Cover letter is just to confirm that your sponsor is in full support of your application. You can also write briefly on how you met, when you started dating and when you got married.
Make it simple, not too long and straight to the point.

Isommex:
Hello is been a while have been following this trend i ask a question sometime ago am planning to submit spouse application hopefully this month. Please can anyone share how the spouse letter cover template will look like pls.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 12:15pm On Apr 28, 2017
33 months is correct. That's what I put in my application.

P60 is not compulsory, as long as you meet the financial requirement with supporting documents of a letter of employment showing start of employment and gross pay, 6 months pay slips, 6 months bank statements to prove that your salary is paid into your account.

But if you have your p60 and feel like adding it to your supporting documents then it's ok but not compulsory.

AdimO1:
hello everyone.gurus and all whom have made successful application

please as regards the online application, there is a place where you asked for how long you will stay in the uk. is it technically correct to say 33months (which is the duration of the visa) or to say continuous/permanent/join wife.

secondly is p60 compulsory (despite having payslips that show how much u earn, tax deduction and other deductions and bank statements?

thanks in anticipation of your response

I just picked up my passport with my visa stamped on it. I want to thank everyone that keeps contributing on this forum. I will post my timeline and supporting documents later.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 4:21pm On Apr 25, 2017
I just picked up my visa.

SteelyMan:
@Tosine, the post above gives me the impression that they at least have started processing our applications, given that Ikihin heard from UKVI as recently as April 13/14 (as implied in his message). Since we have not received any communication asking for further docs or clarification, I can only assume the best. Speculating serves no purpose, but it's hard not to wonder what the heck must be going on...
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 8:16am On Apr 22, 2017
@SteelyMan, same response I got from the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry. I have a feeling it's an automated response.

SteelyMan:
@Tosine, they responded to my inquiry saying that my application had not yet been processed and assuring me that it would be treated as priority if I paid for priority. It read like a template response. So, still waiting. Any movement on your end?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 2:03pm On Apr 21, 2017
@SteelyMan Any update yet?

SteelyMan:
@Tosine, I'm guessing it might be a busy period for them. I emailed an inquiry via https://ukvi-international.faq-help.com/. They say to expect a response in 24 hours, but I have not heard back from them yet — 48 hours and counting.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 6:21am On Apr 12, 2017
Hello @SteelyMan, I applied via priority and still no feedback yet. Its almost a month since I did my biometrics. Anyways, I'm patiently waiting for the good news.

SteelyMan:
Hi Tosine, just checking in - did you apply via priority? Any feedback yet, other than the standard acknowledgement email? Thanks.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 6:20am On Apr 11, 2017
You don't have to delete his name. You can put a note to support the chats that you refer to your husband as honey thus the name honey is appearing on your phone.

preciouschiomy:
Hello house. Please I need an advice. I am trying to screen shot my chats with my husband, but I just realised that what is showing in place of his number, is the name I stored his number with on my phone (Honey). should i just delete the name from my phone contact so that, his phone number can be visible?

The email that replied you, does it have donotreply? If it does you will have to reply them using UKVI email form. You can also call them if you can afford it.

I'm so sure they have your supporting documents.

Oluwatobii:
so i got this mail from them. should i send the details via the email form on their website or is there a particular email address i am. supposed to send it to?
anyone with this kind of issue? thank you
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 11:52am On Apr 05, 2017
@Oluwatobii

@lollipop422 and @richdopeboi had the same issue. I hope they can explain how it was resolved.

lollipop422:
What did you eventually do? I sent the supporting documents to *International Operation and Visa, Home Office, UK Boarder Agency, UK VISAS AND IMMIGRATION, P.O. Box 3468, Sheffield, S3 8WA*. That's where we were told to send it by the VAC and on the TSL website. I believe we sent it to the right address, my hubby received an email on the 28th stating we should send it to the Vulcan House too.

What are you planning on doing?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 10:15am On Apr 05, 2017
What address did you send your supporting documents to?

What postal service company did you use; royal mail; DHL? Did you track it that your documents were delivered?

Oluwatobii:
Good morning people, pls i got this mail this morning but i have sent the documents long ago , 10th of March and it was signed for by someone named k booth. What do u guys suggest i do?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 9:02pm On Mar 27, 2017
Just your current passport, 1st page of your online application form and photocopies of visas and stamps on your previous passport.
Other documents will be sent to Sheffield with your supporting documents.

No interview. If there is any need for Interview you will be contacted from Sheffield later.

Chukky77:
hello house.
please my biometrics is in two days in VICTORIA ISLAND. what are the documents that will be taken from me?

passports
tb certificate
birth certificate
financial requirement form
and online form printed out

is this all?

ALSO WILL I HAVE AN INTERVIEW ON THE SPOT OR WILL IT BE LATER. PLEASE LET ME KNOW SOI'M WELL PREPARED
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 7:20pm On Mar 24, 2017
I think some people do get an email confirming the receiving of supporting documents from Sheffield, I'm not too sure about that.
Anyways we shall rejoice over the good news of our settlement visa soonest. Amen.

SteelyMan:
17 March was actually my biometrics appointment date and I posted my docs the same day via DHL. I received an email confirming receipt of my online application on 20 March. I have received nothing else, but DHL tracking reveals that they have received my supporting docs. It appears they do not acknowledge receipt of anything beyond the biometrics.
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 10:48am On Mar 24, 2017
I applied on the 15th of March, almost the same time as yours. Have you received any email with regards to Sheffield receiving your supporting documents?

I sent my supporting docs on Tuesday and it was delivered the next day by royal mail, I am yet to receive an email to confirm my documents have been received in Sheffield. I only got an email that my online application was received which was before I sent my documents.

SteelyMan:
Another question, for all that applied and received their visas, was your visa valid-from date based on your stated intended travel date?

I ask because I stated my travel date as 25 May. However, I applied on 17 March and paid for priority. If I get my passport back as early as late April, I would gladly up and leave long before 25 May.

Whah do you all think about this?
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 7:33pm On Mar 23, 2017
Take a screenshot of your WhatsApp conversation. You can take a screenshot of maybe 2 pages per month or all your conversation if you want to.

You can also export all your WhatsApp chat to word and also add that.

Same thing for Facebook. Clt+Alt+printscreen will take a screenshot of your page on computer, you can now paste on word.

Chukky77:
hi house. does anyone know the best format to present whatsapp and facebook messages that will be acceptable

anyone that has done so please let me know. Also facebook video calls as this is how we communicate everyday
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 6:45pm On Mar 19, 2017
For you to get to the IHS payment page, You must have completed and submitted your online application. It's the information you put on your application that will display on the IHS page.

Maybe at a point during the filling of the online application, you have put your old passport details in place of the current passport.

What I would advice is continue then write a note of error or a cover letter explaining what happened. Submit that with all your supporting documents.

Chukky77:
Everything was correctly done. I don't know why
TravelRe: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 4:37pm On Mar 19, 2017
Have you completed your online application?
Did you put your old passport details as your current passport on the online application? Please check!!

Chukky77:
HEllo house. in the process of paying for my IHS and my old passport details are showing rather than the new. What do i do?

please help i'm a bit confused

Thanks for the clarification.

lollipop422:
Hi,

They are both the same. The Po box means they go an pick it up from the post office. They received mine. The email they sent was automated, but they confirmed receipt. You could send it to either I guess but I would go with the PO box to follow instruction. I would also write your gwf number on the front and back of the envelope and make sure you send it by recorded delivery, so you can track it. And make sure you make copies for yourself separate to the ones you send to them.

Make sure it's properly organised too.
Good luck. It is well by Gods grace

Good evening house,

I have started my application online and i am under part 3>Family details. Spouse\Partner

The questions under this section states:

2)Will your spouse/Partner be travelling with you? NO
3)Current passport or travel document number?
4)Nationality?

Questions 3 and 4 are they for me (Applicant) or my Spouse?

Answers from anyone that has an idea. Thanks

She lives with her younger sister. It's a 2 bedroom house.

All these information will be put in the sponsor cover letter and landlord supporting letter.
