Hi,

Does anyone know or have used the UKVCAS IDV app for submitting documents and biometrics.
Travel / Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by tosine: 7:17pm On Jun 04, 2022
Hi,

Is it possible to upgrade my standard ILR application to super priority. I submitted my application using standard payment before I realised that I wanted a super priority.
Travel / Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by tosine: 12:36am On May 31, 2022
Hi Guys,

I am about to apply for my indefinite leave to remain in the UK. I intend using the priority service. I just want to confirm if there is a priority service or only the super priority service is available. I read some where that they have both. Priority takes 5 working days and the super takes 24 hours is it true?
Travel / Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by tosine: 12:47am On Feb 21, 2021
Thanks.

Another question: Do we need to pay NHS Surcharge for indefinite leave to remain in the UK application.

Bourne007:
It's a 'must' requirement

Hi guys,

Is there a page for indefinite leave to remain in the UK.

Also, is life in the UK test required for indefinite leave to remain in the UK. I am asking because I will soon be applying for this. Thanks
Travel / Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by tosine: 1:24pm On Jan 05, 2020
Total cost for super priority

Fees - 1033
Super Priority- 800
NHS - 1000

So roughly about £3000

I submitted my application about 7 weeks before expiry to get a date for biometrics for 1 month before expiry.

teejay231:
Congratulations! If you don't mind me asking, what was the total cost for the super priority application? Also, how soon before expiry did you apply? Thanks.

You can upload all your documents. I did all my uploading on the UKVAS website.

Minnienellie24:
Please can someone explain to me how this document scanning method works?

Is there a designated body or place where this has to be done or I can just do it on my own and submit? My hubby is due for his FLR renewal in February and everything just seems to be different from what I thought it would be when he first applied.

Good day house,

Is it true you can apply for FLR(M) after spending 30 months in the UK.

I read it somewhere.
Travel / Re: Applying For FLR After Your Initial UK Spouse Visa (extension) by tosine: 3:19pm On Oct 01, 2019
Thanks
Demoore:
Hi Tosine, you are eligible to apply for an extension 28 days to the expiry of your current visa. Count 28 days backwards from the expiry date on your BRP to confirm date from which you will be eligible to apply for your extension.

Hope this helps.

All the best.

@Fynebouy, You applied for your brp 2 months before your current brp expired. What date does your new brp starts counting from? Date of when it was issued or after your current brp expires

romeoandjuliet:
[Hello. Congrats on your successful application. Was it priority?because it was quite quick and did you write the cover letter? Because my hubby has been refused visa 3times before he was finally granted the spouse Visa but while we were filling up the renewal application form online we only remembered 2 refusal and we only realized the mistake after submitting the application. Can we also include a cover letter explaining this to them. Please house advice me
Thank you in advance.
uote author=Fynebouy post=82527099]Good day e-fam,

I too want to report that I got an approval email from UKVI on the FLR(M) extension application. I followed the advise here more or less and included more documents. I think for the proof of residency, I sent over 30 documents, not to mention the other categories of requested documents. Although my current BRP expires in like 2 months time; I had gone ahead to apply as I had been out of the country for quite some time in the last 12 months and I didn't want any issues. Or my thoughts were if those absences presented a problem, then the time available will be enough for me to go back and appeal or re-apply so I don't fall into unapproved presence incountry.

I now have to wait for my BRP.

To all others who are still on course, best of luck and God be with you.

Hello house,

My UK spouse Visa is due for renewal in the last week of January. I want to know from when should I start applying and booking for an appointment. Don't want to get an appointment after my Visa is expired. I plan to use the super priority service.

How is everyone settling in? The cold nights are here, please stay warm.

If you are based in London and looking for a job, there's a massive recruitment in Amazon fulfilment center based in tilbury. You can look up to it online if interested.
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 10:40am On Jun 20, 2017
Same happened during mine. They normally don't send a confirmation email of receiving supporting documents. They only send an email of receiving your application. Did you receive that?

Feeyonce:
Hello everyone, this thread have been so helpful. Thanks for all the tips.
Dear experts in the house I need your advice as I am so worried, I submitted my passport and did my thumb print at tls contact center in Abuja 31st of May 2017, and I was asked to send my supporting documents which I sent via dhl to my hubby in the U.K. which he finally sent via registered Royal Mail to Sheffield on the 8th of June 2017,which he tracked via Royal Mail and told me they recieved it the next day 9th of June 2017, but we haven't gotten any email confirmation that they have recieved our supporting document either from Ukvi or tls till now,and we are so worried,we tried to track online on ukvi website but It's not recognizing my reference number. We are so worried not to have recieved a confirmation email after 8 days
Please is this normal? What should we do?
Thanks, hoping for a reply soon.

As long as you have other supporting documents such as emails, chat logs, phone logs, pictures of time spent together before during after wedding, marriage certificate, evidence that you have visited each other along with the proof of money transfer will confirm that your relationship is genuine.

AdimO1:
@lexusg430 @justwise @tosine and the house, i was told that proof of money transfer (as show of support ) from Sponsor to Applicant will be viewed as non genuine relationship, especially if the said sum is a large sum or if sent monthly. please would like to know your opinion. thanks

You don't need a sponsorship form. The financial and appendix 2 are the forms you only need.

joygirl2017:

Hi tosine pls can you help me out I have some questions do I need a sponorship form suv? We have the appendix 2 and the financial form about sending to Sheffield pls kindly help out if you submitted it .

You don't need to panic. If there's any concern they should have contacted you via email or phone call. For normal application you should exercise patience, it can sometimes take time. I'm sure you should hear from them before the end of this month.

Normal application@tosine

Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 4:40am On May 20, 2017
Did you apply through priority or normal application?

Mystiqueefua:
Good evening house. I've been following this thread for a while now. Please I have a question;

Thank you.

1) You can put in any date, just be sincere about the visa refusals, they have all the info. You can put a note to it in the additional information that you can't remember the exact date. Make sure the year and month is correct.

2) You have to have a review of the application before submitting no matter who is filing. So that you and hubby can be in the same picture with regards all the info in case they call for Interview.

3) You can still do priority, i was denied a UK Visa once and I applied through priority and got my visa within 5 weeks.

4) Include every information you can. No informtion is too much for this considering the amount of money, time put into this.

EvaMD:
hello my good people,

so we ((hubby's lawyer)even though I think i'v got this because I have been coming here everyday since last year), but my hubby is convinced his lawyer is a guru (fingers crossed)) are filling the form online and he( lawyer) is asking for dates of common wealth country visa refusals that I cant seem to remember exact dates in the past ( one refusal in 2010 - italy,2012 -france and one in 2016- france - the 2016 I can remember because it is on my recent passport. all other refusals were on the passport that was impounded when I applied for UK visa in 2012.

my question is :

1. he ( lawyer) is saying since we cant find exact date to the other two we just ignore or put in any date,- what do you guys think?
2. having been on here so much I feel like i'v got this and should fill the form myself but hubby ( headstrong-(love you still just incase he is reading this) and believes in his lawyer) thinks otherwise, should i insist on having a final review or just them sort it out?
3.can I still do priority considering the fact that I had an impounded passport 5 years ago? really want to spend his birthday with him and its in august
4.My daughter has gotten her passport and its an added advantage- do I need to attach a lot of evidence to this effect- pictures and all or just focus more on our relationship?

Thank you guys for all you do..

the real MVP's

You apply from www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk for your UK settlement visa
You only open an account with TLS to complete your application process, pay for priority and book your biometrics.
After opening an account to begin your application with
www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk you have I think 10 days to complete your application.

quote author=Isommex post=56580737]Hello the gurus in the house pls do we need to open an acct with tls before making application and how long does this whole application take as someone stated u can keep logging in and out of the acct to fill the application. Can someone help pls.[/quote]

Sponsor submits all that. You will have to send that to your sponsor to submit with all other supporting documents to Sheffield. You only submit your passport, evidence of payment and photocopies of previous passports on biometric day.

Isommex:
@tosine what about English test and tuberculosis test is it the sponsor that summit that or applicants on biometric day.
Travel / Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 7:34am On May 11, 2017
For biometrics they collect only your current passport, The first page of your application form and evidence of payments for application and nhs. They also scan all your previous passport containing visas and stamps. Remember to make a copy of all your previous passport page containing visas and stamps.

Realgeo:

I assume no one has answers to this question. Thanks

Yes, same day. Only if there is a complicated issue with your xray result which I doubt can be your case.
I'll suggest you call them and book an appointment.

please @tosine did you get the results same day? I ask because I want to go into lagos and use that same time to do my biometrics as well

Send your documents to your husband who will eventually send all documents as one package to Sheffield. You are to send in your documents as one not separately.

You have 2 weeks after the day of biometrics to send in your supporting documents to Sheffield.

Remember to put your application no on the self addressed envelope when sending your documents and also state if it's a priority visa.

Phebesfab:
Good Evening house, I am a silent follower and this forum has helped in collating my documents. I went for my biometric registration today at Ikeja and I was told that the don't collect any supporting documents again from applicants. I was told to send it to their UK address.

My husband told me to send my documents to him so he can add his own documents ( because we thought that we were going to submit our evidences separately). Is that the right thing to do? Or are suppose to send it separately. Also, what's the deadline for the submission of the supporting documents? Thank you

When completing you application online, you will select any available date and time for your biometrics. That is te day you go for biometrics.

EvaMD:

thank you so much, so that means I have to go to lagos ,also did you receive an email to come for biometrics or you just went in on any day, I ask this to enable me plan, so I know I go to lagos and get it done
