The case of the former president of Ikeja Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA) Edward Eyitayo Olutoke, and his conspirators who are presently on the run for duping several investors/members of his Chambers of Commerce estimated at close to N900m is an interesting case with his Matured M.O.U investment concept used to defraud lots of innocent people who invested their resources into his dubious enterprise. He has caused pain, untold anguish, and hardship to several families within and across the world who fell for his grandiose investment scams..

As it stands, Edward Olutoke is on the run. He is currently rumoured to have fled Nigeria, where he has disappeared and absconded due to his transgressions. He is a fugitive running away with people's funds. His office in Ikeja, including his church, Givers Embassy, has been deserted. He claims to be a Pastor, using his influence on the pulpit to deceive several gullible people through his grand fraudulent schemes.

A plea to the EFCC, NIGERIAN POLICE, INTERPOL, and SEC is to declare Olutoke wanted for his alleged crimes. It is time for his prosecution, and Justice must be served on him for his Ponzi scheme, which has left so many individuals and families with so many communities presently devastated by his shenanigans..

Edward Olutoke must face Justice for his fraudulent activities and be made to pay dearly for his crimes against his victims.

Our appeal is for his arrest and trial should begin immediately to enable his victims to reap a sigh of relief that justice and recovery of funds siphoned through his illicit Ponzi scheme are returned to their rightful owners.

The local Government system is described as the government of the grassroots due to its closeness to the people that had former council chairmen becoming Governors Like Nyesom Wike,Caleb Muftwang,Lucky Igbinedion,I had my personal experience as a journalist with Dividend magazine a publication for Local Governments across the Nigerian federation,it was clear that local councils play critical roles in National development by virtue of their closeness to the people by undertaking projects such as Primary Health centers,Paying primary school teachers,grading and construction of feeder roads,building markets and town halls,however unfortunately since the return to civil rule in 1999 Most state Governors have hijacked the LG System by duplicating the roles of Local councils a classic example was former Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko who created a ministry of Community development and cooperatives then appointed a former Local council chairman in clement faboyede who went ahead duplicating the roles of the Councils in the entire ondo state constructing health cares,water facilities,markets etc..

This move further eroded the functions of local councils by rendering them ineffective against the spirit of the 1976 Local Government reforms by the then Military regime of General Murtala Mohammed...The most bizarre move today is that most councils are now rendered useless by State Governments across Nigeria, where funds meant for Local councils are taken away by State Governors and given pittances to pay salaries only every month,infact the LG System has collapsed in its entirety from elections into councils supervised by Governors see them winning all the seats by their State Independent electoral commissions...The recent move by the Federal Government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is worthy of commendation, he is an apostle of effective grassroots governance by showing a good example as Governor of Lagos State from 1999-2007 when he created 37 Local Council development areas(LCDA’S) a move that pitted him against then President Olusegun Obasanjo who declared such move as illegal and went ahead to seize Local councils allocation arbitrarily against the letters and spirit of a federal system of Government until the supreme court in a landmark Judgement ordered the release of the seized allocation to Lagos Councils.

With Local Government autonomy fully restored the third tier of Government can effectively run and people at the grassroots can begin to feel the impact of the Councils rather than the present state where they are rendered grossly incapable of performing their various mandates by the usurpation of their roles by State Governments across the Federation.

I pray that the Supreme Court judgment will guarantee democratic elections in the councils and stop Governors from appointing cronies as council chairmen by unilaterally dissolving Local councils at will...This move will encourage Nigerians with the leadership skills to run and vie for councillorship seats nationwide so that quality, sound, and effective Governance can be provided to the masses who have suffered from bad governance at the grassroots due to the present unfortunate situation where the Councils have collapsed.

And I always advise that you should start collecting proven copy templates, swipe files, etc – by proven, I mean those that have actually made money.

If you hear that a particular sales letter or ad generated millions of dollars, download or copy it, and keep it safe in your marketing arsenal.

This way, you can study it, break it down, learn from it and also model it whenever you want to create your own ads or sales letters.

That’s the secret.

People however ask me how they can go about getting/building their own copy collection.

Well, the truth is: this is not something you do overnight.

It takes time to build a solid collection.

Whenever you come across an ad or a sales letter or video, and you find it so compelling that you’re in fact itching to buy from it, then keep it.

APC ABUJA SCRIPTED PRIMARY ELECTION

1. If you ask for my opinion about the purported APC primary election that took place on 20th April in Ondo State, I will describe it as the best scripted and choreographed nollywood film of the year,2024

2.We saw the build-up to the primary election full of intrigues and very entertaining, especially with galaxy of aspirants who toured around the 203 wards across the state to solicit votes and those who stayed glued on social media, either waiting for Abuja anointing or manna from heaven that never came. Nonetheless, the campaign exercises were so electrifying, full of creativity, and seriously speaking, captivating!

3. Honestly speaking, no one would have raised any eyebrow amongst the aspirants and their supporters if the primary election guidelines had been complied with by the ODODO and his gang. We just need to be sincere with ourselves that there is no competition without guidelines. Therefore, any attempt to bypass the requisite guidelines of any competition will raise an uproar, and it may amount to building something on nothing.

4. I know for sure that this nollywood primary election scripted and choreographed by Ododo and his gang can't stand. It is suffice to say that those unseen hands behind this charade called primary election have murdered sleep and may never have peace until the right thing is done. Those who scripted this charade called primary election in our over two decades of unbroken democratic experiences are planning to turn Ondo State to battle ground to scuttle our democracy. I also know for a fact that one of the hallmarks of Mr. President is justice. He will certainly not accept this sham called primary election if he were to be an aspirant in this contest.

5. It's glaring that with the fingers of the leadership of APC in this floppy primary election, and open disregard of the primary election guidelines, it may take forever to achieve any meaningful reconciliation because genuine reconciliation is usually predicated on the pillar of justice.

6. In conclusion, I forsee implosion and eclipse of APC in Ondo State as people who were supposed to ensure sanity in the process of primary election have soiled their fingers in all manners of absurdity and these barrage of complications may defy any resolution as we march towards the Nov governorship election. I have this fear that reconciliation without justice is like peace in the graveyard. We should ask from Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and some PDP members. "No party goes into any election divided and comes out to sing a victory song afterwards.

After the meeting convened on Thursday , 25th of April, 2024 by the National Chairman of the APC, Ahlaji Umar Gaduje, it appears Mr. chairman is nonchalant and flippant about the grievances of the aspirants and majority of APC members in Ondo state; who have ventilated their dissatisfaction through petitions to the appeal committee of the primary. Though, the committee is yet to give it final verdict on the outcome of the primary but it is glaring from every indication that Gaduje has been compromised by His Excellency, Lucky Ayedatiwa and he is not ready to convince the national leadership of the party to accede to the yearnings of the aspirants and majority of APC members in Ondo State who are deeply saddened and devastated about the sham and charade conducted by Usman Ododo led committee.

This is not a threat or intimidation to the national leadership of the party but a sincere admonition that must be heeded or hearkened to because, we remain intransigent with our stance on the outcome of the primary that unless justice is done and fresh primary is ordered we shall continue in our quest or pursuit for justice and we shall explore all available remedy to seek redress in court which may jeopardize the interest of the party in Ondo State. The APC members who are aggrieved about the outcome of the primary are patiently waiting for the decisions of the Appeal Committee before any further step and I urge His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a founding father and the national leader of the party to wade into the matter before, it is too late in order to prevent the apocalyptic scenario that transpired in Zamfara and Rivers State in 2019. I don't think there is any rational human being that will accept the outcome of the primary that never took place; does this mean the national leadership of APC doesn't acknowledge the loyalty, commitment , tirelessly and relentless efforts of the some chieftains of the party like Chief Olusola Oke, SAN who worked assiduously to give APC resounding victory in 2019 general election?


With utmost humility and reverence to the office of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, I humbly entreat our father to deploy the instrumentality of his office to cancel the primary where Ayedatiwa and his cohorts in connivance with Usman Ododo led committee manipulated the entire process and manufactured fictitious figures for himself . The whole world knows there was no election in Ondo State and I believe if the president is still committed to the growth of the party and ready to sustain the winning tempo recorded by APC previously in Ondo State his intervention is very indispensable to avoid the consequences and collateral damage or adverse affects of the fraudulent election conducted by Usman Ododo led committee. It would have been better if the election took place and Ayedatiwa doctored the results but in this scenario no member of the party was allowed to exercise his franchise even the Governor cannot show us pictorial evidence where he castated his votes in his ward but was chased out of his country home like commoner.


I'm still left bewildered how Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin who claimed to have collapsed his structure for Ayedatiwa in a video which has gone viral on the Internet was allocated votes and came second in the election after asking his supporters to vote Ayedatiwa and there's overwhelming evidence the election was characterized with violence, thuggery, intimidation and threat. It is extremely devastating without moral justification for someone to deny his Co- aspirants and their supporters access to vote.

It is easy to show concession and display spirit of sportsmanship if actually the election actually took place but very difficult to accept defeat in an election that never took place after all the aspirants have embarked on campaign tour across the eighteen LGAs in Ondo state and have committed their substantial fortunes or wealth to the primary by spending heavily to woo and solicit for the support and votes of the party members across the state this totally unwarranted, unjustifiable and unconscionable and highest level of moral and political bankruptcy displayed by H. E Ayedatiwa and Usman Ododo led committee.

The emotional and psychological distress suffered by the aggrieved aspirants and the party members who were denied access to exercise their franchise still reverberate in our hearts and still remain poignant in our memory and I think the only thing that can provide a healing balm to the injury we have suffered as a result of electoral theft perpetrated by H. E Lucky Ayedatiwa is that justice must not only be served but it must be seen by all and sundry to have been done. If all the aspirants decide to accept the outcome of the primary what would be the fate of their various supporters whose hopes and aspirations are tied to their candidature and how can they convince their thousands of supporters who were brutally injured and currently receiving medical attentions in different hospital as result of violence perpetrated by the thugs recruited by Ayedatiwa to unleash mayhem on party member who are not in support of his aspiration? My answer is: if fresh primary is not cancelled fresh primary is not ordered I see APC in Ondo State on verge of extinction because majority of party members are already contemplating of working with the opposition party. We are not saying we don't want APC in Ondo State what we are saying is that we don't want Ayedatiwa.


His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu the emergence of Ayedatiwa has festered the intractable skirmish in the party in Ondo State, the hostage taking of the electoral officers and hijacking of the electoral materials is an eloquent testimony that there's massive discontent and opposition against this government. A government that's popular will not seek in power through a back door but through legitimate means. If Ayedatiwa could not win APC gubernatorial primary in a transparent contest this cast doubt on his charisma, personal magnetism and respectability in Ondo state and one doesn't have to consult a prophet or soothsayer before he can know Ayedatiwa can't deliver for APC in Ondo despite having several political appointees across the state.


Mr. President, we are clamouring for your intervention and the agitation of the people on the cancellation of the primary is becoming vociferous on daily basis and if justice is not done APC will definitely lose Ondo State. It must be noted Gaduje is the national chairman of the party has nothing to lose because he is not holding elective office that's why it becomes imperative for you to listen to us so that we can enough reasons to vote for you in 2027 as we did in 2023 by giving you highest percentage of votes in the whole federation. Our hope is lost we believe you are our last resort before resorting to litigation and consequences may spell doom on the party we therefore, urge Your Excellency, as a matter of urgency and proffer solution to the current political squabble within the party.

[OPINION] Philip Shaibu: Lessons in Power - Reuben Abati


Philip Shaibu, the Edo state politician who was Deputy Governor in that state until yesterday afternoon, would seem to have failed woefully to learn certain basic lessons of power. He has said that he is a victim of an act of injustice and that he would fight to the very end. He may have been led by his counsel to believe that he can fight this to the finish and get back his seat. He would be mistaken to be so misled. He had it coming. He has just been taught a few lessons in the dynamics of power play. The 48 Laws of Power is the title of a book written by Robert Greene, an American author in 1998. It was a massive bestseller, selling over 1.2 million copies in the United States and even more worldwide, offering simple commonsensical advice, illustrated with narratives and historical examples to prove the point that power is a dangerous game, and only persons who understand its dynamics can survive in the palace. Greene recommends humility, obscurity, and skillful navigation as the best skills for survival.

One of the reasons, Philip Shaibu, Deputy Governor of Edo State got impeached yesterday was due to hubris, defined in the literature as a flaw of character. And to worsen his agony, both the legislature and the Executive further conspired to nominate, approve, and swear in a replacement, within hours after his impeachment, in the person of Omobayo Godwins from Ibilo, Akoko Edo, the oldest local government area in Nigeria, in specifically, Edo North where Philip Shaibu himself hails from. In the power play that we have just witnessed in Edo State, it is clear that Governor Godwin Obaseki intends to crush Philip Shaibu completely. He has publicly humiliated Shaibu and forced him to know who the master of the game is. Less than a week after Easter, days after the betrayal of our Lord Jesus Christ by Judas Iscariot, Shaibu, a Christian has just been made to remember, forcefully, Acts 1: 20 – “For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein and his place let another take”. Yesterday, someone else took Philip Shaibu’s place in Edo State.

$18.5B DANGOTE PETROLEUM REFINERY COMPLEX…

Almost 180 days after commissioning no single litre of product is yet to be refined ….How A Petroleum products importation CABAL and Vested interests are working round the clock to frustrate this revolutionary project.

MATTERS ARISING…

No doubt since the discovery of crude oil deposits in commercial quantities in Oloibiri present-day Bayelsa State, Nigeria has indeed had its fair share of challenging circumstances regarding the neglect of other critical sectors and focus on oil revenues which generate over 90% our foreign exchange..From recent reports, over $380b has been stolen and misappropriated oil revenues in 65 years of oil exploration and exploitation by previous administrations.

The downstream sector of the oil sector has been plagued by massive importation of petroleum products with three oil refineries situated in Warri, Kaduna, and Port-Harcourt still undergoing some forms of repairs, the decision by multi-billionaire business leader Aliko Dangote Africa’s richest man was a welcome development when he began the construction of $18.5B 650000 barrels per day world’s largest single-train petroleum refinery situated in Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State in the year 2014 cumulatively 9 years today…During the last days of the defunct Muhammadu Buhari’s administration in May 2023 the commissioning of the refinery stole the headlines of a transformation in the Nigerian Economy with local refining of crude oil and domestic supply of petroleum products for domestic consumption with the attendant surge in economic activity creating several millions of job opportunity taking advantage of its proximity to Lekki Free trade zone, newly built Lekki Deep Seaport, however, the sad reality of the Nigerian state is the huge refinery that came with enormous promise is yet to refine a sinliteritre of petroleum product nearly 180 days after commissioning, with stories that state-owned oil giant NNPC Ltd its major crude supplier has refused to supply crude to the Dangote refinery, the same NNPC LTD that wanted to buy a 20% stake in the project….The same NNPC LTD that secured a $3b crude finance deal with the African-Exim b.k..The conspirator theories flying around is that once the Dangote refinery finally becomes operational, the cabal that continues to import fuel and collect subsidies from the country that has gulped 16 trillion naira in the last 10 years is hellbent on frustrating the Dangote refinery from taking off fully since their reign of slush funds from fuel importation begins to dry off…

Nigerians must shake off this docility and begin to ask pertinent questions why a refinery that gulped a whopping $18.5B is yet to begin refining and production when the owners of the project are not running a charity bazaar with huge investments running into billions of USD with profiting as the sole aim of a business venture.

As a concerned stakeholder in the Nigerian project, we are giving the NNPC LTD before the 31st of December 2023 to begin direct sales of crude oil to the Dangote refinery complex to enable them to begin local refining of petroleum products that can create huge job opportunities and foster economic growth…The need to begin a campaign of alerting the global community of grand-scale sabotage becomes inevitable.
