make sure your system isnt on mute, mine works with earphones when on mute. else a cable is snapped i.e if systemrestore dont bring em back.

you should start with an open mind, a desktop (so u can sit one place without running around) and python (the PL software, not the snake). with good devotion, u'll be shockd at yourself.

you dont need to format your system. just wish you knew the name of the blue screen error?
assuming its not a ram error (which is very rare), folow these instructions

-get a windows 7 boot up disk. if u r in naija it should cost about N400-N600. sometimes, a vista would do
-set your boot priority to CD rom and you should see a motivating interface.
-are u there?
-choose system restore (fastest solution but 40% chance of working ). this is ur #1 diagnostic

if your still "frowning   ", choose the command prompt option.
you shoul see stuff like this:

             C:\windows>
type      C:\windows>chkdsk /r
some nonsense will run till 100%
now type exit and try again. it works 90% of the time .

*make sure you remove all external hardwares (USB devices, network cards, etc) i hope i helped you out . let me know.

I came across this post in an attempt to find any1 to complain to about the corrupt practices of NIPOST. NIPOST staff stole my laptop, after making so much noise, they had to release it anTd guess what?! it was open. NIPOST and all its staff from DG to messenger are thieves! if not while will they hold down ur mail within the country for more than 21days.

The most annoying part is that, we choose something cheaper but when it lands here (i.e when), you'll pay between 10-8 thousand bucks (negotiable 4 that matter). please next time, lets use UPS or DHL.

that aside. try these many things.

1. check that your mic jack (usually pink) is properly fitted.
2. click the volume icon on the left side of ur taskbar, make sure "line-in" is not set to "mute" or low in volume. also balance it at the center.
3. test ur mic with the yahoo. on the toolbar, click action, then click call setup. follow the wizard and setup your mic.

I've seen most of the problems with xp bsod's.
sameolg616 is ur man - he got it.

u cld try out these few steps first (because u dint give details of the bsod. *every bsod has its description, in capital letters* not just those numbers).
1. take out all externals- flash disk, usb hard disks, ext bluetooth or cdroms etc -if u have any
2. boot in safe mode (press F8 while booting), a list will appear, select safe mode. if it doesnt shutdown by itself, it means ur lucky. accept options for system restore n ur good.
3. if it shutsdown itself b4 step 2 ended, there's an 86% chance we have a ram problem ( my own irrational estimation). if u have a ram less than a 768MB u need an upgrade else change your ram or 1 of your ram (they might have been surged out. PS- dont touch the ram if you have a cotton cloth on. ESD can kill your system.
4. see a tech.
