8. Steven and Elaine Wynn.

Cost: $850 million

In March 2010, Las Vegas casino mogul Steve Wynn filed for divorce from wife Elaine and had to pay an estimated $741 million in Wynn Resorts stock.

This is actually the couples second divorce, as they were married before from 1963 – 1986.
They are both cofounders of the casino giant Wynn Resorts.

After Steve stepped down as CEO and chairman in February 2018 amid sexual harassment allegations that he has denied, he sold all his shares.

That settlement dictated that Elaine, a Wynn Resorts board member since 2002, receive 11 million shares, then worth an estimated $795 million.

Steve also sold around $114 million in stock that year. Most went to Elaine as part of the deal.

She then sued Wynn Resorts in 2012 to sell part of her 9% stake and was kicked off the board three years later amid an ugly proxy battle.

6. Harold Hamm and Sue Ann Arnall.

Cost: $975 Million.

In 2012, CEO Harold Hamm and wife Sue Ann Hamm filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage.

The oilman had an estimated $11 billion Networth prior to the filing.

After three years of bitter court proceedings, oil tycoon Harold in 2015 tried to finally end his 26-year marriage with Sue Ann (no prenup) by
writing her a check in the amount of $974 Million.

She deposited the cheque, but then changed her mind, decided she wanted more and filed an appeal seeking a bigger share of the $13.7 billion fortune tied to Hamm’s 75% ownership in publicly traded Continental Resources.

In April 2015 the Oklahoma Supreme Court ended the saga, granting Harold’s motion to dismiss her appeal, reasoning from precedent that Sue Ann had agreed to the first settlement by signing and depositing the check.

Sue Ann subsequently funded a political action committee that succeeded in its effort to unseat the judge who presided over the divorce.

The successful Oil Magnate handed over a whopping $974.8 million cheque to settle the divorce. At the time, that was roughly 5% of his total net worth.

It was reported that Sue did not cash the cheque until 2015, as her legal team were pursuing more money from her ex-husband.

toptennaija:
Ending a marriage is hard, and often takes months or years to finalise.
Add to that, the division of assets and finances, and both parties are in for a real nightmare!
We’ve put together a list of some of the most publicised and expensive divorces on the planet!
So, without further ado, here’s a list of the 10 most expensive divorces in the world.

1. Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos

Settlement amount: As high as $70 billion.

The world’s richest man, Jeff Bezos, and his wife announced they are parting ways after 25 years of marriage.

The couple, who wed one year before amazon was founded, reportedly did not have a prenuptial agreement.
The couple met while both were working at the hedge fund D.E. Shaw in New York. After they moved to Seattle, MacKenzie helped Jeff get Amazon off the ground.

On April 4, they announced the terms of their divorce, which will likely become official over the summer: She will receive about 4% of Amazon’s
outstanding shares, now worth over $35 billion.

Jeff will hold on to all of the rocket company Blue Origin and the Washington Post.

MacKenzie is in the top 5 world’s third-richest woman list due to this settlement.

This eventual settlement will place them at the top of the pack for expensive splits.

Even if Bezos, like Harold Hamm,
was ordered to pay his ex-wife just 5 percent of his total net worth, that would land her as much as $6.8 billion.

5.Gamboru To Cameroun Border Route.

The trans-saharan road which connects northeastern nigeria to neighbouring cameroon is a market town in Borno State, northeast Nigeria, near the Cameroon border.
It is the administrative centre of Ngala local government area.

Between May 4 - 9, 2014, Boko Haram attacked the border town and killed at least 300 civilians.
It was revealed that the insurgents, armed with RPG'S, blew up the only bridge linking Gamboru with the rest of the country and also
the immigration outposts of both Cameroon and Nigeria was destroyed.

The only option left for people travelling to and from Gamboru is to go through a 900km 360 drive near Bama Local Government Area of the state into Cameroun and later enter Gamboru from another Camerounian village.

Those who dare to maneveur the destroyed road are always in risk of getting shot or kidnapped by the terrorists who would make example of them.

What other roads do you think deserve to be on this list, lets hear your opinions in the comment box and don't forget to subscribe to our channel for more videos.

4.Luxor Al Hurghada Road. Egypt.

Driving in the night might be a little scary. what if its not only the road thats trying to kill you? but everything on and around it.

The 188 mile long Luxor Al Hurghada Road which connects the southern egypt city of luxor to hurghada is a beautiful stretch of highway. but don't looseguard, when night falls accidents are dime a dozen due to everryone driving with their lights off.
They do this because bandits and terrorists around the area would notice the car lights and shoot at the driver.

The road normally would take five hours but its a chilling five hours journey with your heart in your mouths.

Because if you drive with your lights off, you're putting yurself and others at risk, but if you dont. terrorists might take a shot at you and you might end up dead or wounded anyway.

The violent attacks along this road are dangerous enough by themselves. And if the bandits don’t get you, the terrorists probably will.

On 17 November 1997, there were 62 German tourists shot and killed. But not to scare you, the road is much safer to drive on than before as the
government has stepped up security in the area.

Africa is not a country. Its a continent. a very large one.

And there are a lot of road networks and transnational highways which connects one country to the other.

While on some roads, you'll have the best driving experience of your life. and on the other, you'll have an experience which you won't forget easily.

But before we consider this topmost-list, it might be handy to ponder what makes these roads dangerous and why we would be willing to agree that a cited road is indeed especially treacherous and worthy of keeping a steel wise grip on the steering wheel.

Is it the fear of wild animals snatching you from your car? or terrorists who want to kill and extort you?

Or tiny mountaineous roads, which rocks could slide on unexpectedly?.

Lets take a look at the Five Most Dangerous Roads In Africa.

1. Kismayo to Bardera City Road. Somalia

Located between the al-Shabaab stronghold of Kismayo town between the Lower Jubba and gedo region. is unofficially one of the most dangerous roads in Africa.
The 518 kilometer road between the two cities would normally take ten hours on a standard paved highway, but in Somalia, it takes three days and thats during the dry season.

The tiny one laned Road has narrow and steep passages, and uneven earth which confront travelers at every turn, which causes accidents sometimes blocking the road.

Some areas of the road are so steep and upaved that the drivdriver has to tell the passenger to exit the vehicle. Then the driver maneuvers the car up or down the steep route.
Sometimes the cars flip over, especially when the vehicle is too heavy or the car enters a deep pot hole.

During the rainy seasons much of the road is completely inaccessible or very hazardous.
There are no less than 50 illegal checkpoints manned by local bandits, and al-Shabaab miltiants which control vast swaths of the region.
waiting to extort or rob you.

As if the treachrous road militants weren't enough, travelers must also deal with wild animals on the route, particularly lions, who have attacked the passengers stopped along the road or even while transiting in open vehicles.

Some of the vehicles used are not buses but are cars that have no cover on top. People fear the lions may jump and take away people if the car
is moving at a slow speed as have happened many times before.

Some local drivers now equip themself with guns not to fight the local militants on the way but to protect themselves from wild animals.

2.
M13 Highway South Africa.

The M13, also called the tyger valley, is a metropolitan route in the KwaZulu-Natal province of South Africa.

The route starts in the Durban Central Business District.
This beautiful paved highway gives drivers a nice experience, until After Pinetown, the route then goes up Field's Hill.

A 3km one and half gradient road. This is where the horror comes alive.
This section is notorious for heavy vehicle accidents that can close an entire carriageway of the road.

With steep turns and curves on the hilly road, the speed limit on this road should be less than 30 km/h but accidents are unpredictable.

The road was famous in 2013, after an articulated truck drove through a red light at high speed, killing 24 people and injuring at least 80.

The truck which brakes had failed, was descending down the hill and approaching an intersection.

Several vehicles (including taxis full of home-bound commuters) began advancing and were struck side-on. moments laters, the truck speeding down Fields Hill Rammed into them.

The driver maintained that the brakes had failed, as it descended the notorious hill.

During rainy seasons, the roads are closed, due to mudslides and huge rocks that fall from the mountainside as a result of the wet conditions in the city.

3.The Kwahu To Nkawkaw Descent Ghana.

The Kwahu Mountain Route.
Ghana.

This road would make you feel like you're on the hill riders show.

The Kwahu Mountain is a popular site for paragliders.

But Don't let the stunning views distract you though, as there is only a low concrete barrier between you and the steep mountain drop.

The narrow road, was constructed by the gannian government to ease passing through. Imagine how it was before
the road was paved.

The road's sharp bends and blind corners that cling to the cliff side make it as deadly as it is beautiful.

As one bad decision on the wheels could send you dropping down the mountain. Nevertheless, people still drive on this road on a daily basis.

Nevertheless, people still drive on this road on a daily basis.

African Celebrities Who Disappeared Mysteriously.

what does it feel like when a whole celebrity disappears?. disappear like not to be found anymore?.

Theophilus Tagoe, also known as Castro de destroyer was a famous Ghana hiplife recording artist and musician.

It all happened on Sunday, July 6, 2014, when Castro was on VACATION with his long-time friend, and captain of the ghana national football team, Asamoah Giyan, whom they had even recorded a hit song with.

They were having a good time at a holiday destination in the Volta Estuary at Ada, Ghana.
Castro was also in the company of a lady friend, Miss Janet Bandu.
According to Giyan, this was the first time they visited Aqua Safari. The relaxation spot was full of amazing things to do, and the group chose to go for a Jet ski.
However, Castro did not get an opportunity to partake in the first ride.
And that is how he developed a tremendous interest in going for a thrill-seeking jet ski ride after learning of his friend's fun moments on the water.

Castro picked Janet and without wearing life jackets, they both climbed on the jet ski and sped off into the depths of the water body, never to be spotted again.

It was only after owners of the jet skis started complaining that the group began to panic. Pandemonium ensued as people started to search for the entertainer,
others joining in later. However, Castro and his lady were never found anywhere in the water during that moment.

And to this day, It is a mystery what happened after Castro left the shore.
Some reports state that Castro drowned in an attempt to rescue his girlfriend who had fallen off a jet ski.

and In an attempt to rescue her, he and the girl drowned together.

During the preliminary search on that fateful day, the jet ski that he used to explore the water was
recovered.

Despite an intensive search by the police, and some group of divers, his body had not been recovered by the end of the day. Until today, nothing has ever been found.

Although it has been long after Castro's disappearance, some fans and other musicians are still hopeful.

The evidence of locating the jet ski they used
to venture into the estuary gives sufficient evidence to suggest they drowned.

The only missing link that has puzzled everyone until today is the disappearance of their bodies.
There have been reports that Castro was spotted in Togo and australia, among many other crazy theories.

Although many have been looking forward to when Castro returns.

Castro’s disappearance sparked rumours among the populace that Giyan had killed him for ritual purposes. However, through a press release by his family's lawyer Giyan refuted the allegations.

Some netizens are also saying the lady might be a "maami water" who took castro to the great beyond underwater.

According to Ghana's laws, Castro will be declared dead in 2021 if he does not appear.
As music lovers await for Castro to be confirmed dead, they shall continue to pray for his ‘unforeseen and unimaginable’ return.

With a military budget of 429 billion Naira, the nigerian army, which is the fourth strongest in africa boasts of some highly sophisticated weapons. As a weapon producing nation, the three branches of the military have been more advanced over the years.

with the fight against insurgency in the north-east and the war against militancy and piracy in the south, Weapons of war have gotten more sophisticated as technology and research is paving the way for the development of next generation military weaponry.

covering the arrays of vehicles and warships, including semi-sonic fighter jets armed with elite missiles that could wipe something off the face of earth, It could be mind boggling to see how far we've come from the days of bucket bombs and procurement of "fairly used" weapons.

Here are the 6 most sophisticated weapons used by the nigerian army.

1. RM-70 multiple rocket launcher
The RM-70 is a 122mm Multiple launch Rocket System.
Typically mounted on the back of a Tatra 8-13 Class Heavy Truck, with a central tyre pressure regulation system to allow its adaptation to any environment.
It is loaded with fourty, 122millimeters rockets, which can fire both individual rounds and in volleys. That's firing all the 40 rockets all together.
The main feature of the RM-70 is its rapid reload system. Once all 40 122-mm stabilised rockets have been fired, the launcher barrels can be aligned with a magazine pack of a further 40 rockets that are then mechanically inserted into the empty barrels.
enabling the RM-70 to deliver two rapid, destructive payloads, each complete payloads lasting a total of between 18 to 22 seconds.
The RM-70 high explosive fragmentation shells can cover a large area up to 3 hectares in one volley.
The resulting fire is a massive robust destruction with almost 256 kg of explosives used in just one volley of 40 rockets.
This is equivalent to the f-7 Fighter jet dropping 5 unguided Bombs simultaneously.
The rockets used are either the Soviet's 9M22 and 9M28, or the "Trnovnik" which is embeded with 63 HEAT-bomblets, making the resulting blow more devastating.
This weaponry has been involved in the war against insurgency in north-eastern nigeria.

2. The Norinco LG3 is a multipurpose fire support weapon manufactured by the chinese.

The LG3 40 mm Automatic Grenade Launcher is an air-cooled, blowback type automatic launcher which fires a variety of high muzzle velocity 40 mm ammunitions.
The best way to describe the Norinco lg3?, picture a machine gun in full operation, now imagine high muzzle velocity grenades shooting out instead of bullets.
it is a belt feld 40 mm fully automatic grenade launcher which can fire 300 to 400 rounds per minute. And can hit targets as far as 2000 meters away.
It can be mounted on a tripod, or combat vehicles and patrol boats,
and its equipped with varieties of sights and fire-control systems, including daylight sight, night sight, and the OS7 automatic telescope sight which increases visibility for its operator in the night time.
Enemy trucks, enemy aircrafts, fleeing armoured carriers are some of the targets the norinco lg3 can take out.
it produces fragments that would kill or wound any personell within a 10 meter radius of impact.

3. CH-3A Rainbow Attack Drone
The CH-3 attack drone provides Nigeria with modern tactical battlefield capabilities without risking the lives of pilots.
It can stay airborne for up to 12 hours, with a maximum payload of 80 kilograms and a range of 2,400kilometres, What no manned aircraft in the Nigerian Air Force inventory can hope to achieve.
It has two hard-points for carrying and delivering guided missiles, including the AR-1, air to ground missile. and can carry a payload of up to 80 kilograms.
It is operated by a 3 man Crew consisting of the Mission Commander, Pilot, and Navigator .
equipped with a Maximum speed of more than 300 km/h and a range of 2,400 kilometers.
The Nigerian airforce operates three of these Attack drones.
Nigeria also operates a number of smaller drones too, entirely homemade for tactical battlefield surveilance.
