PoliticsRe: Fresh N11b Refund Is For Infrastructure, not salary: Fayose by Tonyblaze01(op): 1:23pm On Feb 13, 2018

Op could you add a link to the post?
Meanwhile I am very disappointed in this wicked form of governance by Fayose. Some weeks back he called a press conference alleging he couldn't pay backlog of salaries due to non release of funds from FG. Now the funds are released and he is making a somersault. What does he take Ekiti people for? Any leader with no respect for the followership cannot go far.
I have a soft spot for the PDP but individuals like Fayose are bad market for the party.

PoliticsFresh N11b Refund Is For Infrastructure, not salary: Fayose by Tonyblaze01(op):
Fresh N11b Refund Is For Infrastructure, Says Fayose

The Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has declared that the latest refund of N11b by Federal Government is for infrastructure.
Speaking with some reporters at the Government House in Ado, Fayose's media aide, Lere Olayinka, said although the governor sympathised with the workers over unpaid salaries, the government cannot abandon some infrastructure that are nearing completion for the next administration to take the glory.

"Salary payment is not something that a succeeding administration can ignore to pay, but it can decide to abandon uncompleted projects. That is why the completion of ongoing projects is very important and that is why Governor Fayose had decided to devote the N11b to projects completion," he explained.

He blamed the Federal Government officials for making the payment of the refund public by disclosing to some journalists in Abuja, who published the story that is now putting pressure on the government as workers had already banked on the refund for the payment of their salary arrears.

Olayinka, who explained that the earlier denial of the refund was a mistake at the time the governor was in Benue to commiserate with Agatu people over the heldsmen killings, said the governor would try his best within available resources to pay workers' salaries.
Speaking on Fayose's visit to Benue State to commiserate with the victims of herdsmen's killings, he justified why Fayose donated bigger money than Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, explaining that while Wike didnt have similar experience with Ekiti State where an Agatu man lost his life to some herdsmen, Fayose had to do more to placate the people that lost their lives in Ekiti.

He explained: "Governor Fayose needed to donate bigger money to help the people of Benue who lost their people to herdsmen in Ekiti and to also fight the herdsmen to a standstill.

"While Governor Wike gave N200m, we donated N350million because we won't allow Fulani men to wipe out a tribe that is struggling to make ends meet through farming but that are being deprived of earning a living on their own land.

"Ekiti people are happy with the infrastructure recorded in our time, especially the bridge. Even the opposition party in the state has commended our brilliant moves, and so that is why we must continue with the good work on infrastructure and we are sure that salary will be sorted out gradually by Prof. Eleka when he assumes office."

Speaking on the trouble within PDP over the choice of Eleka as the governorship candidate, Olayinka said there is no longer any crisis in the party "except for a belligerent few who are so blindfolded and will do anything to get elected even when obviously they are unsellable".

He said: "Take Adeyeye for instance, a man who can't even handle the duties of the national secretariat of the party effectively wants to be governor to be in charge of a whole state that has witnessed rapid infrastructure development.

"Can't you see the radio station he runs in Ekiti State that has lost bearing because it was created to fight the governor?
"What development did Ekiti State University record when Adeyeye was the Chairman of the Council?

"It is obvious, his managerial skills call for worry."

He downplayed the salary arrears owed Ekiti State workers, saying even though Fayose was owing workers between eight and nine months, the workers' likeness for the governor was unshakable.

"Salary payment default is not peculiar to Ekiti State and we won't offload it one night; it's a gradual process.
"Slowly and steadily, we will get it paid but not with the N11billion received a few days ago," he said.

He added that Eleka's flag off campaign will shake the state and criticised the Federal Government for always making any refund to Ekiti State a public issue to set workers against the governor over salary demand.
"The Federal Government can continue using pages of newspapers and Internet to declare every kobo they paid to us.

"It is our right and we won't be deterred in making progress in terms of infrastructure," he concluded.

PoliticsRe: Move Your Patients From State Hospital To Private Hospitals: Fayose by Tonyblaze01(op): 10:26am On Nov 29, 2017
What our so called 'friend of the masses' is saying here is that,he can't pay doctors and other workers in the state because of ongoing projects and because he wants to buy clothes for children in December.
How much are the clothes?
Are you aware that we have lost over five people in the state teaching hospital since the commencement of this strike? This is what happens when you have a governor who prioritizes physical projects ahead of saving lives because of kickbacks.
To make matters worse, Chief Apesin, as he's called by some, said "whoever have patients in state hospital should move them to private hospital . What about those that have sick people in d hospital but have not been paid salary for the past six month or a pensioner in the hospital that hasn't been paid in the last 11months ? how does he expect them to afford private hospitals at this point in time ?
Don't forget that this same governor who can't pay salaries bought jeeps for former governors who did not even ask for it.
May God handle his life the same way he handles Ekiti's.
PoliticsMove Your Patients From State Hospital To Private Hospitals: Fayose by Tonyblaze01(op):
PRESS RELEASE
I am compelled to speak to Ekiti people concerning the strike action embarked upon by the resident doctors of Ekiti-State Teaching Hospital. I want to say expressly that I don't have the kind of money the Doctors are asking for. In other words, meeting their conditions at this time is very difficult for me. The finances of the state is not too robust at this period to meet the demands of the Doctors. I have appealed to the Doctors and I am again using this opportunity to appeal to them. We have many ongoing projects which I must at all costs complete before I leave office next year. I have promised Ekiti people there will be no carry over on our projects. I cannot use all the money accrued to the state to pay workers salaries or pensioners. There are other people in the state and it is our duty to make sure the money goes to everybody. By December this year, I will be celebrating with our children, they are also important stakeholders in the state.
Whoever have patients at the teaching hospital, please don't allow them to die there, move them to private hospitals across the state. The Federal Medical Centre Ido is also there. I want to assure Ekiti people that I will continue to serve them based on the available resources to the state. This is a difficult time and we must all work together to sustain the good works of this Government.
Within the next few weeks, we shall take a precise action concerning the strike action of the Doctors.
Thank you all, God bless.
Gov. Ayodele Fayose.

The major winner of these awards is Drake, why r Nigerians rejoicing more than the celebrants? A song in which all he added was a "background vocal" (with his voice relegated). Let him win a Billboard award for his own song, maybe "come closer". Or perhaps, if he can bring the awards to Nigeria, I'll believe he indeed won them.

We Igbos support Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose because Fayose is greater than all Igbo men both dead and alive. How I wish Fayose can rule we Igbos in Igboland the same way he is ruling Ekiti state.

Fayose is greater than ojukwu
Fayose is greater than nnamdi azikiwe
Fayose is greater than chinua achebe
Fayose is greater than nnamdi kanu
trust me! Fayose is exactly what y'all deserve. Ekiti people will freely hand him over to you without a second thought.
