Kossyne: Sorry I am bit lost here. What's Residency training all about?. What are the implications of this move by the FGIt, means that abt 80% of the doctors has been sacked...so the formal Doctor patient ratio!which was 1:6400 has now increased to 1:100000 . and the old specialist by the tym they retire, there wld be no new specialist in nigeria...kajikuo! 1 Like |

[quote author=Profayo]Some people are so ignorant of the hippocratic oath,as if the oath says medical doctors should not be paid. They say doctors put money before patients,so doctors should not be collecting salary abi? For your information, doctors spend more time with patients than the time they spend with their own family, yet some fools says doctors are not commited. The only way a doctor makes up for the time away from their family is what they bring home at the end of the month for all the time they spent attending to others, yet some fool says doctors put money ahead of patients.Fashola packed mad people on the streets,he forgot some are online.[/q Quote] #gbam! 2 Likes |

tbagjames: No body should blame the doctors. If things were done right in this country there would have been no strike, no bomb and no impeachments. Let the FG remove the speck in its own eyes before you remove that of the doctors My dear #wellspoken... |

Health / Re: NMA Vs JOHESU Vs FG Vs Patients........ Why the hatred for doctors??? by tonshipy: 8:13am On Jul 11, 2014 |
Yipeeee finally I found myself in narialand....am able to comment . my dear na long process to login to this narialand for comment ooo, e no dey like so for LIB. Back to post I hear some1 say that doctors are the highest paid professional in Nigeria, and my advice is before you come here come yarn dust, get adequate information and not exhibit ignorance. Everybody is against Doctors for going on strike for what the FG has done wrong all because of the level of ignorance in this country . You expect a doctor to give u adequate services Buh u don't want the FG to treat them well . The last I check, the doctor/patient ratio in Nigeria is 1:6000.buh in the USA, it's 1:600.plus a doctor in the states work a maximum of 8hrs daily, Buh an average doctor in naija works a minimum of 12hrs vigorously plus poor hosp condition which is frustrating . then wen d doc is on call he works 24hrs.And there are people calling doctors greedy n referring to the hippo oat.All I can say is just be a doctor for 1 day maybe you wld understand better . cuz no amount of information can make you understand. 3 Likes |
