He said that the suspects aged 34, 35 and 24 hail from Ekpa village in Mokwa. “I invited you here to see three suspects that we arrested on the ground of possession of a human head. “After we arrested them, they confessed to us that they own the human head,’’ he said. Ayuba said the suspects were arrested on Thursday while negotiating the sale of the head in Mokwa. “Our personnel pretended to be bargaining with them on how much to pay before they were arrested,’’ he said. The NSCDC boss said that the suspects had made confessional statements in writing, adding that they would be handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution. Advertisement The principal suspect told journalists that his brother had invited him to his house to see the human head and assist in getting a buyer. “I looked for a buyer for five months. So when I approached one Isah to buy the head he agreed and said that he has a buyer in Mokwa. “When the buyer came we started negotiating the price with him and it was in that process that we were arrested,’’ he said. Another suspect claimed that the head belonged to a decomposing female corpse which was found during a hunting expedition. He said that he and another accomplice decided to cut off the head and sell it to make money. “Two of us decided in the bush that we will sell the head to scientists and make money,’’ he said. http://www.naijatopstory.com/2016/07/nscdc-arrest-3-with-human-head-in-niger.html

There are certain 'delicacies' that I will never be caught dead eating, and the ones you're about seeing are some of them. I mean, really!! The irony is that some of them are considered delicacies in Nigeria. Which have you eaten, and which ones will dare attempt to eat? Go on the journey with me as we explore five of the creepiest insects Nigerians snack on Locust. I recall during my service year, the villagers in my PPA were mad about locusts. Catch 'em, salt, 'em, fry 'em and eat with garri Ijebu. *puke* Crickets My grandma was a lover of crickets, but thankfully that love did not extend to her grand kids Palm Weevil Larva Winged Termites The villagers in my aforementioned PPA were also termite crazy. Ghanaian President, John Mahama, has declared that the activities of militant group, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), in Nigeria is causing power generation problems for his country, leading to outages in many parts, THE WILL reports. Mahama revealed that delays in the delivery of crude ordered last month from Nigeria to power thermal plants in Ghana has caused a massive shortfall in electricity production. The added that he had asked the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company to start storing at least one month of light crude oil supplied for Ghana so reduce the effects in the event of any problem at the supply end in Nigeria. “We have recently suffered some generational problems. I held a stakeholders’ meeting with all those involved in the power sector. Because of sabotage in Nigeria on the terminals, crude oil that we ordered last month has not arrived; and so, it has created some generational problem for us,” he revealed. “So, I will crave your indulgence and urge all of you to understand. We are not declaring load shedding, I believe things will be normalised, but we are taking steps every day to ensure that Ghana has security when it comes to power. “Recently, there have been some issues with electricity tariffs; the Electricity Company of Ghana has done some work on it. “They have done a realignment of their billing system and I believe that people can begin to feel some relief in terms of the bills that they were paying. The bills have been made more transparent so that you can tell with every unit you buy, how much the value of the unit is.” http://www.naijatopstory.com/2016/07/ghanaian-president-blames-niger-delta.html
