Hello

Cashmadam:
No need to transfer any funds into your account. Provide your statements of account and proof that your employer is willing and able to sponsor the trip. The money transferred can appear like "account padding" if you are not careful.

I earn 400k after Tax and my Employer is stating the amount on the letter of Sponsorship to confirm the reason behind of the transfer of the funds into my account.

The Sponsorship funds is also coming from the Company bank account, from same account where I have been receiving my salary monthly.

My Employer is also stating the benefits of the Conference to me and to them.

It will not fly ooooo, the ECO'S no be mumu, you can only spend a lesser percentage of your salary. The question should be, how much are you earning that can make your employer send you to such a sensitive journey? Because you can't be earning like 300k in Nigeria and you expect them to believe you will return after visiting UK. Visiting visa is the most sensitive visa. You need to plan very well to avoid ban. If you have travel history, it will help.[/quote]

tony2478:
Thanks for your response. In order not to make it look like account padding,my employer will write a letter of Sponsorship to correlate the amount.

They just want to be sure that the visa is granted because the previous refusal stated that the balance in my account doesn't reflect my current financial position.

@Cashmadam,
Please if my employer should transfer the trip sponsorship fund of like 3.5m to fully cover my trip to a business conference two weeks before my biometric,I hope it will fly.

I will submit my Salary account where I have been receiving my salary for the past 6 months and also submit my employers account for the past 6 months as well.

2. In the online form which says How much are you personally spending on this trip? Can I put N1 naira, since my Employer is providing all the funds for the trip.

Please Cashmadam and other gurus respond to a brother

I know there is nothing like Conference Visa but my Visit Visa is to primarily attend a business conference,so I want to know if my Employer is fully Sponsoring my trip as a senior staff of the company.

If my Employer is fully Sponsoring and am contributing like 1 pound,if I don't have much money in my salary account.I hope it will fly.

I need a guide please.

I applied for Visit visa I was rejected, I don't understand what happened....I'm self employed. I need to know how soon I can apply again because I want to meet up with my sister that I've not seen for more than 10yrs, she is coming to the UK from America
The Visa officer is not even convince about the source of the deposits in your business account. He wants to see Invoices or Receipts which corresponds with the deposits and from which he will know what kind of business your company is into and be sure it is an active running business entity.( Sources of funds in the business account)

So aside receiving monthly salary from the company account,it is very important that you add the company Invoices at least (10) to authenticate the deposits in that company account.

My own advise on this refusal.

Sorry for your wife's refusal.I will advise you paste her refusal letter here so that the gurus can study it and profer advise/solution

Trydifferentjok:
Hello everyone,

I’m about to apply for a standard UK visitor visa for my wife. We plan on traveling together over the holidays, but my wife was refused a visa when we applied earlier this year. I already had a 2 year visa which was granted in 2022 by the time we applied for her visa.

She was refused because the clearance officer felt her monthly income (N450,000) was too little to pay for the expected cost of the trip (N800,000) even though she had about 12k USD in her personal dom accounts. This was also even though we had put that I (as her husband) would sponsor the entirety of her trip and I had enough income (N1.5M per month) and savings (25k USD) to cover the costs.

Can any visa gurus advise on the best way going forward to avoid another refusal. Please note we later applied for a France Schengen visa a few weeks after her refusal and were granted the visa so it’s quite confusing why the UK denied her.

Thanks a lot!

If it’s truly your employer sponsoring then I see no reason why you have to do collaboration on the finances . Sir, Anyway from day 1, I have not been sold on the story you telling so try convincing yourself first then the ECO second before us on nairaland. We come third.
Please it is just a question I need an answer. If it is proper not to fill in any amount in the question column that says How much are you personally planning to spend for the trip.

Thanks for your input.

giselle237:
Ofcourse there maybe other things but the refusal letter clearly stated this as reason for refusal. Sayin the sponsored person had no funds.. the sponsored person had entered the sum twice. When refusal letters are presented it is always better to air on the side of caution which is simply what I have told the poster.
While filling my form last year 2022,it was a fully Sponsored trip with 1,200 Pounds and it was also filled that I will personally be spending 1,200 Pounds for the trip, definitely making it 2,400. Please if this is wrong,I need direction my gurus.

I have wanted to ask this same question if it is a fully Sponsored trip, can the applicant just add like 400k naira as amount he intends to spend in addition to the sponsorship fund.

For Example due to the current rate,if my Employer is Fully Sponsoring with 2.6m naira, can the applicant add 400 k naira as his personal spending budget.

I am cleared about the several deposits with a proof of Fund Source.

I need clarification on the issue of this Sponsorship and how to fill it right,to avoid issues from the case workers.

I dropped my last year refusal above.

Thanks and God Bless

@giselle and other gurus.

Please is it ok that my Employer transfers the stated amount on the sponsorship letter to my account like 1 or 2 Weeks before my Biometric.

I will be submitting my account and that of my Employer as well.

Please I need your wise counsel.

either is fine.. just make sure both accounts are submitted

Thanks for your advise.I appreciate and God bless.

ShootingStar92:
You can add either the contribution statement of account from the co-operative showing your savings so far or a bank statement showing the amount leave your bank each month.

If your tenant pays rent to a different bank account then please add the statement from that bank too and then write a cover letter to explain and give context.

Recently, I completed my sister-in-law’s visit visa application and I did not she did some saving with a cooperative which was deducted from her salary each month so we explained this in the letter and added her payslip showing the deducted amount with the name of the cooperative. Her visa was granted

@Cashmadam,
Thanks for all your wise counsel on this platform.

I want to say it here that there is nothing am hiding or not telling the forum, maybe my explanation is not clear yet.

I have a job which I earn monthly salary from an Employer and they are the one sponsoring my trip for the business conference and they stated the benefits of the conference to me and to them(Employer).

Secondly,I do side business and make a monthly savings to a Co-operative Organisation (Social Club)and collect the total money at the end of each year.

Thirdly,I receive a yearly rent from my Tenant.

All I was trying to Ask or Explain is that, can I have this additional funds added to my salary account with documentary proof of the source of funds.

Please am here to learn.

Thanks for your time and God bless you all.

It appears that you are want to complicate issues for yourself for no reason.

Focus on your salary and the sponsorship from your employer. You don't need to prove you earn extra income from other sources.

@Dirolad,Cashmadam and other intelligent gurus in the house,I want to thank you all for your time to response to my questions and the advise given to me in addressing my next application.

Thanks and God Bless

dirolad:
The ECO said aside the monthly income, there are unexplained deposit. That's why Cover Note and Cover Letter including Supporting documents is needed. In your cover note and Cover letter, let the ECO know that other transfer asides salary is from so so so income and you have included so so so supporting documents to prove it's source. That way you have a say Incase it gets omitted or skipped. The ECO wasn't curious of why the company is sponsoring you but that could be the reason for the next so please digest the advise above me.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by tony2478: 12:06am On Sep 21, 2023
Please @Cashmadam I want to have oral discussion with you on this matter.

My Employer is sponsoring me to the conference.I only save some money monthly with the social club, which is money from my side business. The Social Club will pay my savings with them into my personal account at the end of the year.

I also get rent money.I am only asking if it is wise to quote this two source of funds as additional source of income and add documentary evidence.

I plan to reapply next year, meanwhile I am receiving my regular monthly salary from my Employer,Which has also been increased.

That's is all am asking.

Cashmadam:
You are complicating things for yourself. I'm getting a bit confused. Is your employer sponsoring you or are you sponsoring yourself? Kindly clarify.

This social club thing and rent will complicate issues.

My suggestion remains: Focus on building your savings, keep your salary account clean and reapply sometime next year.
