A Lagos State Police Command source, who confided in PunchNG, said operatives from the Ikoyi Police Division received a distress call that two young men were lying lifeless in a car.

A team raced to the scene. On getting there, the lifeless bodies of two adult males were found in a BMW car, with number plate, KJA 631 AY, at the underground garage of Block B, Banana Island.

After making some enquiries, the victims were identified as Olugbenga Abiodun, 25. He lived on Block 11 of the estate. The other victim, Chime Amaechi, was also aged 25,” the source said.

Another source who spoke to Punch, claimed that preliminary physical examination suggested that they died of drug overdose, as it was gathered that the duo vomited blood from their noses and mouths.

She said, “They were found dead in the car and blood was coming out of their noses and mouths.

A doctor was also at the scene. Physical examination of the bodies indicated that the victims must have died of an overdose of substances suspected to be hard drugs. The substances were found in the car.”

While the corpses have been deposited in the Lagos State Teaching Hospital morgue, as the family of the late entertainers await post-mortem result to find the actual cause of death,

the Lagos State Acting Commissioner of Police, Edgar Imohimi, who confirmed the deaths and said, “Autopsies would be carried out to know the cause of death. There were no marks of violence on their bodies.

While Nollywood actress Caroline Danjuma alleged she heard Tagbo was on a drinking spree with Davido and his friends and accused Davido of negligence, another family friend of Tagbo Umeike has given Punch’s Saturday Beats his version of the story.

According to the family friend, Damilola Usman, who spoke to Saturday Beats from Tagbo’s parents’ house on Wednesday, Tagbo passed out after taking shots of tequila.

He said:

“Tagbo’s family is not ready to give out information now but once they are, we would contact you because the case is still at the police station and the investigation is still on-going.

However, what happened was that we went to a joint together called the Shisha Room. In the Shisha Room, we had a competition of Tequila shot. Each person had to take 10 shots of Tequila and after the competition, Tagbo passed out.

Nobody took him to the hospital because everybody was high already. We did not know that it was something serious.

“I learnt they went to the beach later and I think he passed out at the beach again. His friends that accompanied him to the beach did not attend to him on time but eventually when they suspected that there was something wrong, they allegedly dropped him in front of the hospital with his car.” he said.

Meanwhile, Caroline Danjuma said she learnt there was a bet of N200, 000 and that late Tagbo, who was her boyfriend, drank 50 shots of tequila.

“I decided to call my neighbour who was also Tagbo’s friend and he said that there was a bet of N200, 000 and that Tagbo drank about 50 shots of tequila but I said that cannot be true. Tagbo cannot drink even a glass of Hennessey because he had a light brain like me.

So a guy who couldn’t drink this much couldn’t finish 50 shots of tequila. Tagbo did not need N200, 000 to do that. He came from a very wealthy background so he didn’t need that kind of bet; he was not hungry for that. I was shattered to hear such news.

“Meanwhile, someone who rented my bar told me he was with Davido at Shisha Bar on Monday and then I asked him randomly, “Oh then, you must know Tagbo”. The guy confirmed that he met Tagbo and that was when he knew they were birthday mates and he also said they had fun and went from there to DNA to party on Lagos Island.

“I contacted another person who (allegedly) remembered seeing Davido and Tagbo. According to what the person said, Tagbo drank the tequila and got intoxicated,” she said.

A 31-year-old housewife, Ngozi Obasi, has allegedly poured a pot of hot water mixed with pepper on her husband’s private part. The woman was arraigned before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ in Lagos on Thursday.

Mrs. Obasi, a resident of 17, Fatiregun St, Ilaye in Ebute Meta, is charged with attempted murder to which she pleaded not guilty. The police in charge of the matter, Sgt. Kehinde Omisakin, told the court that Ngozi committed the offence on Oct. 1 at 3.00 a.m. at their residence in Ebute Meta.

According to the prosecutor, the accused after a heated argument, emptied the pot of hot water mixed with pepper on the private part of Igwe Obasi, her husband, in a bid to murder him.

He said the offence contravened Section 230 (b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015. The offence is punishable with life imprisonment.

The Magistrate, Tajudeen Elias admitted the accused to bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum.

Elias said the surety must show proof of tax payment in the last three years to the state government.

Thirteen students of the Islamic Senior High School (ISSEC) in Kumasi are to face disciplinary actions for dancing to trending Patapaa’s "One Corner".

Adom News reported that nine girls and four boys, in a video uploaded on social media could be seen busily dancing and twerking to the popular dance craze.

The students, names yet to be made public, have been referred to the school’s Disciplinary Committee for misconduct.

The dance and song, currently the biggest song in Ghana, has seen people go gaga by either perching on whatever object is before them, go under cars, chairs or whatever while others isolate themselves on the ground to do a wild gyrating moves.

Some entertainment personalities including Funny Face and actor Kwaku Manu have all recorded videos dancing to the song. The song and dance craze have transcended the shores of the country with Nigerian music star Reekado Banks and Falz all dancing to it.

The police at Ikotun Division have arrested two women and detained them at the station while the third suspect escaped, for their unruly behaviour by publicly fighting over a man for sex in Lagos.

The incident happened at a popular joint at Governor’s Road by Landmog Bus Stop in Ikotun area of Lagos State.



The suspects identified as Amaka, Chioma and Blessing were said to have engaged in a public brawl after a customer who came to drink at the joint indicated interested to take a woman home.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the three women indicated interest at the same time and were said to have scrambled for the man to the embarrassment of other customers at the joint.

However, the scrambling turned to full blown fight and fracas after the man chose Blessing to the astonishment of Amaka and Chioma.

It was gathered that Chioma and Amaka protested and told the man that he cannot take Blessing because men had been sleeping with her for some days while the two of them have not had any $ex for days and had not made any money for those days.

They reportedly suggested that the man should agree to take the three of them at the same time since he could afford to take care of them.

The man agreed but Blessing rejected the idea and said she was not ready for such arrangement because she would deliver the services the man would want alone.

The argument resulted in hot exchange words and degenerated later to a fight among the three women.

Some of the properties at the jointed were damaged during the fight. The manager of the joint then had to contact the police and the suspects were arrested and taken to the station.

At the station, the suspects told the police that Blessing had taken the few customers that came to the joint to solicit for $ex at their own detriment and she had refused sharing the only man that agreed to take three of them for the romp.

When P.M.EXPRESS visited Ikotun Police Division, the suspects were still detained there but the DPO was not around to comment on the matter.

The Police have arrested a cannibal couple who made human meat pies and sold them to restaurants; the police are investigating the confession of Natalia Baksheeva and husband Dmitry Baksheev that they killed and ate 30 or more victims.

The couple lived in the grounds of a military academy run by the Russian Defence Ministry. Natalia is believed to have sold human meat to military trainees, including student pilots, attending the academy where she worked.

According to reports, human remains were found in their fridge, freezer and elsewhere in their home. One victim was waitress Elena Vashrushev, 35, who lived near them. Neighbours say Natalia, a former nurse, made and sold pies to boost her income.

Natalia at a point applied to work as a chef and offered to supply meat to a cafe in the city in 2010, according to Moskovsky Komsomolets. The Cafe owner, Vitaly Yakubenko, said, ” She was very active, asked lots of questions but mainly about where we buy our meat and fish and how fresh it is.

She made clear she could supply meat. I said that we work only with certified suppliers. The police should look now where this woman may have worked as a chef and if she tried to push her products there too.

For allegedly abandoning a barber’s shop where a mobile phone plugged to charge was stolen, a boy was yesterday set ablaze in Enugu.The Guardian gathered that Wisdom Kelechi at about 11:00p.m. on Monday night had allegedly poured petrol on his friend, Junior Onah and set fire on him.

Onah’s sin according to sources was abandoning his friend’s mobile phone left in his custody in a barber’s shop where it was plugged to charge at Ifoh field in Abakpa Nike, Enugu.

Kelechi had returned to the shop and could not find the phone. Livid at the loss of the phone, he went out and returned with a gallon of fuel, which he poured on his friend and set him on fire.

Although, Onah was said to have been rescued by people, he, however, sustained severe burns that led to his being rushed to the hospital where doctors are battling to save his life.
The police in Enugu, which confirmed the incident, said Kelechi has been arrested. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ebere Amaraizu, who expressed displeasure with the development, said a full-scale investigation has been launched into the matter with a view to unraveling the truth.

“The suspect has been promptly arrested by police operatives and he is helping in the investigations just as the victim was rescued with severe burns and taken to the hospital, where he is receiving treatment,” Amaraizu explained.

Meanwhile, an alleged attempt by a teenager, Enoch Ede to reconnect his residence with light said to have been severed earlier in the day by officials of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) over non-payment of bills, has claimed his life.

The police stated yesterday that Ede, who resides along Deeper Life road, Agbani in Nkanu West Local Council, was on Monday night electrocuted while attempting to reconnect his house, stressing that his mangled body had been deposited at the Agbani General Hospital mortuary.

The statement warned the public to desist from illegal tampering and reconnection of electricity to avoid ugly incidents that might follow such action.

A couple's two daughters were kidnapped by tenants who recently occupied their boy's quarters.

A couple, Mr Benjamin Bamidele (36) and his wife, Bose (32) have been left distraught after their two children were stolen by a self-styled couple, who rented a room on Odo Oba Street at Academy area of Ibadan, Oyo State, and disappeared with the two daughters of the landlord after four days.

According to Tribune, the incident reportedly occurred on Monday, September 18, while the stolen children’s names were given as Bamidele Victoria (five years old) and Bamidele Mary (two years, eight months old).

It was gathered that a man, who gave his name as Monday Williams and claimed to be an indigene of Benin, Edo State, came to rent a room in the Boys’ Quarters adjoining a 20-room storey building where the children lived with their parents, Mr Benjamin Bamidele, his wife, Bose, and his mother, Mrs Felicia Bamidele. The couple have begged for help on how to rescue the stolen children.

Narrating her own part of the story, the 72-year-old grandmother of the victims, Madam Bamidele said: “the tenant came to the house to seek accommodation and I directed him to our caretaker. The next thing I saw was that he came back to wash the floor of the room. He moved in on Thursday, September 14 with a woman he called his wife.

“The story the caretaker said he told him was that he was living with his brother but had to get an accommodation since he was getting married.

“When I noticed that he did not come with any belongings, I called the caretaker’s attention to it, but the caretaker said that the tenant claimed he still had his things in his brother’s place.

“The room he rented was N1,000 per month and he was expected to pay for a year. But the caretaker later told us that the tenant paid for six months, with a promise to pay the balance later.”

She added: “The tenant went out on Monday morning. I was downstairs where his ‘wife’ came to meet me and started chatting with me. My daughter-in-law took her three children to school to register them for the new session and later returned with them. The two younger ones were with me while the eldest went upstairs.

“After a while, the tenant’s ‘wife’ told me that she wanted to buy biscuit for my grandchildren. Since there was a provision seller in front us, I gave the move no thought, and before I knew what was happening, I fell into a deep sleep.

“I woke up and it suddenly dawned on me that my grandchildren were not with me. I called their mother who was upstairs to know if they were with her, but she said no.

“We went to the caretaker, asking him to call the tenant’s number, but to our shock, the number could not be reached. All the line was saying was ‘Sorry, the customer you dialled is barred from receiving calls.’

“That was how a search for the children started, but we are yet to find them. We learnt from some people that the children were sighted on a motorcycle with the tenant. He was said to be beating them while the children were crying.

“When asked why the children were crying, the tenant was said to have replied that he brought them to their grandmother for the holidays and they were reluctant in returning home, preferring to stay with grandma.

“We went to check the rented room and found it padlocked from outside, but when we opened the window, we found an empty room, save for a two-yard linoleum carpet, a bucket, a potty, a broom and empty bag which was blown with air to make it look like it contained some items.”

Also speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, the 32-year-old mother of the stolen kids, Mrs Bose Bamidele, said she didn’t know a tenant had been taken in until she noticed the light in the Boys’ Quarters room on Friday, September 15.

“I was not at home on Saturday and went to church on Sunday, so I did not see the ‘couple’.

I saw them on Monday, September 18 and we exchanged greetings. I took my children to school, came back with them and dropped them with my mother-in-law to go and buy their books at Beere area.

“I saw the tenant’s ‘wife’ standing by my in-law’s still on the ground floor, chatting with her. She was speaking in English and sounded like someone from the South East.

“I returned from the market and still saw the children with their grandma. I went to buy foodstuff to cook and went upstairs to prepare our meal.

“About 10 minutes after my return, my in-laws came to ask for Victoria and Mary, saying that the tenant’s ‘wife’ said she wanted to buy biscuits for them.

“That was how our search for my daughters began; and till now, we are yet to see them.

“We reported the case at Idi-Aro police station and the caretaker was arrested. He was released on bail but the case was later transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Iyaganku, Ibadan and he was re-arrested. He is still in detention there.”

When contacted, the police image-maker in the state, Adekunle Ajisebutu said that the case was under investigation, “but we can’t be giving details. Some arrests have been made. We will keep you posted when we make a head-way.”

A 20-year-old woman in Nasarawa State identified as Aisha Isa, who is the second wife of her husband, has shown herself to be an incarnate of the devil after she allegedly killed the two daughters of her husband’s first wife.

The two girls, 4-year-old Zainab and 2-year-old Ramatu, were bound, hands and feet, and allegedly thrown into a well by Aisha leaving them to drown. The absolutely wicked act was committed in Yelwabassa village in Kokona Local Government Area, Nasarawa State.

It was gathered from the Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State, Mohammed Kura, that the suspect, who is now in the custody of the State Criminal Investigation Department, Nasarawa State Police Command, claimed in a confessional statement to police detectives handling the case that she committed the alleged homicidal act because the mother of the two little girls forbade them from running errands for her. read full story here http://www.topupinfo.com/wife-confesses-after-murdering-her-two-step-children/
