Billyonaire: Blackholes are gravitational field of galaxies whose total mass has been converted to energy. Energy remnant of planets/space/time. Although every galaxy is a portal to other universes, there is need to take away the mystic and just explain simple terms. Black holes are really not holes, because there is no hole, just in nomenclature. Just the energy remnants of planets that have run out of steam. In billions of years, our galaxy will become blackhole too. Everything has an end.Hello genius, Black Holes are created from Stars, (i.e our sun ) or much bigger than our average sun, that ran out of fusionable particles required to balance the gravitational pull/force of that star. P.S. Remember our sun is in the category of the dwarfs? |
PrivateEye: Not quite ready for 'antimatter are we?Antimatter is a stale info.. Next please |
Sombrerogalaxy: Exciting to see interest in astronomy on nairaland. I'll try to explain the concept without too much resort to technical terms :-) Imagine you have a region in space where gravitational force is infinitely strong such that nothing can escape, not even light, yes that is a black hole. So, in principle, if you sufficiently compress mass till its physical size is small enough, you should end up with a black hole. When we study astronomical bodies, much of the information we get is from absorption or emission of photons, but in the case of blackholes, we usually infer their presence from dynamics around them or through high energy processes. Imagine if all the mass of the Sun were sufficiently compressed to a region of the order of a few kms, crazy physics start to happen. As a matter of fact, laws of physics start to break down! You rightly hit the point i want smart peeps to hit. Eventhough gravitational force is regarded as one of the weak force but even planets dont want to be near a point Black Holes is active (hypothetically speaking). A region where even the fastest object or wave(Light) cannot escape, can not definately be a portal to other parts of the Universe, even though i wouldn't mind if someone offers to be the guinea pig, what i believe is not a trace of his cells will be seen from the crushing effect of the exponentially increasing gravitational force. |
@OP, have you read the book " Finding of the Third Eye" by Vera Stanley Alder? It sheds more light on your subject |

A guy was blindly saying that he can never be brain washed, that how can a sane person decides that he/she wants to be a candidate of suicide bombing, that they are fools to have stoop so low, then i asked the guy a question, Who bombed the World Trade Center and attacted the Pentagon on the 11th of September 2001, was it orchestrated by Osama Bin Laden of Al Qaeda or was it orchestrated by the George W. Bush administration? What was the motive behind the attack and for whose benefit? Your response will determine whether you have been brainwashed. |
Like the question, If today was to be your last day alive, what would be your reactions? Would you be grateful for the life lived, felt fulfilled or unfulfilled? Would you be delighted to meet your Maker or request for more Time? |
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested one Tolani Ajayi, 21, for allegedly killing his father, Mr. Charles Ajayi(SAN), at the Redemption Camp, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in the early hours of July 3. Police Public Relations Officer in the command, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Sunday said the body of Ajayi, 60,was recovered in a bush at Canaan Land Street, RCCG Camp, in a box where the body was kept after the Senior Advocate of Nigeria was killed by his son. The suspect, said to be a 300-Level student of the Department of History and International Relations of Redeemer University, located at the Redemption Camp, Mowe in Ogun State, was picked up by the police in his late father’s residence at about 5.30pm on Thursday after what the police described as preliminary findings. “The DPO, Redemption Camp, SP Olaiya Martins, had led a team of detectives and some members of the community, who noticed the strange attitude of the suspect while dumping a box, to the point, where the body of the late SAN was dumped. “They thereafter traced the ground marks of the dragged box from where the suspect dumped the dad’s corpse to the house of the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, where they met the suspect in a relaxed mood. Upon interrogation, the suspect earlier lied that his dad had gone on evangelism before he eventually confessed to the crime when he was taken to the Redemption Camp Divisional Headquarters. “He stated further that the problem arose when his father confronted him for not responding to all the prayer points he(the deceased) was calling, claiming that the father slapped him. He said he went ‘mad’ and picked up a knife from the kitchen to stab him(father) and later a cutlass to cut his throat.” http://newswirengr.com/2014/07/06/police-arrest-son-for-killing-father-in-redemption-camp/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
In another news, members of the boko haram sect struck and attack 3 villages in Lagos state, Southwest nigeria two days ago. The information gathered from Nigeria former capital was that a member of the sect ordered to carryout an attact in a yet to identify location suddenly crossed a BRT lane and was knocked down by a BRT bus. Sources close to the incident mentioned that before a twinkle of an eye, several members of the Boko Haram suddenly appeared at the scene like weeds, wearing camouflage of the Nigerian Army, armed with AK47, AK50 and state of the art blala and koboko with guided missiles. Without wasting time, they started terrorising the villages of Palmgroove, Obanikoro, beating mercilessly the passersby and throwing people out of the buses. An eyewithness recounted his ordeal in the hands of the sect members saying 'my fone was snatched at gun point for receiving a call at the scene of incident'. Several BRT buses were burnt, citizens were beaten and peace sent out of those villages. For more story on the headlne, Boko Haram struck Lagos, goggle at this page.
