided for a first time to try a Nigerian government online platform.

On the 9th of January, I decided to apply for my passport renewal on the platform. Everything went nicely and payment was seamless. The problem began when I wanted to book appointment. On booking appointment, a popup that shows "invalid date" keep popping up. For 2 days, no solution to this issue. So I had to visit the passport office in Ikorodu and later Ikoyi branch. Turned out that it was a general problem and the crowd at Ikoyi for the same problem is another story for another day

4 days later, I was later able to book appointment. On the day of appointment, I arrived to meet lots of people already waiting. Now this is the observation:

1. The people that applied on the old online passport platform had no issue and went ahead with capturing (yes, we already had a former online platform for application that would eventually turn out to be more efficient than this new platform based on experience, but was phased out by Tunji Ojo on launch of the new one).

2. The immigration officers acted as if they are angry with people for applying online. They would be like "Baba, no disturb us, shey u applied online, go back online, online will attend to you". One blatantly told me that my paid money is gone and free gift to government. That I will eventually apply physically when I am tired. Meanwhile they are charging 55,000 naira for 32 pages passport (something that is 35,000 naira online) while someone I met said he paid as high as 105,000 for 10 years 64 pages passport (unverified information as he didn't show me evidence. My best friend applied for 80,000 naira for his and turned out to 32 pages though).

3. The people that applied physically or through agents had no issue with capturing

4. Then everybody that applied from the day the new platform was launched could not capture. We were told that our application was not found. Apparently it have not been approved. Unlike the former online application platform that does instant approval after payment approval, the new one need to be approved by the Minister's office which I know is a clumsy excuse. So we ended up going back while some officers were charging 5,000 naira with promise to help find solution.

Now my question is, why phase out the old platform that was effective to start a new one that is as ineffective as physical application if not worse. Brothers and sisters, 10 days after application, I am yet to my application approved, same as other people I got their contacts. No solution in sight and no updates and the contacts for immigration office never connects. Best it would do is ring and noone picks.

No defamation to Tunji Ojo but on this new online application, it was just unnecessary, and just another means to corner funds. Just like a governor starting new projects and leaving that of the predecessors. Why didn't he even bother to upgrade the old platform if it was as effective as needed?

Before you start abusing me, the new platform is passport[dot]immigration[dot]com[dot]Ng while the old one was passportintl[dot]immigration[dot]com[dot]ng and have the apply/signup button now hidden

It's well. So I only have to wait endlessly or go back to the office and pay new money for a new renewal application. But the issue is that double applications won't work since the passport is linked to one NIN and passport number.
Have you been able to capture? The same thing happened to me when I went to capture on Monday, even though I applied through an agent. Till date the issue is yet to be resolved.

I'm believe there would be. Our course coordinator already gave us a list of documents to prepare and number of copies to make for screening. Guess we ll be having the screening alongside lectures.

Please I would advice that we try to visit our departments to be sure of what's going on. Today Public Health had their orientation. I missed it but i was at least was able to get information from students that attended and know when classes commence. Public Health classes start on Monday for full time and on Friday for Part time.
