For households, 100L to 200L with 0.55kw electric motor is the first choice since diesel generators can power it without any issues.
For construction site, concrete consumption capacity is much bigger, so we have to choose diesel engine powered heavy duty type concrete mixer with 500L,600L drum size because one bag of 25kg cement is needed for mixing. Some shops might sell 400L by lying that 400L can also mix one bag of cement, which can not be realized or testified.

Now there are many names for portable concrete mixers on construction site.
Basically we divide by drum capacity from 350L, 400L, 500L to 600L. Even bigger size mixers will need hopper to load material.
For different customers, there will be different models for the same capacity. Such as SKD packing, CKP packing. This will bring be impact on container loading quantity.
Such as one 40'HQ container can load 40units 500L tilting drum concrete mixers(TDCM125) in CKD packing but only 26units in SKD packing.
Some guys like to name this type mixers by mixing how many bags cement per time. But it is not accurate or serious because of the drum tilting degree.. I can call 600L tilting drum concrete mixers(TDCM175) one bag cement mixer but it can mix two bags if the discharge mouth stands up..

Now these small drum mixers seem to be replaced by professional concrete mixing plant and concrete mixer truck, we will see how long the suppliers in this field can survive..

Hi everyone, this is jack from Ironman machinery, with construction factory experience in Lagos before. Like concrete mixer, concrete block machine, concrete batching plant.
Today i want to introduce two types popular block machine in Nigeria market and tell the advantages/disadvantages of each.

The first model is single block machine EBM1 model. (BM01)
One time only producing 1pcs hollow block. Such as 9", 6".
It can also produce interlocking blocks, one mould can make 2-3pcs. Sample shape including Y shape, double T shape and waving shape.
This machine is driven by air cool diesel HP170F for vibration. Engine is installed inside machine.
One day 200-800pcs blocks capacity.
You will need pallet to carry blocks. Pallet can be imported by bamboo material 12mm or made locally by wood 20mm at least.

As many friends bought this machine, i will roughly introduce the operating procedures as follows:
1. Raise the lower mould, put pallet on bottom before releasing.
2. Raise the upper and load mixture and vibrate, recycle until mixture is full.
3. Release the upper mould, do vibration, lift both upper and lower mould and lock them.
4. Take the pallet of blocks out by hands.

U will see from the introduction that the operating is very simple.
Maintenance is also simple by exchanging some easily broken parts.

Nigeria is always big market for construction for business, i am always confident of this market although now suffers a lot problem. Just start from small block business is not a bad idea to warm up the market.
