Crime / I Stole Baby To Deceive My Husband That I Was Truly Pregnant – Woman Confesses by Toriperisc: 9:22pm On Oct 31, 2019
A middle-aged woman, Falilat Olatunji, was on Wednesday arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stealing a four-month-old baby boy in Abeokuta.

According to DAILY POST, the suspect was arrested following a report by one Alhaji Abdul Akeem Dawodu, who reported at Sabo Ilupeju Police Station that one Ms Taiwo Bello was washing her clothes behind the house at Iyana Kajola, Mile 2, Abeokuta; leaving her four month old baby, Ibrahim Bello, sleeping in the room.

She reportedly got back to the room and discovered that the baby had been taken away by an unknown person.

It was said that the woman raised alarm, which attracted a lot of people to the house.

Ogun police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said, “Upon the report, the DPO, Sabo Ilupeju division, CSP Alhasan AbdulAzeez, mobilized his detectives to the scene and commenced a full scale investigation into the case.”

Oyeyemi informed that the efforts of the police yielded positive result when the suspect was sighted at Ilewo Orile with the baby and was promptly arrested.

“On interrogation, the suspect, who resides at 23, Jawando street Ayobo Lagos confessed stealing the baby, but claimed that she only wanted to use the baby to deceive her husband whom she had earlier informed that she got pregnant for as the product of the pregnancy.”

Investigation further revealed that the suspect was once squatting in the same house with the parents of the baby and that she was present during the naming ceremony of the same baby.

The baby, police said, had been reunited with his parents.

Meanwhile, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bashir Makama, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution.

Makama equally appealed to members of the public to always beware of people around them; saying “there are a lot of wolves in human skin.”

Sports / Laliga: Messi Told To Dump Barcelona For Real Madrid by Toriperisc: 8:44pm On Oct 31, 2019
Former Boca Juniors goalkeeper, Hugo Gatti, has told Lionel Messi to move from Barcelona to arch-rivals Real Madrid, in order to prove he is the best player in history.

Messi has spent his entire senior career at the Camp Nou.

But Gatti believes he will not be able to compete with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Diego Maradona and Pele, without proving himself at another club.

“It seems as if I am anti-Argentine, but until Messi performs in the big games, he will continue to be a player of home games.

“He has to have balls to go to Real Madrid and prove everything there like Cristiano [Ronaldo did]. Otherwise he will be just one more [player].

“Cristiano went to the best club in the world. Messi plays at home, on his pitch with everything [that comes with that in terms of home comforts].

“Let him perform in the Champions League and the World Cup, otherwise he will always be one more [player]. When he performs there, he will fight with [Johan] Cruyff, [Diego] Maradona and Pele.

“Messi performs when they let him perform. It’s very easy to perform with everything in your favour at home,” Gatti said on TV show ‘ El Chiringuito de Jugones’.

Career / Heated Arguments As Court Suspends Recruitment Of 10,000 Constables by Toriperisc: 6:04am On Oct 24, 2019
Police

There were some heated moments in court on Wednesday as Justice Inyang Ekwo of Court 5 of the Federal High Court in Abuja stamped the jurisdiction of the court as the hearing in the case for an injunction brought against the Nigeria Police by the Police Service Commission (PSC) in respect of the recruitment of 10, 000 constables began, according to TheNation.

The PSC in a matter with suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/1120/19 had dragged the Nigeria Police Force, the Inspector General of Police and the Minister of Police Affairs as first, second and third respondents respectively to the court.

The PSC sought an interlocutory injunction restraining the defendants, their officers and representatives including anybody or person acting on their behalf from appointing, recruiting or attempting to appoint or recruit by any means whatsoever any person into any office in the first defendant pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit.

The Nigeria Police in its verified Twitter handle @PoliceNG had last week announced that members of the general public, particularly candidates who participated in the recruitment exercise were advised to note that the final list of successful candidates will be released only after the receipt of the Recruitment Report and final vetting of the list by the Inspector General of Police.

The court on Wednesday urged that all parties should stay within the bounds of the law until the matter is decided.

When the matter came up for hearing, Counsel to the three defendants, Dr Alex Izinyon SAN sought to join the Attorney General of the Federation as fourth defendant in the matter, to which the lawyer to the PSC, Kanu Agabi SAN agreed and Justice Ekwo adopted.

Ekwo had gone ahead to give the plaintiff four days from the date of the order to amend, file and service the processes and the first to third defendants another four days upon service by the plaintiff to amend file and serve their processes.

A November 4, 2019 date was agreed for the matter to resume.

Ekwo then told the senior lawyers that they represent the cream of the inner bar and since they had decided to submit the issues between them to the court, all parties must respect the rule of law and stay within bounds until the matter is decided.

“I need your assurance on that,” Ekwo had said.

But Izinyon had gone ahead to argue that the issue that brought the motion was the issue of recruitment, which has passed, as recruitment of the 10, 000 constables had been concluded by the Police.

“I am giving you between now and the fourth of November to return to court.

“Are you telling that between now and the fourth of November, you still need to go on with what you are doing?” Ekwo had queried.

Izinyon responded: “We have finished what we are doing, with the greatest respect. And with the greatest respect, the police service commission is aware.”

The argument got quite heated and Ekwo had to interject, “The case is not between you and me.”

The judge went ahead to say he gave all parties until November 4 to come back when the court will take a decision on which step to take next.

“You have submitted to the jurisdiction of the court. You stay within the jurisdiction of the court,” Ekwo said.

“We have completed what they came here to ask,” Iziyon responded.

“That is going to be determined at the end of the day. Parties should not go beyond where they are,” Ekwo replied.

Also speaking, Agabi said: “I have nothing more to add. Your Lordship has said it. What you said is obvious. We are before the court.

“Now my learned brother is saying they have already completed it. What an embarrassment it would be to the nation and to the police if this court should decide that whatever they were doing were illegalities. What an embarrassment.”

“That would be for the future. For today the matter is adjourned to 4thNovember, 2019,” the judge said.

Politics / Tinubu Has Not Achieved More Than Obasanjo, Awolowo – Fani-kayode by Toriperisc: 6:02am On Oct 21, 2019
Tinubu has not achieved more than Obasanjo, Awolowo – Fani-Kayode counters ex-minister, Ogunlewe

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation, has reacted to a statement by former Minister of Works, Adeseye Ogunlewe, that Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has achieved more than the late Obafemi Awolowo and MKO Abiola, acclaimed winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.

DAILY POST had that Ogunlewe anchored his claim on the number of persons Tinubu has been able to promote from nothing to be governors, ministers and even vice president.

He maintained that the former Lagos State governor would make a better President if given the opportunity.

But, Fani-Kayode while reacting, said Obasanjo, Awolowo amongst other Yoruba elders played significant roles in Nigeria not just Tinubu.

According to him, Tinubu has not achieved more than Awolowo or any other Yoruba leader.

Fani- Kayode on his Twitter page wrote: Tinubu has achieved more than Awolowo, MKO Abiola”Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe.

Why do we Yorubas always have this infantile craving to compare our leaders and say one is greater than the other?

Tinubu, Abiola, Obasanjo, SL Akintola, Samuel Ajayi Crowther, Herbert Macaulay and many others all made their mark and all played notable and historic roles. Some are still playing it.

We should be grateful to God for them all and stop trying to compare them or say one has achieved more than the other.

Politics / Lagos Election: Sanwo-olu Wins At Tribunal by Toriperisc: 5:26pm On Sep 23, 2019
An Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lagos on Monday dismissed a petition filed by the Labour Party (LP) and reaffirmed Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the duly elected Governor of Lagos State in the March 9 polls.

The tribunal described the petition as a “futile and wasteful exercise”, noting that the petitioners (LP and Ifagbemi Awamaridi, its governorship candidate in the election) could not prove their allegations of mental incompetence against Sanwo-Olu in their evidence before the tribunal.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the three-man panel of judges led by Justice T. T Asua, in its three-hour judgment, held that the petitioners also failed to prove their allegations of election malpractice against Sanwo-Olu and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

It held that its earlier decision to dismiss the petition which was later appealed by the petitioners was still valid because the petition was not filed according to the laws governing the electoral laws.

“The petitioners have failed to meet the requirement of the law. The petitioners have failed in our humble view to discharge the onus of proof which would have been placed on the Respondents.

“We confirm the return of Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the duly elected Governor of the State,”Asua said.

Earlier, the tribunal had struck out the names of the fourth to seventh respondents (The Resident Electoral Commissioner for Lagos State INEC, Returning Officer for Lagos State Governorship Election, the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State and the Nigeria Army).

It held that from evidence adduced, there were no ties linking them to the allegations contained in the petition.

NAN reports that during the hearing of the petition, the Petitioners had called six witnesses (including Awamaridi and three subpoenaed witnesses) while the Respondents did not call any witness.

Regarding Sanwo-Olu’s alleged mental ill health, the tribunal in the judgment said that the petitioners could not prove their allegations which were contained in paragraphs 19 and 20 of the Petition.

“No scintilla of evidence was presented to prove the assertion that the second respondent is of unsound mental health.

“No newspaper evidence and medical evidence from the Gbagada General Hospital was presented at the tribunal.

“PW5 openly stated in court that ‘the evidence does not exist’. That portion of the petition remains abandoned, and I so hold,”Asua said.

The tribunal noted that Awamaridi, while testifying during the hearing of the petition, said that he did cast a vote during the March 9 gubernatorial polls because he was certain his Permanent Voters Card (PVC) was cloned.

According to the tribunal, Awamaridi in his testimony could not pinpoint where the alleged irregularities took place, but rather asserted that everything within his knowledge was said by his agents.

“The journey of this petition has been a futile and wasteful exercise. PW1 (Awamaridi) as a witness, dumped the evidence on the tribunal and expected it to go on a voyage of discovery.

“Each document has to be related to the case; PW1 did not tie any of the evidence to the case. Since the petitioners did not link Exhibits P18 to P20 to their case, the evidence lacks probative value and are not relevant to their case.

“The petitioners have failed to structure the case within the parameters set by the apex courts. PW1, PW2 and PW4 testified in relation to polling units but could not tie their allegations to any specific polling unit,” the tribunal held.

Following the judgment, Mr Bola Aidi, counsel to the petitioners told the tribunal that the judgment would be studied.

“We are grateful for the time of the Judge on the judgment, we shall look at it and do the needful,” Aidi said.

Counsel to Sanwo-Olu, Mr Victor Okpara thanked the tribunal for the judgment, and described the doggedness of the petitioners as “the beauty of democracy”.

Mr Tunde Falola, Counsel to the APC appreciated the panel for the time spent on the judgment.

Justice Asua said that the records of the judgment would be made available within 24-hours.

As at the time of filing this report, the tribunal went on a break to reconvene to deliver a judgment on a similar petition filed by the Alliance for Democracy.

Sports / What Ronaldo Said About Messi During UCL Draw [PHOTOS] by Toriperisc: 7:28am On Aug 30, 2019
Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona forward Lionel Messi are two of the most successful footballers in modern era but it was a huge shock when the Portuguese revealed that he would like to have dinner with the Argentina in future.

Both five-time Ballon d’Or winners were nominated for the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award which was eventually won by Dutch and Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk. The Portuguese claimed that he has a good relationship with Messi but they’ve never had dinner together.

Speaking at the event, Ronaldo said: “I was curious because we shared this stage for 15 years me and him. I don’t know if that has ever happened in football, the same two guys on the stage at the same time, so it’s not easy.

“Of course we have a good relationship, we have not had dinner together yet but I hope in the future.

“Of course I miss playing in Spain, we had that battle the last 15 years, which was good. He pushed me and I pushed him as well, so it’s good to be part of history of football. I am there and of course he is there as well

Ronaldo’s Juventus were drawn in Group D of the UEFA Champions League alongside Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, Lokomotiv Moscow while Messi’s Barcelona are in Group F with Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Slavia Prague

Politics / Court Strikes Out Petition Against Popular ‘slapping Senator’, Elisha Abbo by Toriperisc: 7:11am On Aug 30, 2019
Popular slapping senator, Elisha Abbo has been declared as the authentic winner of the Adamawa North Senatorial seat in the 9th Senate.

This was the verdict of the National Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal.

Senator Abbo’s victory was challenged by Binta Garba of the All Progressives Congress who occupied the seat between 2015 and 2019.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Abbo, who ran on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the February 23, 2019.

The lawmaker had alleged that irregularities witnessed during the election which included over-voting, failure to use card readers as well as intimidation of voters and party agents nullified the results of the election.

In a ruling delivered on Thursday however, the court declared that Abbo who is still currently enmeshed in an assault scandal with a shop owner in Abuja was the true winner of the election.

The lawmaker subsequently took to his Facebook page to express delight over the tribunal’s decision to affirm him the winner of the election.

“The voice of the people is the voice of Power. We have won our case at the tribunal. We would be forever victorious. Let’s give God the glory all the time. Thank you my people,” he posted.

Crime / Teacher Admits To Killing And Chopping Up Girl With Albinism For Rituals by Toriperisc: 3:16pm On Aug 22, 2019
A 40-year-old South African teacher, Josiah Thubane, has pleaded guilty to abducting and killing a 13-year-old girl with albinism for rituals commonly known as 'Muti'.

Gabisile was killed after some men abducted her from her home at Hlalakahle in eMalahleni area of Mpumalanga in 2018. Her 15-month-old baby cousin, Nkosikhona Ngwenya, who wasn't an albino was also abducted but later thrown alive off a bridge to drown in a dam near the N4 highway.

Anna Shabane, mother of 13-year-old Gabisile revealed that the incident led to a beefed up security in her home as she gave her testimony at the Middelburg High Court on Tuesday August 20. She also said her family was living in fear as her daughter's murder destroyed her family.

"I was close to my daughter, and her twin sister Khanyisile has been more shattered by her sister's passing. The manner in which she was killed makes me feel that they should have taken me and not her," she said sobbing.

The aggrieved mother also disclosed that she still has flashbacks of the day she found her daughter's headless and decomposed body with missing body parts.

"I replay the vivid images in my head over and over again and I keep hoping she would come back. She was young and had a bright future ahead of her," Shabane said.

"I was helped by the municipality after my family was attacked to build a wall around my home and to put in cameras, but my community accused me of selling my children for money to renovate my home" she added.

The mother of the murdered 15-month-old baby was also psychologically affected, Police prosecutor Ntsika Mpolweni confirmed. Mpolweni said the baby boy was abducted while his mother, Nompumelelo Ngwenya was breastfeeding him.

"The fear is so extreme that the [toddler] cannot even go and play outside with other children and that is as the result of the attack, abduction and killing of two of their children" the police prosecutor said.

Sowetan reported that Thubane, a father of four and teacher admitted to being part of the plan to kill Gabisile in a statement read out in court. He confessed to knowing that she was being abducted to be killed for her body parts. He also admitted to killing baby Nkosikhona.

"I admit that on the 27-28 of January 2018 I did unlawfully and intentionally kill the baby by throwing him off the bridge of Zaalklap River. I admit that on the next day in Cullinan, I killed Gabisile Shabane, a 13-year-old," said Thubane who apologized to the murder victims' family before being led out of court.

It is expected that other co-conspirators which include Thokozani Msibi said to be a traditional healer, Brilliant Mkhize and Knowledge Mhlanga will appear in court again on May 25. 2020.

Religion / Woman Pours Hot Water On Her Husband For Not Picking Her From Church by Toriperisc: 8:22am On Aug 17, 2019
A Zimbabwean man has been left badly scalded after being poured hot water by his wife Alice Chigwida, for coming home late and failing to pick her from St Mary’s Cathedral on Sunday August 11.

Mr Davies Chitagu reportedly returned home around 10pm and they had an argument about him not picking her up from church. He was reportedly sleeping when his wife stormed the room he was in and emptied a bucket of hot water on him. A family member told Chronicle that the lady ignored her husband's plea while pouring the hot water on him.

“When she feared that he would die on their matrimonial bed, she helped him into their car and went to dump him at a surgery in the city before telling his relatives that he was in hospital,” the family source said.

It was learnt that a police report had to be made before Mr Chitagu could be treated. Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident and he said an investigation has already been launched.

“I can confirm that we are dealing with a case of domestic violence where a woman scalded her husband with boiling water following a domestic dispute. Further investigations into the matter are underway,” said Inspector Ncube.

Mr Chitagu has since been discharged from the hospital but still has bandages on almost all parts of his body.

Episode 20 (Finale)

Our love was the best in town, i have never felt so fulfilled in my entire life. Tochi and Eve, Bonnie and clyde had nothing on us. We spent more time together than we spent anywhere. She was my unofficial wife. All i did was aimed at making her happy and she was happy and that made me happy. She had moved out of the school hostel and gotten another lodge. For the sake of decency, she wasn’t going to move in with me but we spent time together anyways.

I never get to see much of Ada these days and i thought it was a bit better that way. What i had for her never died but i wasn’t going back to who i was. I had made up my mind to stick with Eve and i wasn’t going back on that and after all Ada and I happened by chance and not because i intended it to happen.

But i guess when you love someone, you just love them, maybe i was able to keep to my resolution because Ada had kept her distance and didn’t want anything to do with me again.

It was on a Tuesday afternoon, Eve had gone for her lecture and i was alone in the house watching a movie. Ada walked in looking all cute. I was startled, i had never expected to see her again.

“Hey” she said and sat down.

“Hi, what’s up” i said and faced her

“I’m cool”

We were quiet for sometime and then i talked.

“I’m sorry for yelling at you the last time ” i said and she nodded, then silence again.

“My wedding is next week Saturday” she finally said after a while, i was surprised that the news got to me when i thought i was finally getting over her.

“Are you happy with him?” i found myself asking, i was jealous.

“Tochi, i don’t know, i just came to tell you as someone i knew” she said and got up, said goodbye to me and left. I realized i still needed her anyways.

I never got to see her again until a day before her wedding. She had traveled down from her hometown where she was supposed to be having the wedding. I had just finished taking my bath when she rushed in. She grabbed me and kissed me like she needed it to survive. I snapped out of my amazement and kissed her back. We kissed our selves out of breath and i realized how much i had missed her.

“Tochi i may be getting married to him tomorrow but my heart and everything is with you, if i have any regrets tomorrow, it would be not getting married to you. I never meant to end it like this but you caused it, i love you so much ” she said with tears in her eyes. I just stared at her, i couldn’t speak. She pulled her clothes down and without any words, she engaged me in the process of breaking my second Virgin. She was all over me by the time we were through.

” I belong to you and there’s nothing i can do about it” she said as she laid her head on my chest.

“I love you Ada and i’m sorry for everything ”

” Do you want me to call off the wedding?” she asked and looked up at me

“I wish its possible but i think its better you go ahead with it, you should know i’m with Eve now but that does not change a thing about how i feel about you” i said. She was silent for a while.

“I wanted you to be the first person inside of me and I’m happy about it. I want you to know that i hold nothing against you and would forever think of you” she said and left the bed. I watched her dress up and prayed to God that I would be able to leave without her.

“Please don’t come to my wedding, i may be forced to put the ring on your finger instead of his'” she said and smiled a weak pretty smile

“I won’t come, i may also be forced to shoot him for taking you away”.

She kissed me and left me staring at her as she walked out of the door. She called me later in the night and wished me well with Eve. We spent over 2 hours on the phone after which i sulked to sleep.

I woke up late the next day, i had dreamt of my wedding on a hill top, a lavish wedding and the funny thing was that Ada was by my side..

The time was 10 am, i sat on my bed sulking. My boo was getting married to another guy and it wasn’t funny. I may be greedy and selfish wanting two people at the same time but then, the heart wants what it want.

I was still seated on my bed contemplating on what to do with my self when i heard a car stop in front of our gate and Ada entered my room clad in her full wedding gown, she looked like she just fell out of heaven. She wasn’t smiling.

“I have made up my mind, i can’t give my heart to one man and marry another. It’s you Tochi or no other and its final” she said as i just stared her with my mouth wide open. She locked the door, undressed herself and came to the bed..

I just knew my DILEMMA was just about to start.

THE END (pls forgive me for posting late, Nigerian light caused it)

Religion / Pastor Adeboye: Nigeria Will Come Out Great, March Forward by Toriperisc: 7:47am On Aug 11, 2019
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has prophesied that Nigeria would come out great, march forward and overcome its numerous challenges.

He made the prophetic declarations in his sermon at the 67 Holy Ghost Congress held at the Redemption Camp, KM 46, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, however, urged Nigerians to return to God, NAN reports.

Adeboye also declared, There will be an end to emptiness, materially, spiritually and economically in Nigeria.

Speaking on the topic: And God Said, Let There be Light, Adeboye declared: The plan of God for Nigeria is that when light comes to the nation, Nigeria will be great, it will progress and move forward.

There will be light, means let progress begin; when there was darkness in Egypt for three days, the Egyptians could not stand up for three days.

Darkness stops progress; when you are surrounded with darkness, your progress will not be accelerated.

Let There be Light also means that there will be fullness and fruitfulness in Nigeria.

The cleric who took his text from Psalm 30, verse five, said that weeping could endure for a night, but that joy would come in the morning.

This means that Nigeria shall sorrow no more; it means all the forces in heaven will see that Nigeria and Nigerians will succeed; rain will fall on our land in the right season.

Nigerians will sow on good soil, many people have not succeeded because they have no one to help them, when God blesses you, you cannot be cursed by anyone, he said.

Adeboye, however, said that 86 children were delivered at the campground, comprising 45 boys, 41 girls.

Episode 18

She just stood there looking at us like she couldn’t see us. I was caught red handed, there was no way i could lie myself out it. I was on the verge of losing two of the most valuable people in my life should Ada freak out. She just stood and stared like she was dumbfounded. I had gotten up and sat on the bed, i couldn’t look her in the eyes and i couldn’t say anything. Eve had innocently gotten up from the bed too, she was very ignorant of the situation in the room. She said hi to Ada with a broad smile on her face.
“Hello, i just came to take my jotter” Ada said to my surprise and shame, she turned immediately and walked out. Eve dropped her head on my shoulder.

“Ermm, i will be right back, let me return her jotter” i said and she said ok. I ran blindly to Ada’s room and found her lying on her bed. Her eyes were wet with tears but there weren’t running.
I went on my knees and held her hands and to my surprise she allowed me..

“Ada i don’t know what to say, I’m sorry for what you saw, Ada i love you and i swear i never meant to break your heart ” i didn’t even know what to say, i wasn’t going to deny my love for Eve or call it a mistake but then i loved Ada and i wasn’t going to lose her. She just lay on the bed, she wasn’t even looking at me. I sat on the bed and wiped her eyes, she got up and kissed me, i held her and kissed back. Just then Eve came in on us.
“Tochi! “she called as i looked back at her. I was staring at the ground, expecting it to open up anytime soon and swallow me but nothing like that happened. I jumped from the bed and stared at the ground. I was going to pay for all my sins that particular day and i wasn’t ready for the penance.

“Are you two together” Eve finally asked and i saw Ada nod. Eve looked at the two of us.
“I just came to tell you i was going back to my lodge” she said and left without looking back. Ada got up and walked to where i stood
“Tochi why? ” she asked me as she cried.
” Ada i’m sorry” i muttered. She slapped me as i held her and pulled her to me. She held me and cried on my body. I drew her to the bed and held her as she cried herself to sleep. I prayed so hard that all these should turn to one of my dreams but my prayers were never answered. I bent my head and cried without tears…..

Ada had broken up with me that day, i had betrayed her love and it was more than she could take. Eve doesn’t even want to see anyone that looks like me or bears my name talk more of seeing me, she had cried the day i visited her and when she could no longer stand my sight, she ran out of her room and i went after her. I caught her up on the road and knelt before her to the spectacle of a few number of people. She couldn’t even look at me, she looked beautiful and fragile as she cried and i fell in love the more. She later walked out on me and into her room and banged the door.

The funny thing was that i had kept to the same mistake i had made at first, i was still begging the both of them for reconciliation. I couldn’t even imagine how i was able to write the rest of the semester’s exam. The holidays were the next big thing after boredom and couldn’t wait to get back to school. Ada and Eve had since blocked my number from reaching them and didn’t waste time in blocking any other number i called them with. Fast forward to the end of holidays. I ran back to school, i was determined on getting the loves of my life back to me.

I had just gotten to my room and was unpacking and then Ada walked. She looked exquisite. I was surprised, she was the last person i had expected to walk into my room at that moment.

“Hey” she said and sat on the bed
“Ada, how are you doing? ” i asked and sat beside her
” I’m fine, welcome back”
“Thank you, how was ur holiday? ”
” Fine thank you” she said and we stared into space for a long time. I could sense the tension between us. Maybe she still felt something for me, maybe she missed me during those periods we were on break and had come to tell me that, i mean, we really loved each other and love doesn’t just die like that. I managed to look at her and our eyes met, God she was so beautiful in a way that i haven’t noticed. I pulled her to me and she obliged. I hugged her and she hugged back.

“I really missed you” i said with the greatest bit of emotions i could ever muster in my voice.
“I missed you too ” she said in the sweetest voice i had ever heard in a long while. We kissed passionately for a while and then she pushed me away.
” Tochi stop ” she said moving farther away from me
” Why? ”
” Nothing, just stop please ”
” Ada you should know i’m really sorry for what i did, you are all i want now and forever” i said hoping i meant it but i knew i was hoping against hope, i wanted Eve too.
“Its too late ” she said in a shaky voice, i was shaken by the statement and i prayed that some random guy haven’t snatched her away from me.
” What do you mean too late Ada” i asked with my heart pounding. She looked at me and she was crying, she looked away, wiped her eyes and sniffed. Then she dropped it on me like Hiroshima..

“I’m getting married!!! ”

Episode 17

Most of the advances from her male Facebook friends were ignored by her except for one. I found out that there was something between them right up until she started ignoring him. I checked up on the guys profile and he was dope. Seemed to be living abroad judging by the places he took his pictures. He looked like he was in his late twenties or early thirties. I just sat there and stared like i just submitted my question paper and came out with my answer sheet. Ada came back with two cans of fanta and two large meat pies. I was too annoyed or should i say heart broken to even look at her, she sat beside me oblivious of my composure and was trying to hand over the drink and snack to me. I ignored her and looked in another direction while trying to figure out my next move.

“Let’s go home” i finally said getting up from where we sat.
“Now?” she asked looking up at me
“Yes, now” i sounded a bit harsh, she looked confused as she stared at me.
“But what are we now going to be doing at home?”
“I don’t know, i don’t want to stay here, either you come with me or you stay here, either way i’m going home” i said getting up. She got up and walked after me as i led the way.

We got to my lodge and we both went in. I sat on the bed, she dropped the drinks on top of the fridge and sat beside me. She had probably noticed my countenance had changed. She came closer to me and held me by shoulders.

“Too, is anything wrong? ”
I kept quiet
” Talk to me naa, eh baby, why is your face like this?” she kept asking, she was going to break down when i decided to talk.

“Ada who is Oscar?” i asked looking at her.
“Oscar, from wherever?” she asked
“Oscar from your Facebook, Ada, who is he?” i was beginning to sound very bitter and i was bitter. I loved her and couldn’t bear having someone who is probably better than me getting her attention, i was scared she may decide to leave me for him. From the chat, i had figured out that they have gone far and i wasn’t ready to lose her. She looked at me with a little bit of sadness in her eyes.

“He’s my fiance” she quietly said as my heart started pounding so hard i assumed people outside could hear the sound.

I stared at her like i just met her for the first time, i had wished it was a joke but it wasn’t.

“Your fiance?” i asked again and she nodded.
“And you never told me? ”
” It wasn’t necessary” she said pulling closer to me, i shifted farther from her which seemed to hurt her, she was hurting me with this revelation and i wanted so hard to reciprocate this love so she could feel how i felt. Sitting there all of a sudden i realized how scarcely we knew each other, we had been too consumed by our affection for each other that we cared about nothing us but us.
“What do you mean it wasn’t necessary? ” i asked.
” It wasn’t necessary because i was going to break up with him”
“Why would you want to break up with him? ”
” Because of You tochi” she said and i stared at her.
“Why because of me?”
“Tochi, i met you and i fell in love with you, i was with Oscar because he told me he loved me and always tried to show that he did, i don’t love him as much as i would want to, but you tochi, you lit a part of my heart that had been dark for ages, i love you for what it’s worth and i’m willing to let everything go for you” she hugged me as she cried, i was supposed to be happy about her reassurance but i wasn’t, the thought that i may end up breaking her heart made sure of that. She was going to break up with her fiance because of me and i wasn’t sure i would marry her. Heck, i was just in my year one in the University. I drew her closer to me and held her tight, I loved her and that was the only thing i’m going to allow to matter, i was going to let my fears sort themselves out.

“I love you and i’m never going to let you go” i said as we held onto ourselves.
“I love you too” she whispered and sniffed.

My door opened and Kossi walked in, he observed us silently for sometime and rushed to the fridge, he grabbed the drinks and meat pies and ran outside. We didn’t care, our bellies were obviously filled with our love for each other. About 30 seconds later, kossi walked in again

“Guy you fit borrow me garri” he said, i picked my heavy dictionary and flung it after him as he ran outside. I gently laid Ada to the bed and cuddled her to sleep. I dressed up and left for Eves lodge to find out her math101 exam was.

Very much to my objection, Ada had broken up with Oscar in my presence over a call. He had asked her why and she told him bluntly to his face or rather his ears that she doesn’t love him enough to want to be with him. She had asked me why i was against her breaking up with him.

“Or don’t you want to be with me” she had asked with fears in her eyes…
“It’s not that” i hugged her and pulled her closer to me “Its just that we are still students in our 100 level and i keep wondering if you can wait so long for me”
“Tochi, i will wait for eternity for you, if you want me to” she said and held me tighter. Tonia walked in without knocking.

“Hmmm, lovebirds ” she said and laughed.
” Ada come and give me your English textbook, i need it now”
“Ermm, go and check my room, it should be there”
“No, come yourself, it will be faster” she insisted and winked at me
“Tonia must you disturb us” Ada said and heading for the door.
“Go i’m coming behind you” Tonia told her as she left and faced me
“Are you sure its just the text book you want or do you have ulterior motives” i asked staring at her.
“I have dozens of English textbooks” she said hugging me and kissing me on my lips.
“So what do you think you can do within the 3 to 5 minutes she’s going to spend bringing back the book”
“Nothing, if i wanted to start something, i would have sent her to the market and not her room” she said and bit my lips while grabbed her hips and squeezed them hard, she moaned and kissed me again and longer.
“She’ll soon be back you know” i said
“Yea, I just came to tell you that Eve would soon be here, she was taking her bath when i left her room” she said pulling away from me. I looked at her with my mouth open.
“And you couldn’t say that since? ”
” At least i told you” she smiled
“What do I do?” i was getting worried and confused.
“Don’t worry, i will go and hold Ada back” she said, kissed me and left while i tidied up my room .

model. She was on a grey tight gown which revealed her hour glass shape. I hugged her for like 10 seconds in which i felt every part of her in HD. She laughed and pushed me away.
“I have missed you” i said as i sat on the bed and pulled her to my laps.
“I missed you too” she kissed me and i held her cheek and we both kissed for long. Her skin were radiant and they made me weak and lovesick at the same time. We were in love and it was very obvious. The more I thought about whom i loved most, the more i became confused and the more i found myself entangled in my state of dilemma.
My phone started ringing but i wasn’t going to be distracted. I flung it away and laid Eve on the bed. I lay beside her as we kissed, i was too engrossed in the affair that i didn’t notice when Ada walked in…
