Regina Daniels has in a 7 minute video cleared the air amidst the marital struggled with her love (or ex husband) New Nwoko.

She had to made this clarification because of the narrative that her mother forced her into marrying Ned, something she claimed was quite the opposite because her family kicked against her relationship (and decision of wanting to marry Ned Nwoko).

She further said that her family's initial refusal to consent to the marriage made her want to commit suicide.

Addressing the marital situation with her husband, she said she respects and care about Ned Nwoko of till now, hinting at a possible reunion as according to her, she loves whomever she respects and care about.

The actress, who has been at the centre of a marriage crisis that has played out publicly over the last week, lashed out at the senator’s insistence that she enter rehab.

Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, has accused her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, of masterminding the arrest of her elder brother and sister to coerce her into returning home and submitting to a rehabilitation programme.

“Someone pls help me! I feel like I’m losing my mind,” Regina wrote in a string of emotional Instagram stories that were widely shared online on Monday evening.

She continued: “I never thought I would do this but my big brother and big sister have been arrested, my baby sister might be arrested soon as well until I return and according to him, return to rehab.”

The actress, who has been at the centre of a marriage crisis that has played out publicly over the last week, lashed out at the senator’s insistence that she enter rehab.

“Don’t even get me started on telling the world what you did to me with your stupid rehab talk! You said I’m a drug addict… What other name can you call me? A prostitute? But I will speak on that one day and tell the world of your involvement with everything!”

Regina’s posts painted a picture of personal despair and humiliation

“I’m trying, I’m really trying to be the bigger person by not saying or doing anything… Leave my family alone Ned! And leave me alone too! It is obvious it’s war! And a big shame that the beautiful but short legacy we built is about to be ridiculed by the whole world.”

She also appealed to followers for sympathy, describing herself as “a hard girl” reduced to tears: “This is so freaking embarrassing! Hard girl like me crying.”

Confirming Regina’s claim, her elder brother, who posts as Sir.Sammywest on Instagram, wrote on his story: “Dem say dem na Ned send dem. Currently at Ogombo station,” signalling that the siblings were in police custody at the Ogombo police station.

While reacting to the arrest of her children, a visible angry Rita Daniels revealed that Ned Nwoko was struggling to win his senatorial election before Regina came into his life, further stating that Regina Daniels funded his campaign with $50k and boosted his chances with her celebrity status.

It seems both of them have beef with each other as the Ooni of Ife passed the microphone to the Alaafin of Oyo with his left hand.

In response the Alaafin instructed his aide to wrap the mic with handkerchief before receiving it.

A United States-based Nigerian lawyer, Owolabi Salis, has been celebrated for making history as the first Nigerian to travel to space.

Salis was part of the 13th human spaceflight and the 33rd mission of the New Shepard program, operated by Blue Origin.

Senior pastor of House on the rock church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin was the subject of a trending video in which he appeared to brandish what looked like a gun at a content creator "YL_luxury".

He received a lot of backlash from all quarters and he dropped and official statement saying that he was not holding a gun.

Two OAU Students Feared Arrested After Protesting Wike’s Visit

Oladepo Joshua and Kelechi Ejike, two students of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, protested Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike’s visit to the campus on Thursday but other students fear they were arrested after security removed them from Oduduwa Hall.

While there are concerns that Joshua and Ejike may have been arrested because their whereabouts have been unknown since they were escorted out of the hall around 2 pm, the school management said it was not aware of any arrest.

Videos obtained by FIJ show the two students holding placards inside the Oduduwa Hall, where OAU hosted Wike as the presenter for the school’s 2025 Distinguished Personality Lecture.

Chanting phrases like “Compensations for the houses you demolished!” and “Minister Wike!”, it was obvious that the protesting students opposed the demolition of homes in Abuja, which the Minister spearheaded.

Between late 2024 and 2025, Wike approved the demolition of properties deemed illegal in the FCT. This move drew widespread public criticism, with many Nigerians calling for compensation for the demolished structures.

In the videos FIJ saw, some men approached Joshua and Ejike and manhandled them while confronting them for protesting inside the hall.

Sources expressed concern that the students may have been arrested.

“We are concerned that a joint task force, including police, DSS and the minister’s security team, might have arrested them because no one knows their whereabouts right now,” a witness, who does not want to be named, told FIJ.

When FIJ called Abiodun Olanrewaju, OAU’s public relations officer, he said the students were not arrested but were escorted out of the hall for their own safety.

“I am not aware of any arrest, but I am aware of a rescue. I am aware that two students protested and some other students wanted to rough-handle them,” Olanrewaju disclosed.

“I am aware that the security operatives quickly intervened, took the two students outside the hall. I don’t know what else transpired because I was the one who anchored the programme. Some of their colleagues had already moved to them, wanting to beat them up. We did not want anything nasty to happen, so the security operatives escorted the two students out.

“It’s a case of a microscopic minority, two students, wanting to disrupt the programme that the majority of the students were interested in. So, when the other students stood up, security operatives had to rescue them and escort them out.”

The Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, on Wednesday, broke into tears as he apologised for the errors in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.

“I apologise for the trauma caused the candidates,” Oloyede said tearfully during a press conference in Abuja.

Recall that out of 1.9 million candidates who sat the UTME, over 1.5 million reportedly scored below 200 out of the maximum 400 marks.

This suggested that over 75 per cent of all candidates scored below 200.

Meanwhile, some affected candidates threatened to initiate a lawsuit against JAMB.
