Politics › Shame: Osun State Govt. Pays Half Payement For November Pension Salary by TopsyKrete(op): 4:01pm On Jun 30, 2015 |
With all the clamour payment of salaries for over seven months, 8 months for the pensioniers, the state govt. of Osun ridiculusly paid half of November's salary for pension!!!
What do you expect people that have laboured the whole of their lives for the state to do with half pension payment? |
Politics › Re: Gaddafi's Last Speech by TopsyKrete: 11:01pm On Jun 29, 2015 |
khukhi: The game of politics is a dirty one...The west has its benefits but the arab spring has done more problems than solutions. This article inspired me to read up on the Gaddafi and my opinion of the man indicates how I knew so little about him only due to what the media fed me.
Facts about Libya under Muammar Gaddafi • There was no electricity bills in Libya; electricity is free … for all its citizens. • There was no interest on loans, banks in Libya are state-owned and loans given to all its citizens at 0% interest by law. • If a Libyan is unable to find employment after graduation, the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found. • Should Libyans want to take up a farming career, they receive farm land, a house, equipment, seed and livestock to kick start their farms –this was all for free. • Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man-Made River project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country. • A home was considered a human right in Libya. (In Qaddafi’s Green Book it states: “The house is a basic need of both the individual and the family, therefore it should not be owned by others.”) • All newlyweds in Libya would receive 60,000 Dinar (US$ 50,000 ) by the government to buy their first apartment so to help start a family. • A portion of Libyan oil sales is or was credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens. • A mother who gives birth to a child would receive US $5,000. • When a Libyan buys a car, the government would subsidizes 50% of the price. • The price of petrol in Libya was $0.14 per liter. • For $ 0.15, a Libyan local could purchase 40 loaves of bread. • Education and medical treatments was all free in Libya. Libya can boast one of the finest health care systems in the Arab and African World. All people have access to doctors, hospitals, clinics and medicines, completely free of charge. • If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they need in Libya, the government would fund them to go abroad for it – not only free but they get US $2,300/month accommodation and car allowance. • 25% of Libyans have a university degree. Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans were literate. Today the figure is 87%. • Libya had no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion – though much of this is now frozen globally.

One Piece Manga Sets Guinness World Record for Copies Printed for Comic by Single Author
The official website for Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga announced on Monday in Japan that the manga has set a Guinness World Record for "The most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author." As of the end of December 2014, the manga has 320,866,000 copies printed worldwide.
Oda commented on the award through a written statement: "Thank you for this certification for the Guinness World Record. Manga is an amusing way to pass time, but when I receive reports that say 'through One Piece I made friends,' or 'through One Piece I found my sweetheart,' I am really happy." He continued by saying, "I feel like this record number has the possibility to bring the same number of people together. I will not forget my predecessors in the manga world, the colleagues whom I work with, and my readers, and from now on I want to continue to draw a work that will not shame this record."
A ceremony was held in Tokyo on Monday to present the award. Oda was not in attendance, but Weekly Shonen Jump editor Yoshihisa Heishi attended on his behalf.
Oda launched One Piece in 1997, and the manga has been published in more than 30 countries. Shueisha released the manga's 77th volume with an initial print run of 3.8 million copies on April 3.
Weekly Shonen Jump revealed on Monday in Japan that One Piece will have big news in the 29th issue of the magazine, which ships on June 22.

UchihaItachi: One Piece is just too deep, from the secrets of the ponelglyphys, the void history, the ancient weapons, the revolution army, the "will of D", so many things you can't place your fingers around yet they're all somehow connected...mere looking at it you would think it's just about Luffy wanting to become the king of pirates. Oda is a "tensai" Bro, your Sharingan is fully awakened |
