IFARMS Launched AGRICULTURAL FREEDOM PROJECT Phase 2 AFP is a project to increase the production yield in Nigeria under an intensive supervision by IFARMS/AFP Team. we will begin to upload pictures of our AFP Phase 1 on ifarms blog from 15th of June. This Phase of the project will involve only producers and intending producers. This phase of the project involves as much as possible person that are interested in farming by AFP Means. How it Works (in bullets) Registration for AFP Phase 2 begins on 6th of June and closes on wednesday 22nd of June 2016 All interested person will be allocated the numbers of acres he/she wants on the given date. The Land will be totally cared for by The AFP team. This Phase of the project will only involve Maize and Soya Beans cultivation. Land allocation begins of 23rd to 25th of June 2016. Each member will pay a total sum of 40,000 naira per ACRE of land for either the soya beans or Maize production. The 40,000 Naira to be paid covers the following, Land use for a year in your Name, Seed costs, Herbicide, Labour work (Clearing, land preparation, Planting, and Spraying), the security and maintenance. therefore, This 40,000 Naira covers the total production cost per acre. Note, All the seeds to be planted are purchased from IITA (Ibadan) The Maize seeds to be planted are 65 Days Maize. The Seeds are treated seeds. The Farm lands are located in Ondo State, Osun State and Oyo State. You are allowed to visit your allocated farm land anytime as you want. Our AFP Phase 2 Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be given to you on the date of land allocation. We have two marketing plans for you in this phase 2 project 1) you can market your produce yourself and AFP will be given 10% of the total output while you will take 90%. 2) AFP can help you market your produce and return 100,000 Naira to you after production. i.e after 4-5 Months. Maize

Maize or corn is a cereal crop that is grown widely throughout the world in a range of agroecological environments. More maize is produced annually than any other grain. About 50 species exist and consist of different colors, textures and grain shapes and sizes. White, yellow and red are the most common types. The white and yellow varieties are preferred by most people depending on the region.
Maize was introduced into Africa in the 1500s and has since become one of Africa's dominant food crops. Like many other regions, it is consumed as a vegetable although it is a grain crop. The grains are rich in vitamins A, C and E, carbohydrates, and essential minerals, and contain 9% protein. They are also rich in dietary fiber and calories which are a good source of energy.

AGRICULTURAL FREEDOM PROJECT (Phase 2).
AFP is a project organised and supervised by I-farm. AFP seeks to provide food security and empowerment especially among the youths.
This phase 2 project is inviting intending producers and investors, who wish to go into maize cultivation.
The production fee per acre is #38,000 and at the end of the production season (3-5 months) you will be making a profit of #100,000 - #150,000.
There is provision for installmental payment (at least 50%) and the balance will be on/before the allocation of the acre(s).
Also two people can decide to cultivate an acre, but one of the names will be registered as agreed by the two parties.
Intending investors can cultivate 5 acres or more..
The cultivation, planting, monitoring and marketing of the produce will be done by I-farms. The risk of production will be beared by I-farms.
Legal actions could be taken as long as you are not satisfied with the progress of the project.
The allocation of land will be on 18th of June, 2016. Registration closes on Thursday, 16th June, 2016.
