ofime123: maybe on Monday I will just open euro account and make the payment I think that will work better That's even where the problem lies. With d present policy, even if you open Euro account, its as good as useless. Why? Because foreign currency is no longer collected across the counter. The implication is that you cannot deposit into the account while you are in the country except someone does that for you from a foreign country. But am thinking if you open it, like Uzhi suggested, you can make deposit into the account say from Benin Republic, Cotonou or Ghana. Another option is if you have anyone in euro who can send in money to the account. But get to the bank and make convincing findings. |

ofime123: I ask someone in access bank yesterday a banker and he said is possible to make transfer if u have a dom account, deadline of my application fee is 22 of January I hope am able to make the payment on Monday. have anyone make payment already should please share with us pls. My suggestion sir, is that you speak to as many people as you can- family friends, church, mosque etc ; asking them if they operate or have anyone operating Euro dorm account. if it were to be dollar, it would have been relatively easy. you know wat i did on weds and thur? Of cos those in charge of money transfer already knew my situation; so, I just sat around in the banking hall, waiting to see if anyone would come cash money from his dorm account. Unfortunately, the few people that came around operate dollar account. But no hope lost sha |

jowa16: Hello uzhi nd guru, pls am fillin the dreamapply form am i to upload the docs b4 submitin nd shld i pay the appli fee now or later nd am going to notarize d doc b4 uploadin? You don't have to notarize your documents before uploading them. you will only notarize wen you are required to send your documents by post. My brother its better you look for a way of paying as soon as you can ooo. CBN policy is really causing Headache though it might change anyway. But who knows when? I hope you also know that your application will be put on hold until you payment is confirmed. |

sobastical: Just go ikeja branch or any well I wouldn't know if it can still be done there but I was at gt and Zenith bank (Ibadan) today and was told the same thing. That as a result of the CBN policy,it becomes even difficult for holders of domiciliary account to transfer fund for payment (except for those who have enough fund in that account already). Anyone there who has payed the application fee? How did you do the payment? |

ireke: Hello Topbrooks. I believe in "failure analysis" and I wonder if you can oblige me with the answers to the following questions. others may even benefit from your answers.
1. in your opinion, what is/are the causes of the failure of your previous attempt? for example someone mentioned staffing earlier 2. Mention some ideas that you have seen here that you definitely missed out in your previous attempt. 3. What are the things the OP mentioned here that you did but did not work well for you? 4. Mention one thing that you definitely will not repeat if you try again.
Thanks.
Farmer Jasper (You deserve a title to your name o. Afterall, other professions dey add title and we love titles in Nigeria). Words will fail me to express my opinion about you. let me just say that you are one of the reasons that make me believe that there is hope for Nigeria. Good Questions. Most of these things I've discussed with Soloxam. You Know then I didn't know there was a platform like this. Straight to your questions 1. Disease Infection. That was the major cause. They started growing well and I was rejoicing thinking my 1 acre Cucumber Farm will make me thousands but suddenly the leaves started turning brownish yellow and to make matter worse, my supposed ' Guru' from NIHORT wrongly 'diagnosed' it. Though one of them promised to come around and physically check things in the farm but never did. I battled with it and managed to harvest a very small quantity. Soloxam later said I tried to have had little harvest. It was Downy Mildew caused by Fungi I should also have started small and not that big anyway. I also had a little issue with those guys who worked for me, they also played their part in destroying some of my plants 2. So much Ideas. * Professional and competent advise from practicing farmers * I didn't mulch in the first attempt. Now I know about mulching. You know I also had to battle weed after they began to die * I didn't Stalk in the first attempt thinking it will cost me more(capital intensive) but I Know now that its worth it, of cause for several obvious reasons 3. I cant really remember any. I never came across this thread until after the all thing 4. As a matter of fact, am trying again, have bounced back but will be using just a plot on another piece of land( Trying to minimize risk-you know now). I will not use Ashley seed variety again. I'll be getting seeds from Soloxam. I'll also be going fully organic no more NPK Hope this helps |

Lesgupnigeria: You dont need to have a farm. Register as a farmer and with a government recognised association and you are good to go. You dont need any proposal.
NOTE: If you are applying as an individual farmer, you will.need a proposal and some collateral. well done for the good works. have been silent but really benefited from your various post. I would like to ask if you can kindly list out or recommend any of those farmers associations you mentioned. thanks |
